Evaluation of strategic alternatives for corporate-group international expansion
In the mobility services sector, where economic, regulatory, technological, competitive and demand factors drive outcomes, rapid change creates a need for a clear, rational decision methodology. To ensure consistent international expansion, this study integrates strategic management and internationalization theory to design a criteria set for corporate-group market evaluation. The set is empirically validated in one mobility-services group using a panel of five senior managers who assessed three Central European markets—Poland, Czechia and Hungary. Criterion weights were obtained with AHP (pairwise comparisons on the Saaty 1–9 scale; consistency ratio CR ≤ 0.10) and alternatives were ranked using TOPSIS. Robustness was tested via sensitivity analysis by systematically varying weights ±10–20% and applying an equal-weights scenario; the ranking did not change. Based on the closeness coefficient, the results rank Czechia first (Ci = 0.626), Poland second (Ci = 0.595) and Hungary third (Ci = 0.306). The conclusions discuss portfolio implications for entry sequencing between short-term rental and long-term leasing models. The study contributes a sector-calibrated, literature-grounded and empirically validated criteria set, an AHP–TOPSIS application with real executive judgments and robustness checks, and a portfolio perspective that enables decisions for the whole corporate group rather than a single brand.

Įmonių grupės tarptautinės plėtros strateginių alternatyvų vertinimas

Mobilumo paslaugų sektoriuje, kuriame sprendimus lemia ekonominiai, reguliaciniai, technologiniai, konkurenciniai ir paklausos / vartotojų elgsenos veiksniai, spartūs pokyčiai didina poreikį turėti aiškią metodiką sprendimams priimti. Dėl išorinių veiksnių spaudimo tampa būtina vadovautis racionaliu sprendimų priėmimu, kad tarptautinės plėtros sprendimai būtų pagrįsti ir nuoseklūs. Remiantis strateginio valdymo ir internacionalizacijos pagrindinėmis teorijomis, suformuojamas kriterijų rinkinys, skirtas priimti strateginiams įmonių grupės internacionalizacijos sprendimams, susijusiems su rinkų alternatyvų vertinimu. Rinkinys empiriškai patikrintas vienos mobilumo paslaugų įmonių grupės atveju, įtraukiant penkis ekspertus – atskirų toje grupėje veikiančių įmonių vadovus, kurie įvertino tris Centrinės Europos rinkas: Lenkiją, Čekiją ir Vengriją. Kriterijų svoriai nustatomi taikant AHP (poriniai palyginimai pagal Saaty 1–9; suderinamumo patikra, CR ≤ 0,10), o alternatyvių rinkų reitingas sudaromas TOPSIS metodu. Sprendimo stabilumui įvertinti atlikta jautrumo analizė – svoriai sistemiškai varijuoti ±10–20 % ir pritaikytas lygiaverčių svorių scenarijus; reitingo eiliškumas nepasikeitė. Rezultatai parodė, kad pagal artumo koeficientą pirmauja Čekija (Ci = 0,626), po jos – Lenkija (Ci = 0,595), trečia – Vengrija (Ci = 0,306). Išvadose aptariamos portfelio (trumpalaikės / ilgalaikės nuomos) implikacijos įėjimo sekai. Straipsnio indėlis pasireiškia sektoriui pritaikytu ir įmonių grupės (portfelio) specifiką atliepiančiu, literatūra grįstu, empiriškai validuotu kriterijų rinkiniu, AHP–TOPSIS taikymu su realių ekspertų vertinimais ir rezultatų tvirtumo patikra bei portfelio perspektyva, leidžiančia sprendimus priimti visai įmonių grupei, o ne tik atskiram prekės ženklui.

Real-time information-based combined control method for bus delay
As environmental pollution and energy consumption become increasingly serious concerns, more cities are opting for electric buses over traditional fuel buses. However, the stability and reliability of electric buses during operation are challenged by the unpredictability of traffic flow and passenger demand. Factors such as traffic congestion, weather conditions, and fluctuations in passenger numbers can compromise the punctuality of electric bus services, often resulting in delays. To address these challenges, a real-time dual-objective bus control model for mixed traffic scenarios has been proposed. This model aims to minimize both passenger time costs and company operational costs. Factors such as intersections and traffic flow are also considered. A combined control strategy, including speed control and a backup bus replacement strategy, has been proposed. Speed control is specifically aimed at managing intersection delays, allowing buses to adjust their speeds to pass through intersections optimally between queue dissipation and the end of the green-light period. The backup bus replacement strategy, on the other hand, is implemented at bus terminals, where a backup bus replaces a delayed one to maintain the schedule. A heuristic algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is incorporated into the model, enhancing its effectiveness by iteratively updating the positions and velocities of particles in the search space. Harbin City Road 96 was selected as a case study for model validation. In the off-peak case scenario, schedule deviation was reduced by 89% through the implementation of the proposed speed control strategy. Additionally, passenger waiting time was reduced by 8%, and passenger travel time was reduced by 14%. In the peak case scenario, the proposed control strategy effectively eliminated bus departure delays originating within the bus system. These results demonstrate the potential of the proposed model to significantly enhance the reliability and stability of public transportation systems, thereby improving the overall quality of public transport services
A case study of the use of statistical processing of the armature rotation irregularities for the diagnostics of locomotive traction electric motors
Locomotive Traction Electric Motors (TEMs) generate power to rotate the wheelsets of diesel or electric locomotives, electric or diesel multiple units. TEMs are the most critical parts of traction rolling stock on which exploitation costs, reliability and train traffic safety depend. The purpose of the article is to evaluate the possibility of diagnostics the technical condition of the TEM using the rotation irregularities of the armature shaft in the electric motor as a diagnostic parameter. The article analyses the main causes of TEM failures and methods for diagnosing electric motors in operation. The expediency of using the rotation irregularities of the armature shaft in the electric motor as a diagnostic parameter is substantiated. The structural flowchart of the device for measuring the rotation irregularities of the armature is presented. Diagnosing the mechanical part of an electric motor is chosen as an implementation example. The authors confirmed the connection between the technical condition of the electric motor and the statistical indicators calculated for the signal of the rotation irregularities of the armature shaft
The approach to optimization of the structure of the repair process of aviation radio equipment
The Operation System (OS) of Aviation Radio Equipment (ARE) includes such elements as equipment, organizational structure, processes, documentation, personnel, measuring equipment, consumables and information resources, and others. When considering the problems of primary design and modernization of OSs, a large number of problems arise that can be solved with the help of intelligent decision support systems. During the operation of ARE, significant material resources are consumed, the amount of which is usually random. Therefore, during design, one of the main tasks is to ensure the minimum costs. This article considers the task of cost optimization within the organizational structure of the repair process. At the same time, the article provides analytical equations that allow to calculate and estimate operational costs for a given organizational structure, tariffs for repair and delivery of equipment components, and failure flow parameters. Attention is also paid to the task of rationalizing the organizational structure of the repair process, taking into account the efficiency of the decision-making procedures depending on the failure type (simple or complex). In addition, the article considers an example of several scenarios for the possible placement of repair enterprises in the airports of Ukraine during the post-war reconstruction period
The threshold effect of the Taiwan stock market on ETF under the monetary policy
Taiwan’s central bank produces tightening or easing effects by controlling the rediscount rate, which indirectly affects the stock market. An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is a fund that tracks the stock market index. ETF’s effect on trading involves not only the trading volume brought by ETF trading but also the various ETF trading strategies and the basket trading required by ETF, which makes the trading of other stocks more active. We examine whether there is a threshold effect of Taiwan’s stock market on ETF under monetary policy. The explanatory variable is the price return rate of the stock market’s weighted index; the response variable is the ETF price return rate. The rediscount rate is used as a transition variable. We analyze daily data from September 28, 2011 to September 28, 2020 using a smooth-transition autoregressive model with exogenous variables (STARX). The results reveal a threshold effect between stock market of Taiwan and ETF.

The influence of external economic policy fluctuation on enterprise productivity: Based on Chinese listed enterprises
Drawing upon a comprehensive dataset encompassing Chinese publicly traded enterprises across the two-decade span from 2000 to 2020, this article analyzes the effects of external economic policy variations on the productivity of Chinese enterprises. The consequences show that when facing the aggravation of external variations in economic policy, enterprises prefer to enhance total factor productivity and labor productivity to reduce the risk caused by the expansion of external uncertainty. Moreover, the greater the degree of internationalization of an enterprise, the higher its vulnerability to variations in external economic policies. The mechanism test shows that for enterprises that only participate in domestic circulation, external economic policy fluctuations improve productivity by affecting the operating environment; however, when enterprises join in the dual circulation, the fluctuations will promote productivity by affecting the scale of enterprises’ overseas business instead.

Exploring the impact of digital transformation on productivity: the role of artificial intelligence technology, green technology, and energy technology
The aim of this paper is to explore the technological innovation mechanism by which digital transformation (DT) influences total factor productivity (TFP). We take the Chinese listed firms from 2007 to 2020 as research samples, and con- tribute to the above goals based on fixed-effect models, instrumental variables, mediation effect, and moderating effect models. It has been found that (1) while DT contributes positively to productivity, the enhancement of TFP in current DT is primarily attributed to artificial intelligence (AI) technology rather than other techno- logical innovation. (2) From an innovation-directed perspective, the impact of DT on TFP may be offset by other forms of technological innovation, such as green and energy technology. Specifically, the non-AI direction of technological innovation may not align with the productivity implications of DT. (3) Intellectual property protection impedes the impact of DT on productivity and constrains the deployment of AI technology. Conversely, business strategic radicalism and corporate intangible asset have yielded favorable outcomes. This study not only verifies that the technological innovation channel of DT for enhancing TFP mainly stems from AI technology, but also implies that the current DT might exert a negative effect on other technologies.

E-commerce policy, market integration and regional economic disparities: evidence from China’s national e-commerce demonstration cities
Using panel data of 284 cities at prefecture level and above in China from 2003 to 2022, this paper takes the National E-commerce Demonstration Cities (NEDC) as a quasi-natural experiment, employs the staggered difference-in-difference (DID) model to examine the impact of the NEDC policy on regional economic disparities (RED), and explores the mediating roles of factor and commodity market integration. The main findings are as follows: First, the NEDC policy significantly narrows RED, which still holds after a series of robustness tests. Second, the mechanism analysis demonstrates that the NEDC policy mitigates RED by fostering both factor and commodity market integration. Third, the inhibitory effect of the NEDC policy on RED is more pronounced in non-eastern cities, southern cities, commercial-based cities, ordinary prefecture-level cities and good business environment cities. Fourth, the NEDC policy exhibits a significant synergistic inhibitory effect on RED within 150 km radius of the demonstration cities. Moreover, the inhibitory effect of the NEDC policy becomes more pronounced at lower quantiles of RED. This study elucidates the role of e-commerce policy in narrowing RED and provides valuable policy insights for achieving coordinated regional economic development in the new era.

Smart wireless low power valve positioner dedicated for use in aviation laboratories
Testing aircraft components in laboratories is crucial phase of developing new technologies in aviation. Component testing helps to find design mistakes or check durability and efficiency, which increase safety. Despite such an important role of laboratory tests in Aviation, valve positioners with insufficient capabilities are often used during the research. In many cases range of tests are limited because too low flow or pressure control resolution. Moreover, valves with valve positioners are moved between test rigs and change placement in the test room which generate laborious work with wiring and configuration. This paper shows the way for increasing capabilities of laboratory control system with use of smart, wireless, battery powered valve positioners. Following sections show control algorithm, PCB design and test results. Research shows that designed valve positioner controller enables the system to reach control accuracy many times higher than typical valve positioners available on the market and could operate directly with external sensors. Moreover, low power design approach enables valve positioner to operate for months without battery replacement. In proposed approach, positioner could be controlled remotely through Bluetooth Low Energy and could work as a part of laboratory IoT (Internet of Things) network
Will peer-to-peer online lending affect the effectiveness of monetary policy?
Online lending is a product of digital transformation, which has had a profound impact on the traditional money market. This paper discusses the impact of peer-to-peer (P2P) online lending on the effectiveness of monetary policy. Through the bootstrap sub-sample rolling-window Granger causality tests show that P2P has both positive and negative impacts on the money supply (M2). The positive impact of P2P on M2 indicates that online loans increase the amount of money supply. The negative impact of P2P on M2 shows that it may cut the money supply, thus weakening the monetary policy effectiveness. The general equilibrium model is inconsistent with these results, which underlines a positive effect from P2P to M2. In turn, the negative impact points out that the adjustment of monetary policy will hinder the development of P2P. The negative impact of M2 on P2P indicates that through the regulation of money supply, the online lending market can be correctly guided to prevent financial market from getting out of control. Through the supervision of online lending industry, we can accurately grasp the development of the internet financial industry and reduce its impact on monetary policy.
