Bogács a térképen: fürdőturizmusból önálló márka?
Get PDFThe research aims to examine the tourism appeal and marketing potential of Bogács. Its central question is whether the supply solely based on the thermal bath is sufficient to build an independent destination brand or whether it can only play a complementary role in regional tourism. The project work of three student groups (Eszterházy Károly Catholic University) provided the foundations for this research, including social media materials and interviews with three prominent people, along with data from the Central Statistical Office. The findings revealed that the tourism offerings of Bogács are almost exclusively linked to thermal water, while wine, gastronomy, event tourism, and cultural and natural values only play a complementary role. The lack of high-class accommodation poses the main obstacle for the settlement becoming an independent brand. Consequently, despite its proximity to Eger, Bogács can become a strong tourism brand if targeted infrastructure developments, differentiated brand building, cycling, equestrian and event tourism along with infrastructural developments around the fishing lake are realised.A kutatás célja Bogács turisztikai vonzerejének és marketingpotenciáljának vizsgálata. Központi kérdése, hogy a gyógyfürdőre épülő kínálat elegendő-e egy önálló desztinációs márka kialakításához, vagy inkább kiegészítő szerepet tölt be a térség turizmusában. Az elemzés alapját három hallgatói csoport (Eszterházy Károly Katolikus Egyetem) projektmunkái, közösségimédia-anyagai és három prominens személlyel készült interjúk adták, kiegészítve a KSH statisztikai adataival. Az eredmények rámutattak, hogy Bogács turisztikai kínálata szinte kizárólag a gyógyvízhez kötődik, míg a bor- és gasztroturizmus, a rendezvények, a kulturális és természeti értékek csupán kiegészítő szerepet játszanak. A település önálló márkává válását leginkább a magasabb kategóriájú szálláshelyek hiánya akadályozza. Következtetésként megfogalmazható, hogy Bogács Eger közelsége ellenére is erős turisztikai márkává válhat, ha célzott infrastrukturális fejlesztések, differenciált márkaépítés, valamint a kerékpáros, lovas és rendezvényturizmus, továbbá a horgásztó körüli infrastruktúra fejlesztése megvalósul

A Review of the Jordanian Framework Governing Foreign Workers
Get PDFAs Jordan continues to experience an increasing influx of foreign workers in the country due to political issues arising in neighbouring countries and Jordan’s strategic position, it was deemed necessary to provide a review of the current framework governing foreign workers and to demonstrate any issues in the current legislation. In this article, the authorused the descriptive analysis approach to provide a summary of the labor migration status in Jordan,The International framework that Jordan adheres to, the national laws and regulations in place to regulate foreign workforce, in addition to providing a critical analysis of the Kafala system in Jordan and reflecting on the issues it raises. The author concluded that Jordan’s current laws prohibit foreign workers from forming trade unions, or take leadership positions in any trade unions, contradicting the international guarantees provided by human rights conventions, additionally the author has shed a light on the consequences of implementing the Kafala (sponsorship) system
Counterterrorism and Human Rights: A Global Perspective
Get PDFThis paper explores the intricate balance between counterterrorism measures and the protection of human rights, with a focus on liberal democracies. It examines how practices such as detention without trial, torture, and extrajudicial killings infringe upon fundamental human rights, which are essential for human dignity. Through case studies, including Northern Ireland in the 1970s and the United States’ post-9/11 “war on terror,” this paper highlights the key mechanisms shaping counterterrorism strategies and their broader implications for civil liberties.
The research engages with international law and human rights frameworks, analyzing the impact of counterterrorism efforts on the global protection of human rights. Furthermore, the paper addresses a critical gap in the academic literature: the limited discussion surrounding the effectiveness of counterterrorism policies in achieving security while maintaining rights standards. A comparative analysis of international and national court decisions, including the European Court of Human Rights and the UK Supreme Court, is conducted to illustrate judicial reasoning in counterterrorism cases, particularly concerning the proportionality test.
This study concludes that existing counterterrorism policies often fail to justify the extensive curtailment of rights, particularly where their effectiveness remains uncertain. The paper calls for more rigorous, empirical evaluation of counterterrorism measures, advocating for the development of standardized models that assess both security outcomes and broader societal impacts. By doing so, it aims to contribute to a more nuanced discourse on counterterrorism and human rights at a global level

No full textPéter Zrínyi (1621–1671), the younger brother of the poet Miklós Zrínyi, played a significant role in the history of Hungarian–Croatian literary relations. He translated his brother’s epic poem and the entire Syrena volume into Croatian, producing two different versions (1660, 1666). The adaptation involved not only content-related changes but also formal modifications, including alterations in the structure of certain poems. This workshop study investigates the reasons behind these changes within the framework of Hungarian and Croatian poetic systems, and explores the relationship between the two traditions with respect to orality and sung poetry. The paper was originally written in honour of Sándor Bene, a distinguished Zrínyi scholar, on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday in 2024. The title of the study is also borrowed from him, as he used this phrase to characterize the relationship between the two brothers.A költő Zrínyi Miklós öccse, Zrínyi Péter (1621–1671) fontos szerepet játszik a magyar–horvát irodalmi kapcsolatok történetében. Bátyja eposzát és az azt körülvevő teljes Syrena kötetet ő fordította horvát nyelvre, két változatban (1660, 1666). Az átdolgozás nemcsak tartalmi, hanem formai szempontokat is érintett, így néhány vers formája is megváltozott. A műhelytanulmány e változások okait keresi a magyar és horvát versformák rendszerében, s kitér a két hagyomány viszonyára az oralitást és az énekelt költészetet illetően. Appreciating Everyone’s Unique Contribution To The Jigsaw Puzzle of Education: Autonomy and Responsibility Journal Of Educational Sciences Vol. 9 No. 1 (2024)
No full textThis article focuses on increasing students’ appreciation of their groupmates’ contributions to successful group learning experiences, with special attention to nursing education. The article begins with looking at the Jigsaw technique and four aspects that power Jigsaw: everyone has a unique resource; everyone needs to cooperate to succeed; everyone strives together to achieve a group learning goal; and teachers facilitate student-student interactions. Next, the article looks at six other cooperative learning techniques and families of techniques. Finally, nine suggestions are made for helping all group members shine in Jigsaw, the other cooperative learning techniques, and, indeed, all group learning endeavours.
