No full textThis article analyzed enligh-tens characteristics of Mongolian modern periodicals based on published articles at the main newspapers and journals. Given the fact that the credibility of the media by the younger people is large enough, the problem of the influence of television on the formation of ideas about the health of young people is of particular importance. Mongolian media are paying attention to topics of health, journalists specialize in practice, but prints and TV, radio programs on the subject remain unnoticed, or even a "symbolic.

No full textThis article discusses the definitions of information society basing on the analysis of British sociologist Frank Webster. The article critically analyzes the concept of information society showing its vulnerability and ambi-guity and discusses its broader connections with concepts such as modernity and post modernity. It questions the possibility of information society from critical standpoint and its usage of concept in academic circles. At the end, it brings rather different “alternative” of information society of Webster not common in mainstream discourse of sociology of advanced societies. The article also discusses the political, social and global dimensions of information society
