    Review on Smart Multi-Sensor Cane Technologies for Blind Peoples: Issue and Challenges

    The continually increasing number in individuals experiencing visual impairments globally, coupled with the challenges encountered by the blind in their daily existence, has prompted the advancement of conventional canes and the implementation of sophisticated assistive technologies to improve the autonomy of the blind and facilitate safer mobility sophisticated assistive technologies to improve the Independence of the blind and facilitate safer mobility. This review present recently utilized the incorporation of modern sensor technologies, namely LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and ultrasonic sensors, into smart canes to improve navigation functionalities. LiDAR enables high-precision obstacle identification and environmental mapping, whilst ultrasonic sensors provide dependable operation in bad weather situations. Utilization Internet of Things (IoT) connection to provide real-time data processing, remote support, and GPS tracking.  This paper evaluates current developments in smart cane technology, assessing the ad-vantages and drawbacks of different sensor combinations. systems, and wireless communication modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM) in enhancing user experience. The research underscores the difficulties encountered in sensor fusion, energy consumption, and environmental adaptation. Future advancements must prioritize AI integration for improved obstacle detection, energy-efficient designs, and economical implementations to boost the accessibility of assistive technology. This study advances innovation in assistive mobility solutions, enhancing freedom and safety for visually impaired persons

    A Review on The Effect of The Raw Mill Dust on The Properties of Concrete

    The main environmental impact of concrete comes from raw mill dust and carbon dioxide emissions during cement production. This paper reviews the effect of raw mill dust on the mechanical properties of concrete, the development and improvement of concrete mixtures, and the use of raw mill dust as a partial cement substitute to eliminate the environmental impact of raw mill dust. This dust is used to reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. This is achieved by replacing cement with raw mill dust used in the cement industry. To study the effect of using raw mill dust as a partial cement substitute in concrete, special attention was paid to the physical and chemical properties of the material. This paper aims to evaluate the potential of using this dust, a by-product of the cement industry, to improve concrete performance while reducing environmental impacts. It also evaluates the effect of different proportions of mill dust as a partial cement substitute on compressive strength, tensile strength, and workability. The results showed that incorporating mill dust in specific proportions improved some mechanical properties, such as increased long-term compressive strength, while slightly reducing tensile strength compared to conventional concrete. The addition also contributed to improving the sustainability of concrete by reducing cement consumption and carbon dioxide emissions

    Assessing the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Combating Drug Addiction

    The current study aims to identify the main areas and emerging trends in the field of artificial intelligence research in field of combating drug addiction. It relies on an accurate and organized scientific methodology to achieve its objectives, as research literature related to artificial intelligence in the field of combating drug addiction was collected from the Science Citation Index Expanded database within the Web of Science Core Collection. The period from 2015 to 2024 witnessed a significant increase in the number of research articles published on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in combating addiction, reflecting a growing global interest in this field. 31 research studies from several countries were analyzed, with the results showing that the United States of America leads research production with 4.34% (14 research papers), followed by Italy (5 research papers), indicating the significant challenges these countries face in the field of addiction. Countries such as Poland, Canada, India (two research papers each), Iran, Spain, Indonesia, China and Brazil have also begun to increase their focus on developing innovative solutions using AI. The current study identified key focus areas and emerging trends in the use of AI to diagnose and treat drug addiction. The findings suggest that AI will play an increasingly important role in efforts to combat this problem

    Performance of Partially Concrete Filled C-purlin Beam-Slab System: Numerical Investigation

    Lightweight cold-formed steel beams are widely utilized in roofing systems.  Recently, engineers have increasingly used concrete-filled cold-formed steel tube beams for flooring systems due to their sufficient structural performance. A system that uses cold-formed steel beam sections with dry-board profile steel sheet slab (CBPDS) system would cost less than the conventional I-steel beam-slab system, with less self-weight, it is considered one of the types of sustainable buildings. This study numerically investigated the structural performance of the newly suggested composite beam-slab (CBPDS) system. It was found that the partially filled C-purlin beam can significantly affect the system in the elastic and plastic ranges for the specimens (CBPDS-DF, CBPDS-DS, and CBPDS-S). The bending capacity of the specimens with varied beam configurations (CBPDS-DF, CBPDS-DS, and CBPDS-S) was decreased by about 50% when using a partially filled specimen from Le to Le/5. This happens because there is less concrete in the area that is only partially filled to help resist bending forces, which in turn will accelerate its failure

    This study aimed to identify the correlation and impact relationships between strategic flexibility (represented by production flexibility, competitive flexibility, human capital flexibility, market flexibility, and information flexibility) and cognitive rigidity reduction. The research problem stemmed from the central question: *Does strategic flexibility contribute to reducing cognitive rigidity in the University of Mosul, located in Nineveh Governorate?*  The study adopted a hypothetical framework reflecting the nature of its hypotheses, which examined the availability of the two variables and their correlation and impact relationships. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to a random sample of 300 employees at the University of Mosul. Statistical analysis tools in SPSS v24 and AMOS v24 were employed to test the hypotheses,The results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between strategic flexibility and cognitive rigidity reduction, highlighting the critical role of strategic flexibility in mitigating cognitive rigidity. Key recommendations for the university include adopting modern technologies to enhance services and developing programs to foster creativity among teams

    This study aimed to diagnose the reality of the dimensions of strategic flexibility (productive flexibility, competitive flexibility, human capital flexibility, market flexibility, and information flexibility) in the field under study (the University of Mosul Presidency). It tested the main hypothesis, which is "the availability of the dimensions of strategic flexibility in terms of its sub-dimensions." The study adopted a descriptive approach, with data collected through a questionnaire designed to measure the dimensions of strategic flexibility. The questionnaire was administered to a random sample of 300 university staff. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 to conduct descriptive and inferential analyses, and AMOS for structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesis. The results demonstrated a significant availability of the dimensions of strategic flexibility in the field under study, confirming the statistical consistency between the sub-dimensions and flexibility as a comprehensive construct. These results are evidence of the ability of educational institutions to increase their level of adoption of strategic flexibility to enhance their effectiveness. The study recommends enhancing these dimensions through institutional policies that support flexibility in planning and decision-making processes

    Selective Approaches to Synthesize New Series of Heterocyclic Compounds Derived from Metronidazole

    A series of novel azo compounds was synthesized from Metronidazole through the reduction of its nitro group to an amine, yielding 2-(5-amino-2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl) ethanol. The study comprised three main stages to produce new compounds with potential biological activity. In the first stage, the nitro group of Metronidazole was reduced to an amine. This intermediate then underwent two synthetic pathways. In the first pathway, Schiff bases were prepared by reacting the amine with various aldehydes, followed by conversion into heterocyclic derivatives. In the second pathway, the amine was transformed into a diazonium salt and subsequently coupled with phenolic compounds to obtain azo dyes. Specifically, the azo derivatives were synthesized by reacting compound with sodium nitrite at 0–5 °C, followed by coupling with several pharmaceutical compounds-paracetamol, 4-aminoantipyrine, Metronidazole reductase, sulfanilic acid, and salicylic acid-to yield compounds. Additionally, Schiff bases were synthesized by reacting compound with m-anisaldehyde, vanillin, and 3-nitrobenzaldehyde to produce compounds. These Schiff bases were then cyclized using thioglycolic acids and phthalic anhydrides to afford new heterocyclic compounds: thiazolidines and oxazepanes. The synthesized compounds were characterized by physical constants and spectral analyses, including infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy

    Synthesis, Characterization, Thermodynamics Studies and Antibacterial Activity of Same Mononuclear Complexes with Ligand Derived from 4-Aminoantipyrine with Threonine Amino Acid

    The heterocyclic ligand potassium 2-(((Z)-1,5-dimethyl-4-((E-1-(4-nitrophenyl) ethylidene) amino)-2-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-ylidene) amino)-3-hydroxybutanoate (K4-AP-NO2A-Thr) has been synthesized under the thermal condition from the combination of 4-aminoantipyrine, 4-nitroacetophenone, and Threonine. A new series of transition metal complexes of Mn(II), Co (II), Ni(II),Cu(II) and Zn (II) has been produced from the Schiff base(K4-AP-NO2A-Thr). The geometry structures of the ligand and the complexes were determined through FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, (C.H.N) analysis, as well as molar conductance and magnetic susceptibility. These studies revealed that tetrahedral structure was suggested for Co (II) and Cu (II) complexes. Yet, the octahedral structure was suggested for Mn(II), Ni (II) and Zn (II) complexes. In-vitro antibacterial activity of the synthesized ligand and its complexes against (S. aureus, K. aureus) was evaluated through the disc diffusion method. Thermodynamic values were studied by conductivity methods. The conductivity of solution complexes prepared at different temperatures in aqueous water was measured using the Lee-Wheaton equation to obtain the values of ionic molar conductivity (?), the association constant (KA), distance parameter (R), and (?º)

    Detecting genetic similarity and genetic divergence between the male and female flour beetle Tribolium confusum and the male and female puzzling flour beetle Tribolium castaneum through the use of molecular primers within the RAPD technique

    The two species, the similar flour beetle Tribolium confusum and the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum, belong to the Coleoptera order, the Tenebrionidae family. They are similar in appearance and it is difficult to distinguish them. In this study, 12 random primers were used, 6 of which were used in the RAPD method. The DNA was extracted, and then the purity of the samples used was confirmed by using the Bio Drop device. The purity of the samples used ranged between values 1.8-2 nanometers.Use a 1-kb DNA ladder. RAPD-PCR analysis yielded 64 molecular bands divided into 49 unique bands and 15 divergent bands. The random primer OPE-19 gave the highest number of total packets, about 19 packets. The random primer OPL-07-K gave the lowest number of total bands of 5 bands. The random primer OPA-11 gave the highest number of unique packets of 13 packets. The random primer OPL-07-K gave the lowest number of unique bands of 3. Random primer OPA-15 gave the highest number of divergent bands of 8. Random primer OPE-19 gave the highest efficiency value of 29.687%. The random primer OPL-07-K and OPA-15 gave the lowest efficiency value of 7.812%. The OPE-19 random primer gave the highest estimated discriminative value of 53.33%. The random primer OPA-15, OPA-11, and OPA-13 gave the lowest discriminatory ability of 6.66%. To find out the genetic matrix and the dendrogram, the MVSP program was used, and the genetic convergence matrix showed the presence of genetic differences between the studied samples.     Advanced Insights into Artificial Intelligence Applications in Antibiotic Resistance

    To examine key areas and emerging directions in artificial Intelligence (AI) research correlated to Antibiotic resistance. Research literature on AI in the field of Antibiotic resistance was gathered from the Science Citation Index expanded, which is part of the Scopes. This data was analyzed to gain insights into publication years, countries/regions, institutions, citations, and keywords. Co-occurrence network graphs were created using the VOSviewer Library, Publish or Perish, and CiteSpace tools on the online analysis platform. The analysis of AI-related antibiotic sensitivity research (2020–2025) highlights China's guiding contribution, fluctuating magazine trends, disparities in institutional output, and a strong research focus on bacterial resistance, biofilms, and quorum sensing, with bibliometric analysis revealing the dominance of antibiotic resistance as a key topic and citation metrics showing rapidly evolving scientific discussions in microbiology and antimicrobial research. The study identified key focus areas and emerging trends in artificial intelligence for antibiotic resistance and the role of certain bacteria on the patient, suggesting that artificial intelligence will play an increasingly prominent role in antibiotic resistance moving forward
