Modified Vigenere Cryptosystem Using Matrix Manipulation and Base94 Encoding Scheme
Security in the field of Information Technology is the defense of digital information along with its assets against internal and/or external malicious and accidental threats. To secure such valuable information, cryptography is used. A cryptography or encryption algorithm is the process of transforming sensitive data into confounding data in such a way that the person or the machine with a key can decode the hidden information. Among these algorithms is the Vigenere matrix. In this article, a hybrid approach is used in the encryption algorithm. This approach implements the matrix manipulation principle and Base94 encoding algorithm. In order to measure the performance of the proposed algorithm, the Avalanche Effect is used. The result of the study shows a significant high avalanche effect compared to the traditional Vigenere cryptosystem
A Review on Technological Tools in Cosmetology Business
In the age of technology, people’s complex daily work seems to be easily done. Technology has become a tool for people from waking up in the morning, grooming, doing things all day, up to resting time in the evening. Simple things with a touch of technology might just go unnoticed sometimes, just like the technological tools used in the daily grooming of people. This paper discusses the history of cosmetology and the different technological tools used in this field. This study aims to provide literature for individuals who want to pursue a career in the cosmetology business.
QuickyPOS Software: A Systematic Point-of-Sale Development Approach
This paper deals with a systematic approach to the development of point-of-sale (POS) software referred to as QuickyPOS. It aims to alleviate day-to-day business transactions by providing tons of benefits. Transaction processes are automated to simplify operations, quicken payments, provide better management for customers, orders, purchasing, supplies, and inventory. The systematic approach for the QuickyPOS development is based on the five basic phases of systems development which are the requirements, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance phases. Business diagrams will be presented to show the systematic design of the features of the POS system
Graphical Block Structured Programming: A Visual Programming Paradigm
This paper discusses the concept and design of a graphical block-structured programming paradigm that presents a model for constructing computer programs using a set of graphical objects that resembles the existing lexical instructions in a C language. The design of the paradigm was motivated by the results from studies investigating the previous designs and the acquisition of existing visual programming languages. Studies showed that most people are having trouble expressing the structures that they cannot write or verbally describe due to their limited grasp of natural language. The aim of this proposed programming paradigm is to improve the user’s ability to create programs by making programming more accessible to some particular audience and improving the correctness and speed with which people perform programming tasks
Effects of Online Instruction to Student Motivation and Level of Participation in IT Network & Security Course
Technologies have a great and positive impact on students’ learning. Innovation of technology in teaching is now widespread, especially in creating lessons that are more interesting. Online instructions were created to improve and enhance student motivation in learning selected topics in the IT Network and Security course at the College of Computer Studies at the University of Antique, Philippines. The subjects of this study were 46 students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT). This study primarily aims to analyze the impact of online instructions on students’ learning
Digital Marketing: The Next Brand Promotion Paradigm
Digital marketing, or e-marketing, refers to the use of electronic media by marketers to advertise and promote products or services on the market. It is currently the most preferred and is continuously growing at an annual Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 40%, as can be seen on many online platforms all over the world. In India, digital marketing is projected to have a brighter future as services and businesses are increasingly becoming online. E-marketing has emerged as a more economical and powerful medium of brand promotion. This study aims to discuss the future trends and scope of digital marketing in India.
File Comparison Prototype: A Statistical Tool for Comparing Two Text Files
File comparison methods have been widely used by popular applications for file searching and checking plagiarized contents. This study aims to match two text files and get their average rate of accuracy. A file comparison prototype has been developed to perform the match, and its accuracy was determined with regards to the number of files and their sizes. The prototype’s acceptability will be determined with regards to usability, performance, and design. The arithmetic mean will be used to determine the accuracy of the matching text file, and the prototype will display the matched and unmatched results. The results show that the acceptability level for matching two text files is accurate, and the design of the GUI is easy to learn and use.
Developing “Genesis” Instructional Material in Learning the Different Theories on the Origin of Life
The utilization of technologies in learning has been exercised by educators in order to make classroom discussions more engaging and enhance learning among students. In this regard, developing instructional materials that integrate technologies on the different sets of learning tasks is essentially important. This paper deals with the development of an instructional material called “Genesis” in learning the theories on the origin of life and Biology unifying theories. This instructional material was developed to capture the student’s 21st century learning skills in Biology
A Study on the Aspects of Consumer Buying Behavior in E-Commerce
Technological innovation in the business field has provided a new paradigm commonly known as e-commerce. People can now do professional trading through the Internet. Thus, behavioral research would be beneficial for businesses engaging in this trend and for those who are still planning to do so. This paper deals with a descriptive study of consumer buying behavior in e-commerce. This discusses a brief history of e-commerce, consumer buying behavior, and the processes involved in purchasing decisions. In addition, the various factors and models of consumer buying behavior were enumerated. Furthermore, a collection of literature about e-commerce and elements affecting consumer behavior were discussed
The Visualization and Analysis of the Online Postings of Information Technology Jobs
Nowadays, gaining a substantial knowledge of the current job trends before obtaining a specialization in a certain field can be essentially important. Knowledge of the current job trends will help prepare the students before getting employed in different fields in the industry by training them with the correct and latest technologies that are required to do their jobs. This study aims to determine the most frequent and popular Information Technology job titles that can help prepare the future workforce. The data is analyzed from the job postings dataset through the KNIME miner, and then documents are created using Part-Of-Speech (POS) tagging through the Stanford Tagger. The documents are then preprocessed, and the most frequent and popular jobs are visualized using the Tag Cloud. The results showed the twelve most frequent and in-demand Information Technology job titles
