Bibliometric Analysis of Global Research Trends in Psychological Well-Being of Teacher: 2015–2024 Using VOSviewer
This study examines the influence of teacher well-being on educators, students, and other stakeholders, focusing on trends in existing research. This study aims to create a bibliometric map of articles discussing teacher well-being using the VOSviewer application from a psychological perspective. Data collection was conducted using reference management software, specifically Publish or Perish, to facilitate a literature review centered on the topic of teacher well-being. This approach provides insights into the scope and depth of existing studies, highlighting patterns and gaps for further exploration. The keywords "teachers" and "wellbeing" were employed during the data gathering process. Articles selected for the analysis were those published between 2015 and 2024. The findings identified 500 articles relevant to the topic of teacher well-being published within the last decade.Research trends in the world based on research publications on teacher wellbeing have increased from 2015 to 2020. However, from 2020 to 2024 the trend of research on teacher wellbeing continues to decline. Based on the results of bibliometric analysis, the term teacher welfare has 152 links. It can be concluded that research publications on teacher well-being are still limited to research and have great opportunities for further teacher’s well being research from psychological perspective in the future especially in job resources, psychological capital, emotional intelligence, motivation, expectations, age, and connections
Emotional competencies of health science educators: a systematic review
Introduction: In the field of Health Sciences, education emerges as an eminent challenge that involves the emotional competencies of educators to provide answers to the demands and needs of students.Objective: To analyze the importance of the emotional competencies of Health Sciences educators in relation to the learning of professionals in training.Methods: An exploratory systematic review was carried out in the databases Dialnet, PubMed, Redalyc and SciELO for the last 10 years. The sample consisted of 23 articles subject to the inclusion criteria.Results: Three topics are proposed centered on the theoretical bases of the emotional competencies of educators; their importance and relationship with the learning of professionals in training; and the impetus to include emotional education in Health Sciences programs.Conclusions: The emotional competencies of educators allow improving the management of emotions and motivation
Challenges and Strategies in Oral Hygiene of Bedridden Patients: An Integrative Literature Review
This literature review examines the challenges and strategies in oral hygiene for bedridden patients based on publications from 2020-2024. The research demonstrates sustained growth in scientific interest in this area, with a significant increase in publications that doubled from 10 in 2020 to 20 in 2024. The main findings show a fundamental relationship between oral health and systemic conditions, highlighting the relevance of implementing standardized care protocols and the crucial role of properly trained caregivers. International collaboration, led by the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, has been instrumental in developing evidence-based practices. The review highlights three essential aspects for improving care: the need for specialized equipment, the formation of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and comprehensive caregiver education. Evidence suggests that this integrated approach, combining technical, professional, and educational resources, is fundamental to optimizing outcomes in bedridden patients and elevating their quality of life. The literature analysis reveals the importance of specific protocols, such as the application of 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate and suction toothbrushes and establishing a minimum oral care regimen twice daily. Additionally, it emphasizes the need to adapt physical spaces and dental equipment to facilitate access and treatment for these patients. The research also highlights the importance of continuing education for both healthcare professionals and caregivers, this being a determining factor in the success of oral care programs
Identification of genetic biomarkers to predict the response to nutritional therapy in patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Introduction: The identification of genetic biomarkers to predict the response to nutritional therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) has become a promising area to improve the response to therapeutic interventions. In addition, biomarkers are of great help as biological determinants, to study, evaluate and determine Diabetes Mellitus 2. Objective: To analyze the genetic biomarkers associated with the response to nutritional therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes, in order to contribute to the development of personalized strategies that optimize metabolic control and improve the effectiveness of nutritional treatment. Methodology: Systematic review based on PRISMA. 15 studies published between 2018-2023 in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Scielo, etc. were included. The inclusion criteria were articles on genetic biomarkers, original, systematic review, case studies. Publications prior to 2017, theses and duplicate articles, articles without free access were excluded. Results: The findings highlight the importance of polygenic markers and epigenetic factors, such as DNA methylation, in predicting therapeutic outcomes. Furthermore, the influence of dietary patterns on biomarker expression emphasizes the potential of personalized nutritional strategies in the management of type 2 diabetes. Conclusion: Despite advances in biomarker research, further studies are needed, particularly in Latin American populations, to develop effective interventions tailored to genetic profiles. Ethical analysis of the fair selection of participants in Human Papillomavirus prevention research
Introduction: human papillomavirus (HPV) infections are the leading cause of cervical cancer. The transmission of this virus occurs primarily through sexual contact. Therefore, research supported by ethical principles must equitably select both men and women as participants, given that both groups benefit from the findings.Objective: to analyze the selection of participants in studies on HPV infection prevention from an ethical perspective.Methods: a narrative review was conducted following the recommendations of Cronin, Ryan, and Coughlan. The databases WoS, PubMed, SCOPUS, and CINAHL Complete were consulted, identifying 530 articles. After removing duplicates and applying predefined eligibility criteria, 19 manuscripts were selected.Results: a significant proportion of the studies originated from Africa. The participants were predominantly women, students, and individuals aged between 27 and 36 years. The findings reveal a bioethical concern regarding the exclusion of certain groups from research, which may cause or exacerbate health disparities, particularly among vulnerable populations.Conclusions: access to research must include both men and women to gather information that supports the development of inclusive regulations and policies for the entire population. Relevance and Impact of Generative AI in Vocational Instructional Material Design: A Systematic Literature Review
This study examines the relevance and impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in the design of instructional materials for vocational education through a systematic literature review following the PRISMA guidelines. The review draws from reputable databases, including Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and ERIC, to identify peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 28 eligible articles were analyzed. The findings highlight that GenAI significantly enhances instructional material design by supporting personalized learning, automating content creation, and improving accessibility. It enables the development of adaptive and high-quality resources tailored to diverse learner needs in vocational education. Furthermore, the study visualizes research trends using bibliometric analysis, providing insights into the evolution and distribution of GenAI-related research across time, regions, and themes. However, challenges such as the need for digital competency development among educators, ethical concerns regarding bias and content quality, and the potential over-reliance on AI tools are identified. This study underscores the importance of balancing AI-driven innovation with human-centered instructional design to ensure effective and sustainable educational practices. Interculturality and pedagogical practices in Chilean preschool education
Introduction: currently in the educational field, boys and girls face new cultures, customs, and languages, through intercultural classrooms from the first years of Chilean education, this due to the growing migration and appreciation of native peoples.Objective: the study aims to describe the intercultural practices carried out by early childhood educators at different levels of early childhood education in educational establishments in the commune of Curicó, Maule region, Chile.Methods: research responds to a qualitative investigation, case study, descriptive, through a semi-structured interview with five early childhood educators, which responds to being an intentional sample.Results: the results show that the preschool educators carry out intercultural practices occasionally, focused on festivities and using mostly audiovisual resources.Conclusions: Based on the above, we can conclude with the need to incorporate intercultural practices permanently and constantly in a transversal manner, independent of the pedagogical topic that is being worked on with the boys and girls
Integrating Local Wisdom of Penti: A Novel Strategy to Enhance Students\u27 Creative Thinking Skills in Biology Education
Introduction: Penti, a traditional Manggarai ceremony, embodies gratitude, reconciliation, and values of cooperation and mutual assistance. These values inspire the PENTI learning model, designed to create contextual learning experiences and improve students\u27 creative thinking skills. This study investigates the model\u27s effectiveness in enhancing high school students\u27 creative thinking.Method: This study employed a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design, involving 337 tenth- grade students in Manggarai Barat, Indonesia. Participants were divided into experimental (PENTI), positive control (STAD), and negative control (conventional) groups. Creative thinking skills were assessed using an essay test rubric based on relevant indicators, with data analyzed via ANCOVA at a 0.05 significance level.Results: The results showed that the PENTI model was significantly more effective than STAD and conventional learning in improving students\u27 creative thinking skills. The LSD test further confirmed significant differences among the groups. Students in the PENTI class achieved an average score of 85.92, which was higher than those in the other groups.Conclusion: The PENTI learning model, which integrates the values of cooperation and mutual assistance from the Penti traditional ceremony, has proven to be effective in enhancing students\u27 creative thinking skills. This model provides contextual and meaningful learning experiences, making it a recommended innovative approach for modern education
The Effect of Lifestyle Measures on Pandemic Disease Prevention among Older Adults
Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vulnerability of older adults, who are the most susceptible population group. Promoting healthier habits like diet, exercise, sleep, and reducing smoking and alcohol consumption can reduce infection risks and prevent severe cases. Public authorities are focusing on elderly adults, but attitudes and compliance with these measures remain largely unknown. The study aims to evaluate older adults\u27 lifestyle measures toward the prevention of COVID-19. Methods: A study involving 350 older adults was conducted at El Fayoum General Hospital and Abshway Central Hospital. A descriptive design was used, and data was collected using a structured interviewing questionnaire. The questionnaire assessed personal characteristics, health status, and self-reported lifestyle practices. The study aimed to understand the health status and lifestyle practices of older adults in El Fayoum.Results: The main results of the study revealed that 30% of the studied group had good personal hygiene, 45.1% had moderate physical activity, 23.1% had good nutrition, 17.1% did not smoke, 30.6% of the studied group did not manage their stress levels, 50.7% had poor social relations. Also,91.7% of them practiced moderate safety lifestyles, while 9% of them had undesirable lifestyles. Additionally, 61.7% of older adults had poor health status. Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted older adults, especially those with chronic illnesses. Implementing preventive measures and managing chronic conditions is crucial to reduce infection risk and improve health outcomes, especially through targeted interventions
Academic performance and sports habit in university students
Introduction: academic performance (AP) is a key indicator of learning, influenced by factors such as physical activity (PA), time allocation, and family environment. However, the specific relationship between sports habits and AP in university students requires further exploration. This study analyzes this association in first-semester students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato.Objective: to identify the relationship between sports habits and academic performance in a sample of 289 university students.Methods: a cross-sectional design was used, applying the IPAQ questionnaire and a sociodemographic survey to assess PA. The sample included students aged 18 to 20 years, excluding those who practiced less than 60 minutes of exercise per week or had a BMI greater than 25. The data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical package to determine correlations between the main variables.Results: physically active students showed a significantly higher academic average (7,86) than those who were inactive (3,59). Football was the most practiced sport (10,11 %), followed by basketball (6,91 %), while 60 minutes per week was the predominant exercise time. The Pearson correlation (0,593) indicated a moderate association between sports habits and academic performance.Conclusion: A positive and significant relationship was determined between sports habit and RA, although conditioned by factors such as the transition to university life. It is recommended to encourage participation in sports activities and increase the time dedicated to PA to consolidate its academic and cognitive benefits
