    Get PDF
In the background of the experience economy, consumers' demands level for products gradually shifts to the high-end. They pay more attention to the esteem and self-realization consciousness. At the same time, with the rapid development of technology, the homogeneity of products has become increasingly prominent. Based on the brand building of enterprises, the objective is to study the relationship among brand experience, brand personality, and consumers' purchase intention, collecting and analyzing data through a questionnaire survey, and finally verifying the hypothetical model. Brand personality plays an intermediary role between brand experience and consumers' purchase intention. At the same time, the results found that the related experience of brand experience and sensory experience have the most significant impact on purchase intention; “Courage”, “Benevolence” and “Happy” in brand personality have the most significant impact on purchase intention; communication experience has a significant impact on all dimensions of brand personality, which is higher than other dimensions of brand experience. In terms of the individual “Courage” dimension that affects brand personality, the effects of communication experience, related experience, and moral experience are the most significant. According to the study of intermediary effects, brand experience has the most significant impact on purchase intention through the three dimensions of “Courage”, “Benevolence” and “Happy”

This paper reports oral discourse performed by bilingual learners at the levels of Primary 6 and Secondary 3 at Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University. The purpose was to find out the extent to which learners at these levels were able to perform on oral discourse to communicate their ideas about themselves and their school life. The subjects were 34 Primary 6 students and 18 Secondary 3 students. All subjects were individually interviewed by two bilingual researchers of Thai and English—one Thai and one American. A set of ten questions was used in a 15-minute interview in English to secure oral discourse data from each subject. Oral discourse was assessed via communication skills at five levels in the use of conversational turns regarding relevance and appropriateness: (1) Full control, (2) Functional control, (3) Moderate control, (4) Sufficient control, (5) Marginal control. All interviews were recorded with consent of the subjects. During each interview, two more bilingual researchers of Thai and English were present to collect the subjects’ oral discourse datacontaining their conversational turns in responding to the interviewers’ questions. The results on communication skill levels indicate that the primary 6 subjects performed at five levels with a majority at level 2; the secondary 3 subjects performed at three levels (1-3) with a majority at levels 1 and 2, and there was none at level 4 or 5. As for oral discourse performance, the primary 6 and secondary 3 subjects at Levels 1 and 2 showed their conversational turns in natural, relevant and appropriate manners. For those who were less proficient at levels 3-5, their conversational turns reflected irrelevancy and inappropriateness

    No full text
Enhancement of undergraduate students' listening skills through listening strategies brings a lot of benefits because listening plays very important roles in communication for students at the university level. This study was an attempt to find out how three listening skills: metacognitive listening strategies (adapted from Vandergrift 2004), cognitive and social listening strategies (partly adapted from Oxford, 2006) could enhance undergraduate students’ listening skills. Thirtyundergraduates from a university in Thailand participated in this study. The research instruments were lesson plans, pre-and post-test, questionnaires, reflective journals and video clips. The results showed that majority of the participants gradually enhanced their listening skills. The result of the post-test was higher than that of the pre-test in terms of listening achievement. Participants obtained a very high score of the social listening strategy followed cognitive and metacognitive strategy. They also obtained high scores from social interaction based on the context studied. The result of the study implied that social interaction should be seriously investigated to see if it had the great impact on listening strategies
