Strategic marketing of the music club Lucerna Music Bar
No full textThis bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of the current marketing strategy of the music club Lucerna Music Bar and its effectiveness in relation to its target audience. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the club’s existing marketing activities and to propose recommendations for their optimization. The theoretical part defines key marketing concepts within the context of the cultural environment, and further specifies the marketing mix and the characteristics of cultural consumers. The practical part combines qualitative and quantitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews with the club’s representatives and a questionnaire survey among its visitors. The findings indicate that Lucerna Music Bar possesses a strong historical brand, yet there is room for more targeted communication with its primary defined audience. Additionally, innovation of certain components of the marketing mix would be beneficial. Based on the collected data, the final section of the thesis presents specific recommendations for further development of the club’s marketing strategy.Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu současné marketingové strategie hudebního klubu Lucerna Music Bar a její efektivitu vůči cílové skupině návštěvníků. Cílem práce je zhodnotit stávající marketingové aktivity klubu a navrhnout doporučení pro jejich optimalizaci. Teoretická část definuje klíčové marketingové pojmy v kontextu kulturního prostředí. Specifikuje také marketingový mix a charakteristiky spotřebitelů kultury. Praktická část kombinuje kvalitativní a kvantitativní výzkumné metody. Jsou jimi polostrukturované rozhovory s představiteli klubu a dotazníkové šetření mezi jeho návštěvníky. Výsledky ukazují, že Lucerna Music Bar disponuje silnou historickou značkou, ale zároveň existuje prostor pro cílenější komunikaci s jeho hlavním definovaným publikem. Vhodné by bylo také přistoupit k inovaci některých složek marketingového mixu. Na základě získaných dat jsou v závěru práce formulována konkrétní doporučení pro další rozvoj marketingové strategie klubu
Socially pathological behavior in organizations -The impact of bullying in schools
No full textTato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou školní šikany a jejím dopadem na psychickou pohodu a školní výkonnost žáků s odlišným kulturním a jazykovým zázemím. Cílem výzkumu je hloubkově porozumět tomu, jak se šikana projevuje ve školním prostředí u žáků různého kulturního, jazykového a sociálního zázemí, jaký má dopad na jejich psychickou pohodu, školní výkon a míru sociální integrace, a jakou roli v procesu zvládání sehrávají škola, učitelé a rodina. Práce si klade za cíl také identifikovat silné a slabé stránky současného systému prevence a intervence šikany. Empirická část práce je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu, konkrétně na polostrukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorech s jedenácti respondenty ve věku 11 až 18 let, pocházejícími z Ukrajiny, Vietnamu a České republiky. Rozhovory probíhaly online a byly vedeny citlivým způsobem s důrazem na psychickou bezpečnost účastníků. Tematická analýza získaných dat odhalila specifické formy šikany, s nimiž se děti potýkají, a zároveň poukázala na hlubší emoční, sociální a studijní dopady těchto zkušeností. Významnou roli ve zvládání šikany hraje podpora ze strany rodiny, vrstevníků a učitelů, stejně jako školní klima a postoje pedagogického sboru. Práce dále analyzuje nedostatky současných preventivních a intervenčních strategií a navrhuje konkrétní opatření zaměřená na posílení inkluze, well-beingu žáků a včasné rozpoznání šikanózního chování.This diploma thesis addresses the issue of school bullying and its impact on the psychological well-being and academic performance of students with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The aim of the research is to gain a deep understanding of how bullying manifests in the school environment among students from various cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds, how it affects their mental health, school performance, and level of social integration, and what role schools, teachers, and families play in the coping process. The work also seeks to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current system of bullying prevention and intervention. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research, specifically semi-structured in-depth interviewsconducted with eleven respondents aged 11 to 18, originating from Ukraine, Vietnam, and the Czech Republic. The interviews were conducted online and carried out with sensitivity, emphasizing the psychological safety of the participants. Thematic analysis of the collected data revealed specific forms of bullying experienced by children and highlighted the deeper emotional, social, and academic impacts of these experiences. Support from family, peers, and teachers plays a crucial role in coping with bullying, as do the overall school climate and the attitudes of the teaching staff. The thesis also analyzes shortcomings in current preventive and intervention strategies and proposes concrete measures aimed at strengthening inclusion, student well-being, and the early detection of bullying behavior
Optimization of the Tour de France route itinerary
No full textThis bachelor's thesis focuses on optimizing transfer distances between stages of the Tour de France cycling race. To address this problem, a modified traveling salesman problem is used, providing a suitable methodological framework for finding an efficient stage sequence. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the traveling salesman problem in the context of graph theory, describes its variations, and analyzes solution methods. The practical part applies these insights to real Tour de France data to propose an optimal stage arrangement that minimizes transfer distances between consecutive stages. The results are then compared to the actual race itinerary, and the strengths and weaknesses of both exact and heuristic approaches are discussed.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá optimalizací přejezdových vzdáleností mezi etapami cyklistického závodu Tour de France. K řešení tohoto problému je využita modifikovaná úloha obchodního cestujícího, která poskytuje vhodný metodický rámec pro nalezení efektivního pořadí etap. V teoretické části práce je úloha obchodního cestujícího uvedena v kontextu teorie grafů, jsou popsány její varianty a analyzovány metody řešení. Praktická část aplikuje tyto poznatky na reálná data z Tour de France. Cílem je navrhnout optimální uspořádání etap z hlediska minimalizace přejezdových vzdáleností mezi po sobě následujícími etapami. Výsledky jsou následně porovnány se skutečným itinerářem závodu a jsou diskutovány silné a slabé stránky exaktních i heuristických přístupů
Mindfulness in the corporate environment

The main objective is to examine how mindfulness can contribute to improving team collaboration, reducing stress, and enhancing employee well-being. The theoretical part summarizes key insights from the fields of individual and team mindfulness, including the psychological mechanisms that influence work performance and interpersonal relationships. The practical part focuses on a case study conducted in the company Rohlík.cz, where the level of team mindfulness was measured in a managerial team responsible for coordinating courier operations, using the Team Mindfulness Scale (TMS). The results suggest that even in the context of daily business operations, mindfulness principles can serve as an effective tool for fostering team alignment, open communication, and better stress management. The thesis also provides recommendations for implementing mindfulness-based practices in organizational settingsTato diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem mindfulness a jeho uplatněním v prostředí firemní praxe. Cílem je prozkoumat, jak může mindfulness přispět ke zlepšení týmové spolupráce, snižování stresu a zvyšování psychické pohody zaměstnanců. Teoretická část práce shrnuje klíčové poznatky z oblasti individuální a týmové mindfulness, včetně psychologických mechanismů, které ovlivňují pracovní výkon a interpersonální vztahy. The impact of social benefit taxation on public finance indicators
No full textThe thesis assesses the situation of social benefit taxation in the EU and analyses its impact on selected public finance indicators within the EU countries in 2019 and 2022. The aim of the thesis is to identify how social benefit taxation affects indicators such as the tax quota and the volume of social. Through regression analysis, the thesis examines the relationship between social benefit taxation and selected macroeconomic indicators, with results confirming a statistically significant effect of benefit taxation on the overall tax quota and the volume of social transfers. Based on the analysis, the thesis concludes that countries that tax social benefits tend to have a higher tax quota while spending a relatively higher share of social benefits in GDP.Diplomová práce hodnotí situaci zdanění sociálních dávek v EU a analyzuje jeho vliv na vybrané ukazatele veřejných financí v rámci zemí Evropské unie v letech 2019 a 2022. Cílem práce je identifikovat, jakým způsobem ovlivňuje zdanění sociálních dávek ukazatele, jako jsou daňová kvóta a objem sociálních dávek. Prostřednictvím regresní analýzy práce zkoumá vztah mezi zdaněním sociálních dávek a vybranými makroekonomickými ukazateli, přičemž výsledky potvrzují statisticky významný vliv zdanění dávek na celkovou výši daňové kvóty a objem sociálních dávek. Na základě provedené analýzy práce dospívá k závěru, že státy, které sociální dávky zdaňují, vykazují zpravidla vyšší daňovou kvótu a zároveň mají relativně vyšší podíl sociálních dávek na HDP
The impact of the corporate income tax rate on investment
No full textThis diploma thesis analyzes the impact of the effective corporate income tax rate on inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) in selected EU member states during the period 2002–2021. Using an econometric panel regression model, both tax-related and selected macroeconomic factors influencing foreign investors’ decisions are examined. The main objective of the thesis is to verify whether effective tax burdens negatively affect the volume of received FDI. The results confirm that a higher effective tax rate has a statistically significant negative effect on FDI inflows. Other variables, such as GDP per capita and the unemployment rate, did not prove to be significant. The thesis provides relevant conclusions for tax policy formulation in the European context and offers recommendations for future research.Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu efektivní sazby daně z příjmů právnických osob na přítoky přímých zahraničních investic (FDI) ve vybraných členských státech Evropské unie v letech 2002–2021. Pomocí ekonometrického modelu panelové regrese jsou zkoumány daňové i vybrané makroekonomické faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat rozhodování zahraničních investorů. Hlavním cílem práce je ověřit, zda efektivní daňové zatížení negativně působí na objem přijatých FDI. Výsledky analýzy potvrzují, že vyšší efektivní sazba daně má statisticky významný negativní vliv na příliv FDI. Ostatní proměnné, jako je HDP na obyvatele a míra nezaměstnanosti, se neprojevily jako významné. Práce přináší relevantní závěry pro tvorbu daňové politiky v evropském kontextu a doporučuje směřování budoucího výzkumu
Sociální výdaje a jejich dopad na ekonomickou aktivitu v Evropě
No full textThis thesis investigates the relationship between government social spending and economic performance, measured by GDP per capita, across European countries from 2002 to 2022. Using Eurostat data and first differences panel regression models, the study finds a strong, statistically significant positive relationship, with each euro of per capita social spending associated with a GDP increase of approximately 2.94 €. Before excluding or accounting for outliers (Ireland and Norway), the effect was even higher at 3.42 €. Grounded in Keynesian economic theory, and supported by existing literature, the findings suggest that social spending contributes meaningfully to economic growth in institutionally stable contexts. The study highlights limitations including the use of annual data, the exclusion of dynamic models, and the absence of disaggregated spending categories, offering clear directions for future research.Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vztah mezi vládními výdaji na sociální zabezpečení a ekonomickou výkonností, která je vyjádřena skrze HDP na obyvatele, napříč evropskými zeměmi v období let 2002 až 2022. Pomocí dat z Eurostatu a panelové regresní analýzy s diferencí, studie odhaluje silný, statisticky významný pozitivní vztah – každé euro sociálních výdajů na obyvatele je spojeno s růstem HDP přibližně o 2.94 €. Před vyloučením či ošetřením extrémních případů (Irsko, Norsko) efekt dále roste na 3,42 €. Výsledky vycházejí z keynesiánské ekonomické teorie a jsou podpořeny existující odbornou literaturou, přičemž naznačují, že sociální výdaje mohou významně přispívat k ekonomickému růstu v institucionálně stabilních zemích. Práce rovněž upozorňuje na určitá omezení – využití ročních dat, vyloučení dynamických modelů a rozlišení jednotlivých kategorií sociálních výdajů, a také nabízí doporučení dalšího výzkumu
Factors Influencing Career Decision-Making of Students at the Prague University of Economics and Business
No full textTato diplomová práce se zabývá kariérním rozhodováním studentů, konkrétně pak studentů Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze. Hlavním cílem bylo prozkoumat, jakým způsobem se studenti rozhodují o své profesní kariéře. Dílčím cílem pak bylo identifikovat ty nejdůležitější faktory ovlivňující kariérní rozhodování těchto studentů. Výzkum byl realizován pomocí kvalitativní metody focus group, které se zúčastnilo 54 studentů zapsaných do předmětu 3PS325 Rozvoj profesní kariéry na Vysoké škole ekonomické. Data byla analyzována pomocí tématické analýzy. Výsledky ukázaly, že kariérní rozhodování je komplexní proces a že mezi hlavní faktory, které kariérní rozhodování ovlivňuje, patří finanční ohodnocení, osobnost studenta, jeho osobní hodnoty, náplň práce a vliv sociálního okolí, kde hrají roli především rodinní příslušníci. Získaná zjistění přispívají k hlubšímu porozumění kariérnímu rozhodování mladých lidí a mohou být použita ve vzdělávací praxi, ale také v personálním rozvoji a kariérním poradenství.This master’s thesis focuses on the career decision-making of students, specifically those studying at the Prague University of Economics and Business. The main objective was to explore how students make decisions regarding their professional careers. A secondary objective was to identify the most significant factors influencing their career choices. The research was conducted using a qualitative focus group method involving 54 students enrolled in the course 3PS325 Career Development at the Prague University of Economics and Business. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that career decision-making is a complex process and that the main influencing factors include financial compensation, the student’s personality, personal values, job content, and the influence of the social environment, especially family members. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of young people’s career decision-making and may be applied in educational practice, as well as in human resource development and career counseling

No full textThis bachelor thesis is focused the analysis of the gambling regulation system in the Czech Republic. The center of attention - its impact on casino operations. The aim of my research is to identify how national legislation, as well as tax and licensing regulations, shape the structure and behavior of the gambling market in the Czech Republic. The thesis contains a legal analysis, interpretation of economic data and a comparative overview with neighboring countries in Central Europe. It also presents a SWOT analysis of the Czech gambling industry and discusses the opportunities and challenges faced by Czech and foreign operators under the current regulatory framework. The results show that strict measures place a significant burden on operators and reduce investment attractiveness, while contributing to player protection and market transparency.Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu systému regulace hazardních her v České republice. Pozornost je zaměřena na jeho dopad na provoz kasin. Cílem mého výzkumu je identifikovat, jak národní legislativa, daňové a licenční předpisy formují strukturu a chování trhu hazardních her v České republice. Práce obsahuje právní analýzu, interpretaci ekonomických údajů a srovnávací přehled se sousedními zeměmi ve střední Evropě. Představuje také SWOT analýzu českého hazardního průmyslu a diskutuje příležitosti a výzvy, kterým čelí čeští a zahraniční provozovatelé v rámci současného regulačního rámce. Výsledky ukazují, že přísná opatření představují pro provozovatele značnou zátěž a snižují atraktivitu investic, zároveň však přispívají k ochraně hráčů a transparentnosti trhu
Analysis and comparison of current frontend technologies for web application development
No full textThe aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a set of recommendations for choosing the right frontend framework based on an analysis of the currently most used frontend technologies. The analysis will be divided into three categories - user-friendliness, developer experience, and a business viewpoint. The thesis defines basic concepts related to frontend web development and outlines key criteria along with their weight for the optimal selection of a technology stack based on project needs. Research, comparative analysis and testing of these technologies will be conducted, resulting in a comparison of the most widely used ones. The thesis will also include a set of recommendations that can help web developers and project managers in this field to make the right technology choices when planning the development of a new web application.Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit seznam doporučení pro výběr vhodného frontendového frameworku na základě analýzy nejpoužívanějších současných frontendových technologií podle předem definovaných kritérií. Tato kritéria zahrnují uživatelskou přívětivost, perspektivu vývojáře a byznysový pohled. Práce definuje základní pojmy spojené s frontendovým vývojem webových aplikací a vymezí klíčová kritéria a jejich váhu pro optimální výběr technologického stacku dle potřeb projektu. Výsledkem rešerše a komparativní analýzy je seznam porovnání s těmi aktuálně nejpoužívanějšími. Výstupem této práce je doporučení, které může pomoci webovým vývojářům a vedoucím projektů v této oblasti se správným výběrem technologií při plánování vývoje nové webové aplikace
