On the 60th Anniversary of the Nuclear Research Center, NUM: Research on Nuclear Applications and Technologies
No full textSince its establishment in 1965 as the Nuclear Analysis Group under the National University of Mongolia, the Nuclear Research Center has been actively engaged in both fundamental and applied research in nuclear physics, as well as the implementation of nuclear methods and technologies in end users. During this period, over 400 scientific articles have been published in the field of nuclear applications and technologies. In addition, 8 technologies have been introduced into industrial use, 3 patents have been granted, 13 certificates of authorship and 2 utility model certificates have been obtained, and 20 Mongolian national standards have been developed and approved. In traditional Mongolian timekeeping, twelve years constitute one cycle, and five such cycles comprise a full sixty-year period known as an era, or jaran. Indeed, sixty years is a significant span of time, both in the life of a scholar and in the history of a scientific institution. This review article aims to briefly summarize the research activities undertaken over the past sixty years by the scientists and researchers of the Nuclear Physics Research Center (NPRC), with a particular focus on applied nuclear research, the development of nuclear methods and technologies, the creation of instruments and devices, and their implementation by end users—organized and presented by time period

No full textPublic transport services are not only a means of reducing congestion, but also an important tool for reducing the negative environmental impact in the region and equally meeting the needs of social target groups for transport services. According to Ulaanbaatar city administration, during the last 2 decades, several researches on public transportation issues. The authors examined and analyzed these researches and their recommendations at 3 theoretical levels аs macro, mezo and micro.
Also, the authors analyzed the policy decisions of city and national decision makers from the point of view of 3 policy decision options zerro option, updated option, and radical option. According to the results of the policy analysis, more short-term methods are used to improve public transport services in Ulaanbaatar. In this, works have been carried out in updating the bus fleet, increasing its number, shortening its lifespan, and improving roads. However, implementing the long-term public transport policy is slow and ineffective. The authors used such policy research methods as policy document review, content analysis, and case study. Ultimately, the authors concluded that most policy decisions were based on updated option

No full textAfter more than 30 years of guaranteeing Mongolian people's right to vote and be elected by the Constitution, Mongolians are going to participate in the 9th election in 2024 and enjoy their rights. In addition, less than 10 years have passed since the laws and regulations recognized that human beings have the right not to vote, and amendments were made to the relevant election laws.
Within the framework of this research, whether or not the actions with political goals carried out by the media in Mongolia had a direct impact on the election results, whether it is an attack on the right of citizens to vote, an attempt to manipulate the psychology of voters, and whether it is allowed by the ethical principles and norms of the media aims to raise the issue systematically from a scientific point of view
