Lokananta Music as Social Technology: An Interdisciplinary Study of Culture, Spirituality, and Community Psychology in the Sriwijaya Region
The periodic emergence of Lokananta sounds in the Batu Mountain region of Malaya Sriwijaya represents a unique cultural and spiritual phenomenon that connects the physical and supernatural realms. This study aims to explore how the Lokananta sounds function as a form of social technology that reinforces social cohesion and collective identity within the community. Additionally, it investigates the relationship between the sounds and lithophonic artifacts, such as stone drums, gongs, and canang, within the cultural and spiritual context of the region. Utilizing a qualitative and phenomenological approach, the research was conducted in the Batu Mountain area of South Sumatra, Indonesia, in July 2024. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and local community members, and an analysis of lithophonic artifacts. The study found that the Lokananta sounds, characterized by a unique four-beat minor scale, act as an auditory ritual bridging the human and supernatural realms. These sounds, along with the lithophonic artifacts like the Gendang Batu and Gong Batu, serve as spiritual symbols that strengthen the community’s cosmological beliefs. The findings highlight the importance of preserving both the sonic and spatial dimensions of cultural heritage, emphasizing their role in maintaining psychosocial and spiritual well being
Radiogenomics in oncology: image-genome integration for personalized medicine
Introduction: radiogenomics, which combines medical imaging data with genomic profiling, has emerged as a key tool in precision oncology. This noninvasive approach improves the diagnosis and prognosis of tumors such as lung, rectal, glioma, and breast cancer.
Objectives: A systematic review (PRISMA 2020) was conducted of studies published between 2020 and 2025, extracted from PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and the Cochrane Library. Of 670 articles found, 21 met the inclusion criteria.
Methods: this was a systematic review following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Original studies, reviews, and meta-analyses published in English or Spanish were included. Searches were conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and the Cochrane Library.
Results: of a total of 670 articles retrieved, 21 met the inclusion criteria. Most studies demonstrated a high predictive capacity of radiogenomic models to identify mutations such as EGFR and KRAS.
Conclusions: this study underscores the need to establish multicenter protocols and robust validations to ensure their clinical applicability and consolidate their role in personalized medicine
Measurement of environmental soil radioactivity using gamma-ray spectrometry
IntroductionExposure to naturally occurring and anthropogenic radionuclides is a ubiquitous feature of the environment. Consequently, establishing baseline levels of environmental radiation is imperative for ensuring public safety and for the timely assessment of potential contamination events.ObjectiveThis study aims to develop a preliminary database and a spatial map of natural background radiation levels in the air within Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam.MethodologyA total of 42 soil samples were systematically collected from the study area. These samples were subsequently analyzed to determine their radioactive content through the indexes: Radium Equivalent Activity, Representative Level Index, Absorbed Dose Rate, Annual Effective Dose Rate, External hazard index, Internal hazard index. The resulting data was then utilized to construct a foundational map of natural background radiation.ResultsThe research successfully established a preliminary database and a spatial map depicting natural radiation background. This foundational dataset is critical for ongoing radiological monitoring and serves as an important reference for regional economic and tourism development initiatives.ConclusionDetailed analysis and discussion of the study\u27s conclusions are presented in the corresponding section at the end of this paper
Embedding MOMA Digital Learning Media in a Game-Based Learning Framework to Enhance Financial Literacy of Vocational Students
Introduction: financial literacy the ability to manage personal finances is crucial, yet Indonesia’s rate remains low, particularly among vocational high school (SMK) students who struggle with budget control and saving. Conventional teaching methods rarely enlace theory to practice, highlighting the need for innovation Game-Based Learning provides a solution through simulations that let students make financial decisions safely. This study introduces MOMA (Money Management), a digital tool that integrates gamification and experiential learning to strengthen financial knowledge and habits.Methods: this study applied a quantitative Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design involving 632 students from six vocational high schools (SMK) in Yogyakarta province. The independent variable was the learning method (MOMA-based Game-Based Learning compared with conventional methods), while the dependent variable was financial literacy. A pretest measured initial literacy, followed by treatment in experimental classes using MOMA and control classes with traditional methods, and a posttest assessed improvement.Results: the results showed an overview of students’ financial literacy levels based on the analysis of their overall scores. The mean score indicated that most students were at a moderate level of financial literacy, suggesting that they possessed a basic understanding of financial concepts but still lacked depth in certain areas such as investment management and long-term financial planning. The standard deviation value demonstrated a relatively small spread of scores, indicating that most students’ performance was clustered around the mean. This consistency reflects a relatively uniform level of financial literacy across the sample, although variations were still observed among individuals.Conclusions: the MOMA game-based learning approach effectively enhanced students’ financial literacy by providing engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Generation Prediction in a Mini Hydroelectric Power Plant Using Machine Learning and Open-Source Software
Introduction: Ecuadorian electric companies that own run-of-the-river hydroelectric plants with regulating reservoirs equal to or less than one day must submit the hourly generation curve planned for the following day to the National Electricity Operator of Ecuador (CENACE) before 10:00 am daily, in addition to having long-term estimates that allow for optimizing their operational planning.Objective: To predict the behavior of electrical power generation at the Illuchi 1 run-of-river plant by applying machine learning methods, and then determine the most efficient method for each time scenario.Method: For the development of this study, a historical database of electrical power generation from the Illuchi 1 mini hydroelectric plant was compiled, corresponding to a period of 3 years, 7 months, which was ordered chronologically and subsequently preprocessed. The open-source software Python was used, applying a methodology based on the model and evaluation of machine learning techniques such as Linear Regression, LSTM, GRU and XGBoost. Results: The XGBoost algorithm showed better prediction performance for one and seven days, obtaining mean absolute error MAE values of 39.26 [W] and 25.60 [W] respectively and the coefficient of determination R2 of 0.44 and 0.79. On the other hand, the GRU model showed greater prediction accuracy in the two-day horizon, reaching a mean absolute error MAE of 36.03 [W] and its coefficient of determination R2 of 0.61.Conclusions: XGBoost and GRU stand out from other prediction methods due to their ability to identify non-linear models, in order to optimize their forecast accuracy at different time intervals
Innovating Early Childhood Sexuality Education through Animated Learning Media: A Development and Validation Study
Introduction: The urgency of providing sexuality education during early childhood has been widely recognised; however, pedagogical approaches remain fragmented, culturally sensitive, and often neglected. Conventional teaching methods tend to rely on verbal explanations, which are limited in their ability to engage children and address issues of gender identity, body safety, and self-protection behaviours. This study responds to this gap by developing and validating an innovative animated learning medium designed for comprehensive, age-appropriate sexuality education in early childhood.Method: Adopting a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework, this study included 60 kindergarten children aged 5–6 years and 12 teachers from Indonesia. Expert validations, teacher evaluations, classroom observations, and focus group discussions were conducted to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the medium.Results: The animated video received strong validation scores (80–96.47%), high practicality (81.44–92%), and excellent effectiveness (86.31–92.10%). Children showed measurable progress in recognising gender identity, understanding social roles, and applying protective behaviours in risky situations. Teachers highlighted the cultural relevance of the medium and its role in reducing instructional barriers when addressing sensitive topics.Conclusion: The study demonstrates that animated media can serve as a transformative pedagogical tool in early childhood sexuality education. By combining developmental relevance with digital innovation, the intervention contributes to global discourses on inclusive education, abuse prevention, and early promotion of gender equity. The findings underscore the potential of animation-based learning to strengthen both child protection and educational innovation internationally
Weight-specific quality of life and nutritional status of adolescents in northeastern of Mexico
Introduction: overweight and obesity in adolescents are related to psychological consequences, so it is important to explore the variable of weight-specific quality of life in this population. Objective: to examine the differences in the weight-specific quality of life of adolescents according to their nutritional status in northeastern Mexico. Method: 104 adolescents participated. Participants completed a self-administered questionnaire that included measures of weight-specific quality of life. Height, weight and body mass index (BMI) were measured. Results: 53,8 % of the participants were male (n=56), 16,34 % (n=17) were overweight and 31,7 % (n=33) had some degree of obesity. Of the overweight-obese adolescents, 56,7 % reported a lower quality of life with respect to their weight (Cramer\u27s V = 0.142, p = 0.352). In general, it was found that adolescents more frequently reported a lower quality of life (73,2 %) with respect to their weight. Conclusions: in his sample Mexican adolescents, overweight and obesity was associated with significantly lower weight-specific quality of life. Interventions that integrate strategies for emotional self-care related to body weight are recommended
Factors Affecting Auditors\u27 Intention To Use Artificial Intelligence In Financial Statement Audits: Empirical Evidence From Vietnam
Introduction: artificial intelligence (AI) is a fundamental technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, influencing various facets of social life across numerous nations, including Vietnam. The Prime Minister\u27s Accounting and Auditing Strategy for 2030 in Vietnam(1) underscores the objective of executing digital transformation in accounting and auditing, accentuating the significance of AI applications in this initiative. Consequently, it is imperative to comprehend the determinants that affect the implementation of AI in auditing. This study seeks to analyze the determinants influencing auditors\u27 intention to employ AI in financial statement audits by synthesizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB).Method: a quantitative analysis was conducted using SPSS 22, based on data collected from 139 independent auditors currently working at audit firms in Vietnam.Results: the results indicate that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control all have a positive impact on auditors’ intention to adopt AI in financial statement audits. Among these, attitude is the most influential positive factor, and perceived behavioral control has the lowest influence on auditors\u27 intention to use AI.Conclusions: these findings provide a basis for proposing recommendations to technology service providers in the audit sector and organizational management to enhance both the extent and effectiveness of AI adoption by auditors in financial statement audits
Digital Pathways to Radicalization: Step to Terrorism with Understanding Social, Psychological, and Technological Dimensions of Terrorism in Indonesia
Introduction: radicalization and terrorism have become pressing public health and social challenges in Indonesia, where individuals are increasingly exposed to extremist ideologies through diverse social and technological channels. Family and friendship networks, religious institutions, educational settings, and especially digital platforms contribute to the dissemination of radical narratives. The rapid expansion of social media has accelerated the spread of extremist content, intensifying the risk of radicalization at the community level.Objective: this study aims to analyze the stages through which individuals in Indonesia progress toward radicalization and terrorism. By applying the theory of the three stages of terrorism, the research investigates how exposure to social and digital environments facilitates the pathway to extremist organizations such as Al Jamaah Al Islamiyah, Negara Islam Indonesia, and Jamaah Anshar Daulah. The study further seeks to highlight the social, psychological, and technological dimensions of these processes and their implications for public health and resilience.Method: a qualitative design was employed, combining primary and secondary document analysis with interpretative approaches to map the radicalization trajectory. The data were drawn from organizational records, policy documents, media reports, and prior research to trace individual pathways from pre-radicalism to acts of terror. This triangulated method enabled a contextualized understanding of the dynamic interplay between social influence, psychological vulnerability, and technological drivers of radicalization.Results: findings reveal that radicalization in Indonesia follows three interconnected phases: pre-radicalism, exposure to radical ideologies, and participation in terror acts. Social networks provide the initial entry points, while digital technologies amplify and accelerate recruitment and indoctrination processes. The study concludes that radicalization is not only a security concern but also a multidimensional issue that intersects with health, social well-being, and technological development. Strengthening digital literacy, fostering community resilience, and integrating preventive policies across health, education, and technology sectors are crucial strategies to mitigate the risks of radicalization and terrorism
Physical Activity in the Digital Era: Bibliometric Analysis of Emerging Technologies to Improve Physical and Mental Health
Introduction: Digital technologies have transformed strategies for promoting health, psychological well-being, and the prevention of chronic diseases. Over the past decade, tools such as mobile applications, wearable devices, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence have enabled the development of personalized interventions to improve physical activity and overall health. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the evolution of scientific research on digital technologies applied to physical activity and their impact on physical and mental health between 2015 and 2025, identifying dominant trends, influential technologies, and research gaps. Method: A total of 5,592 records were retrieved from the Web of Science and PubMed databases. After screening and deduplication, 633 original articles were selected for bibliometric and qualitative analysis. Descriptive statistics, keyword co-occurrence, and collaboration networks were generated using R (v4.4.2) and VOSviewer (v1.6.20), complemented by a qualitative review of the 99 most-cited studies. Results: Scientific production showed steady growth, with a sharp rise during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mobile applications and mHealth dominated the field, appearing in 78% of the most-cited papers, demonstrating effectiveness in improving adherence to physical activity programs and monitoring physiological parameters. Virtual reality and exergaming emerged as promising tools for rehabilitation and motivation, while artificial intelligence showed emerging potential for personalized interventions. However, gaps remain regarding regional representation, AI integration, and longitudinal study design. Conclusions: Digital technologies have redefined the promotion of physical activity and health management, fostering personalized and scalable interventions. Although research has become increasingly consolidated, challenges persist in methodological standardization, inclusion of underrepresented regions, and long-term assessment of outcomes. These findings provide valuable guidance for future studies and the development of innovative digital health strategies.
