Get PDFThis study examines the development of a project-based learning model for teaching English for Specific Purpose (ESP) in the Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Malikussaleh University. The first stage of data was obtained by conducting interviews with lecturers to obtain preliminary data. Interviews were conducted with lecturers in English courses and lecturers in the Accounting study program to get an idea of the appropriate project material. The second stage is the development of a project-based learning model prototype based on the results of interviews. Furthermore, this prototype was validated by two validators, namely
material experts and evaluation and assessment experts. The model was revised based on feedback from the validator to create a project-based learning model that was ready to be implemented. The results of this study create a project-based learning model that can be applied by lecturers in teaching English for accounting in higher education

Get PDFThis study examines the effect of regional original revenues (PAD) and balancing funds on economic growth of all provinces in Indonesia. The data used is panel data from 2015 to 2020. The method used is panel data regression analysis using Eviews 10. The results of the study show that, partially PAD has no effect on economic growth of all provinces in Indonesia in 2015-2020, while balancing funds have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, PAD and balancing funds have a positive and significant effect on economic growth of all provinces in Indonesia in 2015-2020. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested the central and local government utilize balancing funds optimally in order to increase the economic growth of each region in Indonesia
Development of Square and Triangle Surface Area Pocket Books as Learning Media for Junior High Schools
Get PDFThis study was conducted at SMP Negeri 8 Lhokseumawe about the development of rectangular and triangular pocket books against the background of the lack of availability of textbooks in schools, coupled with inadequate learning media that supports students to study independently, thus causing low learning motivation of students. and learning outcomes have not increased. The aims of this study: (1) To determine the validity of the development of rectangular and triangular surface area pocket books as learning media for junior high schools, (2) to determine the feasibility of developing square and triangular surface area pocket books as learning media for junior high schools, (3) to find out responses teachers and students on the development of rectangular and triangular surface area pocket books as learning media for junior high schools. The design of this research is research and development called Research and Development (R & D) using the Borg and Gall model modified into 7 stages according to Sugiyono. Data collection techniques using validation sheets and questionnaires. The results obtained from the validation of media experts obtained a percentage of 91.48% and material experts obtained a percentage of 83.52% with a very valid category. The results of the feasibility of pocket books obtained a percentage of 84.69% with a very decent category, and teacher responses to pocket books obtained a percentage of 89.52% in a very good category, and students' responses to pocket books obtained a percentage of 80% in a good category. So it can be concluded that pocket books can be well received at SMP Negeri 8 Lhokseumawe. Recommendations from the research are expected to schools, institutions related to educational practitioners to conduct trials on a broad group so that the level of effectiveness can be known to support learning

Get PDFClassification is one method of data mining techniques for classifying data by system according to predetermined rules. In this study, the algorithm used was K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm and the data used in this study was the community data obtained from Kantor Desa Gampong Uteun Geulinggang, Dewantara, in Aceh Utara. The main focus of this study was to analyzing and applying K-NN algorithm in a web-based system to classify data on beneficiaries of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) in Gampong Uteun Geulinggang, Dewantara, Aceh Utara. This study used 16 (sixteen) criterias, namely house status, floor area, floor type, gas cylinder, refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater, television, jewelry/gold (10 grams), computer/laptop, bicycle, motorcycle, car, cow, buffalo and goat. The data was classified into 3 classes, namely worthy, not unworthy and very unworthy. The results of this study with a value of k = 3, obtained a precision value of 97%, recall value of 95% and the accuracy value of 97%
