Wortbildung der deutschen Nomina instrumenti und ihre Äquivalente im Polnischen
The article presents results of confrontation of nouns in the German language included in the semantic class defined by the term "nomina instrumenti" with their Polish equivalents. On the basis of analysis of word formation structure the author performed a unilateral type of confrontation and the point of departure was the German language. Its foundation was the vocabulary taken from E. Mater\u27s index a tergo “Rückläufiges Wörterbuch der deutschen Gegenwartssprache” and Polish equivalents were taken from “The Great German-Polish Dictionary” and “Scientific-Technical Dictionary of German and Polish”. The confrontation of German "nomina instrumenti" and their Polish equivalents was carried out according to word formation types represented in German, i. e. derivation, compounds and compound-derivative formations. The unilateral character of confrontation does not allow for a comprehensive treatment of this problem which points to the necessity of bilateral analysis
Pressezensur in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts in Danzig
In Danzig the magazines had to fight hard to survive. The city was in a very bad economic condition in that period, and there was also a strong stagnation in the culture. According to them, the interests with the newspapers and magazines was very small at the beginning, the periodicals which were coming into being, were being closed very soon, the censors didn\u27t have much work to do, so that they even didn\u27t need special instructions at all. Just in the 20ties and 30ties there are more new magazines turning up and according to them troubles and conflicts with the censorship. The Danzig editors fighted for imprimatur, tried to smuggle into their magazines political opinions, critical comments, uncommon articles; the first discussions in the press turned up. As an answer to this the Danzig magazines and their editors learnt by experience every restriction of the Prussian censor: intervenses in the contents, confiscations, prohibitions, penalties, fines and imprisonment. Never the less they became during this process of the fightening against the censorship more mature in political meaning as well as in journalistic sense
,,Am besten ... Dichter und Arzt zusammen". Zu Elias Canettis therapeutischem Literaturverständnis
This essay is an attempt at a methodological rehabilitation of semiotically conceived biography of the writer which is very often received by the readers parallelly to the fundamental writings - more or less legible "text". In the case of Canetti the legibility of this "text" is magnified by the fact that the researcher has here at his disposal a thick. volume - author\u27s autobiography. The essay traces the sacramental formula quoted in the title and coming from the writer\u27s mother\u27s mouth, and as it appears this opinion was to shape a therapeutic vision of Canetti\u27s literature. Literature as a form of social therapy - at this point both Canetti\u27s "texts": the poetic and existential one converge

Die Auswirkungen der Kritik der reinen Vernunft von I. Kant auf die Sprachphilosophie
The aim of this article is to show the influence of I. Kant\u27s methodology on the development of modern philosophy of language. The author discusses the selected standpoints inspired in this respect by the Kantian "Copernican revolution" and apriorism. The starting point of considerations are W. v. Humboldt\u27s views for whom language is a spontaneous "emanation of spirit", the result of incessantly active internal powers of man. Humboldtism influenced a number of later conceptions. One of them is "generative grammar" of N. Chomsky\u27s American school, although there are also present in this case influences of nativistic interpretations. In a more distinct manner the Kantian-Humboldtian apriorism has influenced the "symbolic" philosophy of E. Cassirer and the linguistic "relativism" of E. Sapir, B. L. Whorf and L. Weisgerber. Their views are presented in the next part of the work. The article ends with the discussion of H. Glinz\u27s philosophical and linguistic views which are based in great measure also on the Kantian methodology
Historisches Sujet und aktuelle Bezüge. Zu Bertolt Brechts Erzählung „Die Trophäen des Lukullus“ (1939)
Stories of Bertolt Brecht written at the end of the 30\u27s deal with, among other things the problems of an intellectual who emigrated. It also concerns the story "Trophies of Lucculus" (1939). The Location of the meeting of Lucretius and Lucculus, after the former has already completed his conquests made it possible for the author to confront the character of wars of conquest with the vision-dream wish of peace, reconciliation of the fighting parties. The story contains also references to the contemporary (Munich 1938) situation just before the outbreak of the Second World War; the actual waiting of political parties in Rome (in connection with Lucculus\u27s attitude after his return from a victorious expedition which was difficult to predict) brings associations with the attitude of governments of a number of European states towards the Third Reich. The story is based in fact, on the checked facts (sources: Roman historians Theodor Mommsen), however, Brecht introduces everywhere the "fabricated" historical facts where he thinks it is necessary for the problems of the dialectics of "history". "Fabricated" is also the very meeting of Lucretius and Lucculus; a number of verses of the recited poem “On the nature of things” is by Brecht himself.

Das Herrscherlob als Beispiel für die Gelegenheitslyrik des ausgehenden 19. Jhs. in der Provinz Posen
In the years 1871-1918, on the territory of the Duchy of Poznan, there were published over 90 magazines and newspapers. Apart from the current articles also German prose and poetry were printed and they are the point of this article. 80% of poetry published in this press is so called „Heimatdichtung“, the rest is war lyric poetry, including poems worshipping then leaders and rulers of Germany. The typical feature for these poems is the false reality of literary communication which, in a way, reflects the „false historical reality“, that is the German presence in the Duchy of Poznan in 19th century
