Empowering Nursing Leadership: A Pathway to Enhanced Patient and Provider Quality of Life
Full text linkIntroduction: The impact of nursing leadership on the quality of life of patients and providers is significant yet too frequently not acknowledged. Empowerment of nursing leadership to improve outcomes in quality of life for patients and providers.Methods: We adopted a qualititative research design using focus groups and questionnaires with leaders in nursing, healthcare and patients. The sample included 50 selected from multiple health care domains.Results: Empowering nursing leadership had a positive impact on patient and provider quality of life. Participants reported clearer communication, greater collaboration, and increased job satisfaction. As a result, patients felt they were being heard and involved in their care, which led to improved health outcomes and better satisfaction.Conclusions: This statement truly punctuates the idea that empowered nursing leadership can enhance quality of life for both patient and provider alike in measurable ways. Nursing leaders play an important part in developing organizational culture, which can be a vehicle for ethical decision-making and development of moral courage for all. Additional studies should be performed to determine the best practices for developing and promoting empowering nursing leadership. In the end, investing in nursing leadership is a way to promote better patient outcomes and to support healthcare providers in a more positive working environment
Emotional intelligence and its relationship with leadership: research keys
Full text linkIntroduction: In organizations, emotional intelligence is closely linked to work teams and its relationship with factors such as maturity, intellectual capital, high levels of wisdom to solve the different problems that occur in human relations, and the ability to bounce back in the face of adversity. In this sense, this paper aims to carry out a bibliometric analysis of emotional intelligence and its relationship with leadership to identify the keys to research. Methods: A bibliographic review is carried out in the Scopus database, considering the articles published in English between 2002 and 2022. In this regard, the documents are analyzed by year, author, country, research area, co-authorship, and co-occurrence. Results: The results reveal the formation of two clusters. The first cluster is related to Emotional Intelligence, and the second cluster is related to Transformational Leadership. It is evident that Emotional Intelligence allows the leader to intuit the collaborators\u27 needs and search for the means to satisfy them; likewise, it is found that the transformational leader must promote change and empower people to become empowered.Conclusions: Emotional intelligence is a key factor for those who assume the role of leaders since it facilitates relationships with individuals and the understanding of emotions. The leadership style adopted should help manage the organization\u27s human resources to promote the team\u27s emotional growth and job satisfaction

Technology has introduced equipment, software and applications that facilitate daily medical activities. In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) has played a crucial role, offering practical solutions to complex problems. Its concept dates back to the 1950s, although the lack of technological development at that time limited its adoption in medicine. Since 2000, AI has evolved, perfecting its capacity for self-learning and analysis of complex algorithms, features that have captured the interest of the health sciences. Based on neural network models inspired by the human brain, AI allows machines to make autonomous decisions, marking a new era for medicin
