Evaluation of suspended veneer façade criteria at the construction stage
Construction uses different innovative solutions and advanced technologies to increase effectiveness, safety assessment, site preparation, logistic, save resources, reduce waste and reworks. One of the ways to find the best solution is introducing specific problem-based evaluation criteria and applying complex multi-criteria evaluation systems. The aim of the current research is to develop a multifaceted criteria system for evaluation of suspended veneer façade installation solutions by increasing effectiveness according to sustainability at the construction stage, including expert survey and determining relative significance (weights) of criteria. The authors suggested three groups of criteria, evaluating preparation for construction, installation and the result, each group consisting of eight criteria. Some criteria were analyzed together with the future application of decision system tools and building information modelling (BIM) for information management and data analysis. The determined criteria weights will be applied in ranking of alternative suspended veneer façade solutions by using multiple criteria decision-making methods
The impact of incentives and IoT integration on young consumers’ adoption of pay-per-wash services: a behavioral analysis
This study explores pay-per-wash (PPW) services, focusing on young consumers drawing from a dataset of 457 responses collected from Germany and the Czech Republic. Utilizing gender and living conditions as segmentation criteria, the research uncovers both shared and distinct preferences among this demographic. Key findings highlight a universal appeal for Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled features, as well as the significance of both monetary and nonmonetary incentives in driving PPW service adoption. Notably, females demontrate a stronger preference for timely operations, complimentary detergents, and eco-friendly solutions. However, while providing valuable insights, the research acknowledges limitations, such as potential segmentation oversights and an exclusive focus on a specific age bracket. Moreover, the study validates three hypotheses regarding the positive impact of IoT features, optimized washing settings, and sustainable behavior on young consumers’ inclination toward the PPW model. By offering a roadmap for PPW services, the research emphasizes the importance of adopting a balanced marketing approach that considers both universal and gender-specific preferences.Taip / Yes

Application and comparison of technologies based on agglomeration processes
Aplinkos oro kokybė yra laikoma vienu iš tvarios gyvensenos rodiklių. Kietosioms dalelėms šalinti plačiai taikomos tradicinės valymo technologijos, pagrįstos gravitaciniu, išcentriniu, elektrostatiniu ir kitais veikimo principais. Šios technologijos nėra efektyvios šalinant žmogui žalingas, ultrasmulkias, iki 1 μm, kietąsias daleles iš dujų srauto. Tokio tipo kenksmingus žmogui ir aplinkai smulkiųjų dalelių teršalus galima paveikti akustine ar elektros lauko aglomeracija. Vykstant aglomeracijai smulkios dalelės susijungia į didesnę, vientisą dalelę, kurią galima efektyviai nusodinti ir (arba) pašalinti iš dujų srauto tradicinėmis valymo technologijomis. Įvairiose pramonės šakose taikoma aglomeracija gali paversti dulkių frakcijas arba sunkiai apdorojamas medžiagas lengviau valdoma forma. Darbe analizuojamos aktualios, kenksmingiausios žmogui kietosios dalelės, kurių dydis yra nuo 2 μm iki 10 μm, taip pat įvairių aglomeracijos tipų taikymo būdai, kuriais apdorojamas pirminis dujų srautas prieš valymą paveikiant dujų sraute esančias smulkiąsias daleles. Remiantis pasauline literatūra buvo aptartos įvairių tipų aglomeracijos technologijos.Ambient air quality is considered one of the indicators of a sustainable lifestyle. However, traditional cleaning technologies based on gravitational, centrifugal, electrostatic, and other operating principles are ineffective in removing ultrafine solid particles (up to 1 μm) harmful to humans from the gas flow. These fine particle pollutants, which are harmful to both humans and the environment, can be addressed through acoustic or electric field agglomeration. During agglomeration, fine particles combine into larger, single particles that can be effectively filtered by traditional cleaning technologies. Agglomeration is used in various industries to transform dust fractions or difficult-to-process materials into a more manageable form. The work analyzes the most harmful solid particles with sizes ranging from 200 nm to 10 μm. It also explores various ways of using agglomeration techniques to treat the primary gas stream before cleaning, thereby affecting the fine particles in the gas stream. Based on world literature, selected acoustic and electric field agglomeration technologies are discussed.Taip / Ye
The concept and development of the circular economy
The current setting of the society on a linear economy is proving to be unsustainable in the long term. The solution to the situation is the circular economy [CE]. The concept of CE has garnered attention not only in the public sector but also in the business environment and academic research in recent decades. It is young concept, what is reflected in its unclear theoretical foundations and the fact that the literature on this topic is not sufficiently explored. Understanding these theoretical foundations is crucial for shaping the concept of CE and its application in practice, as well as for combating negative phenomena such as greenwashing. This paper focuses on identifying key themes related to the theory of CE, including the definition of CE, scientific literature, the historical development of CE, theoretical framework, implementation forms of CE, and the R principles. Analysis of these themes provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge in the field of CE and serves as a basis for further research and discussions in this area.Taip / Yes
