From information privacy to emergency privacy
If before the creation and dissemination of computers made it possible to collect, organise and transmit an indistinct series of personal information, the right to privacy was linked to the concept of private property and the means for its protection and then, in a social dimension, came to coincide with the individual’s ability to control the circulation of information relating to him – a power that often is essential to maintaining social relationship and personal freedom, With the development of technologies and the use of personal data processing, as well as the possibility of their exchange and aggregation through the Internet and the creation of databases, the needs have evolved (and are evolving) even more significantly towards a collective dimension of information privacy. The innate mutability of the concept of privacy as a concept which is strongly affected by social, cultural and technological changes, pushes, in this way, to prepare a cautious legal schematization of the institution also in light of the emergency situation generated by the diffusion of the COVID-19. It is necessary, therefore, to ask whether the existing legislation can be considered sufficiently malleable to the changed framework of protection of personal data or whether the solutions adopted can be considered legitimate and proportionally oriented to respect the new “emergency privacy”
Smart toys and minors’ protection in the context of the Internet of Everything
Smart toys are devices with the appearance of traditional children’s toys (e.g. dolls or cuddly toys) but they are capable of interacting with the surrounding environment, connecting to the Internet and using technological systems. They are robots, characterized by a more or less developed level of automation, to the point that the most recent models of connected toys are equipped with artificial intelligence. Although smart toys are fun and sometimes even educational games, they are still tools that collect, process and communicate data, with possible risks, especially for minors. Indeed, first of all it is very concrete and serious the risk of unlawful processing of minors’ personal data, but also the risk of hacker attacks, issues related to possible emotional bonds between the minor and the toy, as well as psychical manipulation. This paper will deepen the concept of smart toys, starting from the characteristics and the technical aspects and then moving on to the analysis of their possibilities and risks, in order to identify the possible legal remedies to be foreseen for protecting minors
A garden of forking paths: the several and multifaceted perspectives in the relationship between privacy and technical enablers
As in the short story written by Jorge Louis Borges “The Garden of Forking Paths”, the multifaceted combinations between privacy and technological evolution display in front of us a multifaceted landscape, and uncountable set of links among data, technologies and privacy are echoing continuously several alternatives. Moving from this emblematic metaphor of current scenario, this paper intends to overview the strongest implications in terms of privacy induced by raising of big data related technologies, internet of things and blockchain
Genere e educazione. Percorsi di resilienza tra emancipazione e violenza
The women’s movements of the 1960s and 1970s allowed the traditional models of women’s education and family and social education, identified as sexist, to be questioned. Over time they have always aimed at building a unique sexuality, declined to the masculine, a legacy of a misogynistic and patriarchal culture. Women’s emancipation and the conquest of rights by women have inversely produced, within society, an escalation in the exercise of male domination which still today leads to an increase in episodes of violence against wives, partners and girlfriends. Starting from a historical reconstruction of the changes that have affected women and their processes of formation and entry into the job market, we have gone in search of some of the underlying causes of gender-based violence. The pedagogical Abstracts 195 reflection on gender has defined trajectories that from the search for equality between the sexes, come to the birth of the “thought of difference”, understood as the discovery of otherness and as the valorization of gender, emotional, value, ethnic and cultural diversity. This recognition translates into the need to address gender education to the younger generations both in schools and in universities, in order to promote a critical deconstruction of the conditioning of gender to which we are daily subjected.
Minors and new technologies: From parental responsibility to parental control in balancing with the child’s right to personality
This article deepens the relationship between minors and new technologies. The legislation of reference is preliminarily represented by the main international charts on the protection of minors, to which are added the most recent rules on the data protection as well as the rules of the civil code. In particular, it is examined the issue of parental control and whether this technological control falls within the broader concept of parental responsibility and in the parental supervision obligation sanctioned by article 2048 of the Civil Code. At the same time, it is examined the right to the online personality of the child, which emerges even more in the current historical context, in which the age of Internet access is always lower and lower. This is also seen in the light of the recent European regulation on the data protection which has recognized the consent given by a child of at least 16 years. Finally, it is dealt the system of negotiation deeds concluded by the child with through the use of the technological tool

IMMUNI: INQUADRAMENTO E PRIME CONSIDERAZIONI AD UN MESE DAL VIA- IMMUNI: FRAMING AND FIRST CONSIDERATIONS ONE MONTH FROM THE START
The adoption of Immuni by the Italian government, as an active tool in the fight against the spread of Covid - 19, has raised, and still raises, several concerns, primarly regarding the protection of privacy and fundamentals freedoms. A month after the launch of the application in the app stores, these fears seems to be mirrored in the determination of Italian citizens to download the app. The flaws of a not yet run-in system emerge, leaving room for reflective ideas on the need to make corrections capable of making this system more efficient and worthy of trust
PIANIFICARE NELL’INCERTEZZA: FORME DI RAZIONALITÀ E FORME DI VITA / TO PLAN IN UNCERTAINTY: RATIONALITY FORMS AND LIFE FORMS
The text discusses different perspectives on the theme of planning and programming of action and public investment in the context of the pandemic, with particular reference to the field of urban and territorial policies. The phase in which the pandemic has spread is characterized by a radical and ontological uncertainty, in which anthropological, demographic and technological changes are intertwined with the crisis of the possibilities of insuring against risk. On the other hand, the effects of the pandemic have also highlighted the centrality of the public hand in addressing global conditions of crisis, in the face of the evident inability of financially driven globalized capitalism to deal with problems of this nature. In this context, the article shows the inadequacy of top-down and comprehensive planning models, but also the risks associated with an emergency and technocratic approach. Resuming critically the notion of preparedness, the author proposes an idea of incremental, possibilistic, experimental, open and contextual planning and programming, strongly intertwined with different forms of life and capable of assuming the plural nature of interests and volitions. Finally, the article proposes some principles for action useful for outlining an approach that is both pragmatic and possibilist to planning and programming. Keywords:Uncertainty, Planning, Preparednes
COVID-19 AND THE LIVE MUSIC SECTOR. Coping Strategies and Forgotten Professions
The social and economic consequences of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic will only be assessable in the long term. The cultural sector and the live entertainment sector, in particular, suffered a dramatic downturn. Concerts, theatre shows and all other forms of public artistic gatherings were among the first activities to be stopped. This caused, on one hand, the rarefaction of new cultural products and experiences in our lives and, on the other hand, massive losses to art organizations, companies, venues and all workers involved including technicians, logistics and artists.Drawing on documentary and ethnographic research in the music sector, this paper presents and discusses, on one hand, the strategies that have emerged to cope with restrictions and keep on providing cultural goods to the community. On the other hands, it shows the many gaps and problems affecting a largely deregulated, economically polarized and precarious professional sector.Keywords:COVID-19, Live Music Secto
