    Echocardiographic Morphological Classification of Aortic Stenosis in Sulaimani Pediatric Teaching Hospital/Kurdistan/Iraq

    Aortic stenosis occurs when the heart's aortic valve narrows. This narrowing prevents the valve from opening fully, which obstructs blood flow from the heart into the aorta and onward to the rest of the body. The aim of the study was to performed the echocardiographic study of the major morphological types of aortic valve stenosis in the pediatric cardiac unit in suliamani. A retrospective study including 127 patients aged from birth to 14 years done in the cardiac unit / Sulaimani pediatric teaching hospital. The data were collected from the recorded files of the patients examined in that unit during the period from 2006 to 2016.Collected data included name, age, sex, residency, consanguinity, clinical presentation, associated syndromes and Echo findings.  Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 21. Chi-square test was used to find out the correlation between categorical variables, P value of (? 0.05) was regarded significant. Overall, 80 were males (63%) and 47 were females (37%). Forty patients (31.5%) were below one year. The valvular type found in 96 cases (75.6%). subvalvular and supravalvular types found in 22 cases (17.3%), 9 cases (7.1%) respectively. We found 91 cases (94.8%) of bicuspid, 3 cases (3.1) of tricuspid and 2 cases (2.1%) of the unicuspid valve. In subvalvular type we found 14 cases (63.6%) of sub aortic ridge, 5 cases (22.7%) of tunnel type and 3 cases (13.6%) of systolic anterior motion. In supravalvular type we had 7 cases (77.8%) of hourglass and 2 cases (22.2%) of the long segment. Aortic regurgitation was the most common associated cardiac defect. There was a significant association between the types of aortic stenosis and the mild grade of AR; P value <0.05. In conclusion the valvular aortic stenosis was the most common type of aortic stenosis in this study. Bicuspid aortic valve found to be the most common congenital anomaly associated with aortic stenosis. Most of the patients with aortic stenosis were discovered to have an accidental murmur

    Association Between Work-Relate Musculoskeletal Disorder and Ergonomic Risk Factors Among Nursing Professionals in Ranya and Qaladiza Districts

    Work related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) represent one of the leading causes of occupational injury and disability among the professional nursing, due to the number and variety of risk factors associated with the work environment. This study was carried out to determine the prevalence of work related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) and its association with ergonomic risk factors. A self-administered questionnaire and observational method was used to collect information from 420 individuals and then the data were computerized and analyzed by using SPSS version 21. The overall prevalence of WRMSDs among Ranya and Qaladiza districts nurses was 74%. The neck pain was the most prevalent site of WRMSDs (48.4%) compared to other body parts. Logistic regression analysis indicated that significant risk factors for WRMSDs symptoms were older nurses aged >39.5 years old (OR=3.076, 95% CI: 1.200, 7.884), medium RULA risk level (OR= 255.096, 95% CI: 24.078, 2702.681), very high RULA risk level (OR=151.675, 95% CI: 17.536, 1311.891), low RULA risk level (OR=9.277, 95% CI: 1.064, 80.893). Prevention strategies and health education which emphasizes on psychosocial risk factors and how to improve working conditions should be introduced

    Modified WiFi-RSS Fingerprint Technique to locate Indoors-Smartphones: FENG building at Koya University as a case study

    Positioning system used for different purposes and different services, many researches are going on to find a more accurate position with low error within high performance. There are many localization solutions with different architectures, configurations, accuracies and reliabilities for both outdoors and indoors. For example, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology has been used for outdoors.  Global Positioning System (GPS) is one of the most common outdoors tracking solutions in the world, for outdoors, however, when indoors; it could not be accurately tracked users by using a GPS system. This is because, when users enters into indoors the GPS signals will no longer available due to blocked by the roof of buildings and it is no longer considered as a viable option.  WiFi Positioning System (WPS) can be used as an alternative solution to define users’ position, especially when GPS signal is not available. Further, WPS is a low cost solution, because there is no need to deploying WiFi Access Points (WAPs) in the vicinity, as they are installed to access the Internet. In this paper, specifically, WiFi-RSS Fingerprinting technique is used to locate smartphones using WAPs signals with a modified calculation. The new modified calculation is to dynamic weighting of the WAPs RSS values based on the real-live indoors structure. The achieved positioning accuracy, based on several trial experiments, is up to 6 meters via the implemented algorithm in the MALTAB

    Training Robot Arm 5 Degree of Freedom for Tracking the desired route using MLP

    This paper work presents a new method of controlling the robot arm. The control system is the most important part of industrial robot. In industrial robot arms, it is very important to control the desired path and direction. In this paper, the presented control method is a multilayer neural network. Which controls and compares the location of the joins at the end point of the path relative to the zero position (the beginning of the path-static state). And try to learn the ultimate position of each joints due to changes in angles and direction of movement to carry out the motion process. The superiority of this method is that it can operate without considering 3D space (working space), the dynamic equations, and have Cartesian coordinates of the points on the desired path. Innovating this method of controlling the choice of the route is based on feedback from the vision system and human intelligence. This way, the operator selects and applies how to move the joints and the links of the robot and the method of walking the path. Applying the path through the movement of links and motion of joints and changing their angles in order to reach the end effector to the end point of the path. In this system, using the potentiometers (volumes) as an encoder connected to the axis of the joints, it is possible to obtain the location of the joints on the basis of variations in the voltage range and convert it to the equivalent digital 1024-0 values as has been used the MLP neural network input

    Stratospheric Winds and Rain Effect on HAPS Backhaul Link Performance

    today, fourth generation of mobile communication turn out to be in active mode for several countries and one of the most promisingtechnologies used for a backhaul service is High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS). While HAPS still suffers from environment effects in stratospheric layer like rain and winds.In this research paper, a study of the effect of the positional instability of HAPS (aircraft category) on the link level performance of an International Mobile Telecommunications Advanced (IMT-Advanced) served by HAPS is presented. The analysis is performed in three different climatic conditions of Malaysia, which is a tropical country. Then two types of radio links have been analyzed – firstly, the end user link which connects aerial station and end user and then, backhaul link that establishes communication between HAPS and Ground Transmission Gateway (GTG). A Problem of fluctuations in the signal level and degrading the performance level had been solved by analyze the behavior of winds in stratospheric layer. Finally, the effect of instability was given in received signal level variation and link availability or percentage outage of the link. Obtained results showed that the link availability of the backhaul link meets the ITU-R recommendations. Lately, it can be said that the results of the service obtained can be used to design the communication network with a higher level of user satisfaction

    Natural fibers have recently become attractive to researchers due to their low cost, fairly good mechanical properties, high specific strength, non-abrasive, eco-friendly, bio-degradability and biocompatibility  characteristics, they are exploited as a replacement for the conventional fibers, such as glass, aramid and carbon. This study investigated the influence of fiber length and weight fraction of natural siwak fiber, with the selected length of (2, 6 and 12 mm) and weight fraction (3, 6 and 9 wt %), on some of mechanical and physical properties such as (tensile, impact and hardness), in addition to test the infrared spectroscopy FTIR of the prepared denture base resin and all of these tests were carried out at laboratory temperature.The properties of PMMA reinforced by natural fiber are mainly affected by the interfacial adhesion strength between the matrix and the fiber, and in order to improve interconnection between the siwak fiber and PMMA matrix, so the siwak fibers were treated with alkali (sodium hydroxide) solution prior to use as reinforcement materials. The results illustrated that the tensile strength, young modulus, fracture toughness and hardness tended to be improved with length and concentration ratios of siwak fiber, while the impact strength and elongation percentage at break decrease with fiber content in composite samples

    The Influence of Annealing Temperature and Soaking Time on the Ductility of SG 255

    This study deals with the effect of annealing temperature on the mechanical properties of SG 255 steel. Furthermore it aims to experimentally obtain better mechanical properties in particular ductility with lower annealing temperature and to minimize the cost of the manufacturing. The SG 255 steel is used in manufacturing of domestic LPG cylinder at Halala Company located in Sulaimanyah/Iraq. A number of samples were made according to ISO 6892, and then heat treated with different annealing temperature (850, 900 and 950 ºC). Moreover, the mentioned samples were broken by tensile machine to obtain the required mechanical properties, and to be compared with that of Halala factory. It was shown that higher elongation percentage 34.18%El with lower annealing temperature 900 ºC can be achieved and this leads to decrease the cost of manufacturing without degrading of cylinder’s quality

    The causes of early neonatal death in Sulaimani Intensive Care Unite at Maternity Teaching Hospital between Jan 2016 - Feb 2017

    Early neonatal death refers to all deaths of liveborn infants occurring on or before the first seven days of life. There is a shortage of research on the specific causes of early neonatal death. This study has been conducted in order to assess causes of early neonatal death in Sulaimani's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Maternity Teaching Hospital. Information was obtained retrospectively from the patients’ medical records, including (Mother and neonate socio-demographic, Maternal, Fetal and labor causes of death). Generally, this study found that in 2016 out of total 18.573 recorded delivery, 168 early neonatal deaths were analyzed from January 2016 to February 2017. However, this number was declined in comparison to the data of 2015, which estimated around 244 early deaths out of 21.142 total births. The mean age of mothers was ranged (28.22 ±7.69), 73.2% of neonate mothers were multi gravid with 67.3% of them delivered through normal vaginal, The majority of early neonate death was happening in the mean expected date delivery of (28.64 ± 2.90) weeks, with  mostly weighing  700- 1.10 gm.  Regarding the maternal causes, more than a quarter of the mother had Preeclamptic toxemia followed by (25% antepartum hemorrhage, 22.6% diabetes, respectively), In terms of the fetal causes, more than three-quarter of neonate  were dead because of prematurity and the majority 85.2% were deceased because of the respiratory distress syndrome. Almost no labor causes. The study also found that there is a significant association between gravidity, mode of delivery and maternal cause in p value < 0.05. However, that relationship was not found to fetal cause. Moreover, there is also no significant relationship between fetal cause and (Age of mother, Expected date delivery and fetal weight) in p-value > 0.05 accept the gender of the neonate. In conclusion, some factors affecting early neonatal death have been identified in this study special care is essential for these children in order to reduce their mortality rates

    Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Health Care Workers in Sulaimani Health Facilities in Relation to Medical Waste Management

    Medical waste management is of crucial importance in health care facilities (HCF). In the present study, we assessed the knowledge, attitude and practices of medical waste management in an HCF of Sulaimani city, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Using a self-administered questionnaire, we collected information on waste management practices from health care professionals (HCP) in 14 public and private hospitals and 10 primary health care centers of the city. Based on answers, total knowledge score on a 10-point scale was established. A total of 406 HCPs (of those, 261 women), average age 37.3 (SD ± 9.4) years participated. Just 20.3% have been trained on medical waste management. The total knowledge score ranged from 0 to 9 with a mean of 4.7 (SD ± 1.8).  Factors which were significantly associated with the better knowledge score was male gender, having a high educational degree, being trained in waste management and has been in service for more than 5 years. 68% of HCPs followed the color coding system, 91% always/frequently disposed used sharps/needles to safety boxes, 79% always or frequently recapped needles, 49% reported experiencing at least one needle prick injury during their work but only 37% of them had reported the injury to a supervisor and only 4% of those injured had filled an injury form. There is a low average level of knowledge and the unsafe risky practices are quite prevalent in HCFs. Provision of appropriate training on dealing with medical waste is essential to promote safe practices among HCFs

In this concern, we have to define solutions which are two known concepts optimal or near optimal optimization problems in regards to some objects. Usually, it is surely difficult to sort problems out in only one step, but some processes can be followed by us which people usually call it problem solving. Frequently, the solution process is split into various steps which are accomplishing one after the other. Therefore, in this paper we consider some algorithms that help us to sort out problems, for exemplify, finding the shortest path, minimum spanning tree, maximum network flows and maximum matching. More importantly, the algorithm comparison will be presented. Additionally, the limitation of each algorithm. The last but not the least, the future research in this area will be approached
