Bullying is a serious, widely recognized public problem that affects many students worldwide, creating profound impacts on their well-being, including psychological well-being that vary by gender. This study objective to analyze the differences in the psychological well-being of bullying victims in Indonesia based on gender. This type of research used is comparative research. The sample in this study was 3296 students (M = .50; SD = 1.15) consisting of 37.2% male and 62.8% female. The Scales of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB) was used to collect data on student psychological well-being of bullying victims in Indonesia. The analysis technique used is descriptive and differences with the Welch test. The results showed that the average psychological well-being of males was higher than that of females, with a statistically significant difference. These findings suggest that gender differences in experiences and responses to bullying affect psychological well-being differently. Females tend to be more vulnerable to the emotional impacts of bullying, such as shame and low self-esteem, while males may be better able to cope with negative feelings through external coping mechanisms or suppressing their emotions

Abstract: One of the severe illnesses that causes uncontrollable and unexpected outcomes is Parkinson\u27s disease(PD). People over 50  years of age are typically the ones who contract this illness. The patients\u27 symptoms progressively become worse leading to a variety of abnormalities such as body part rigidity and abnormalities in speech and gait. In addition, the patients have sadness, sleep deprivation, memory problems, mental illness, and numerous other health problems. Parkinson\u27s disease is caused by damage or death of neurons in the brain\u27s basal ganglia, but scientists and doctors are unable to pinpoint the causes of this damage or death. Therefore, timely disease diagnosis and treatment can help patients avoid unanticipated life implications. The biggest benefit of this era is the application of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and machine learning(ML) in the healthcare industry, which facilitates and expedites diagnosis and prediction. In this paper, we have proposed a solution for Parkinson’s disease prediction. We have done a comparative analysis in terms of performance by implementing various Machine Learning algorithms that can be used for Parkinson’s disease predictions. Random Forest performs better than a lot of other ML methods showing 99% accuracy.

    Get PDF
Globalization has reshaped the soundscape of pop music, enabling the fusion of traditional ethnic elements, such as indigenous instruments, folk rhythms, regional languages, and vocal styles, into mainstream compositions. While such integrations reflect growing cultural interconnectivity, questions persist regarding how these creative choices influence audience perception and commercial outcomes. This research investigates the impact of ethnic integration on listener attitudes, perceived authenticity, cultural appreciation, stereotyping concerns, and market performance in global pop music. The research involved a quantitative research design, including a content analysis of 100 internationally popular pop songs (2015-2024) and survey responses from 1,200 global music listeners. Songs were systematically coded for ethnic elements, and participants evaluated them across multiple dimensions, including authenticity, appreciation, novelty, stereotyping, and engagement. Commercial success was measured through global streaming metrics and chart performance. Statistical techniques included Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to assess perceptual differences, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to structure perceptual dimensions, and hierarchical regression analysis to model relationships between perception variables and commercial performance. All analyses were conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 28. Results indicated that songs featuring ethnic elements were rated higher for authenticity, cultural value, and novelty but also raised concerns about stereotyping. The research shows that perceived authenticity and cultural appreciation greatly influence listener engagement and commercial success in global pop music. When applied appropriately, ethnic integration, enhances cultural engagement and broadens the international appeal of pop music

    Get PDF
The integration of immersive technologies such as augmented reality (AR) in tourism and hospitality education remains limited, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia, where textbook-based instruction often restricts student engagement and practical skill development, leaving gaps in spatial, procedural, and conceptual competencies. This study examined the effectiveness of mobile AR applications in improving hospitality competencies and explored gender-based differences in learning outcomes among vocational school students. A quasi-experimental design was implemented with 420 eleventh-grade students from four vocational schools over eight weeks, where the experimental group used AR to simulate hotel operations while the control group received textbook-based instruction. Hospitality Competency Test scores were analyzed using ANCOVA controlling for pre-test scores, and qualitative data from semi-structured interviews were thematically analyzed to complement the quantitative results. Findings showed a significant positive effect of AR on overall competency (F(1,417)=175.36, p<.001, ηp²=.296; Cohen’s d=1.18), with higher post-test performance in spatial awareness, procedural knowledge, and conceptual understanding. A significant gender-by-intervention interaction (F(1,415)=5.04, p=.025, ηp²=.012) indicated that females in the AR group achieved greater gains in procedural knowledge (d=0.43) and spatial learning. Qualitative findings reinforced these outcomes, revealing increased engagement, collaboration, and comprehension of complex service processes, with only minor technical challenges. These results suggest that AR can be effectively integrated into competency-based vocational curricula to accelerate skill acquisition, enhance engagement, and promote gender equity in hospitality training, provided that adequate infrastructure and teacher professional development are ensured. Future research should include multi-site longitudinal studies to assess retention, workplace transfer, cost-effectiveness, and the potential benefits of integrating AR with VR, AI, and learning analytics for scalable implementation
