    Get PDF
One instructional strategy that is getting popularity is known as the "flipped classroom paradigm of learning." In this pattern, lectures and other activities that would normally take place in the classroom, such as demonstrations, are carried out at the students' homes. On the other hand, activities that would normally be carried out outside of the classroom are carried out in the classroom. There is a scarcity of evidence on the efficacy of this instructional technique at present. The purpose of this survey was to add to the expanding body of evidence regarding the flipped classroom model of education by investigating how preservice instructors perceive the model as well as how it affects the academic performance of students. When comparing the flipped model to the traditional approach, we found that the conventional method produced significantly better results in terms of academic achievement. In addition to this, we came up with several possible elements that have an influence

    Get PDF
There is a significant disparity between the potential for zakat and zakat collected in Indonesia. This gap is caused by a lack of public understanding of the obligation to pay zakat, lack of trust in zakat institutions, lack of socialization of zakat, and lack of acceptance and use of optimal zakat payment technology. The main objective of this study is to identify the factors that influence the intention and behavior of tithe. Individual factors, acceptance and use of technology, integrated marketing communications, and good zakat institution governance are all included as independent variables in this study. Purposive sampling was used to collect samples of obligatory zakat with certain conditions, resulting in 400 respondents. The research findings show that individual factors derived from the theory of planned behavior, as well as good corporate governance from zakat institutions, have a significant influence on the intention to pay zakat. While the acceptance and use of integrated marketing communication technology has no significant effect. This study adds a model of planned behavior in paying zakat in Indonesia. Consequently, the methodological significance of this study will provide new insights into the specification of the model

Corporate culture is the intangible asset of every business, and despite its complexity, corporate culture building is increasingly becoming acknowledged in developing countries, especially in today’s age of globalisation. Corporate organisations must integrate into a new culture to survive in the competitive market of product and services innovation. Private corporations are not excluded; these premises need to deepen their international assimilation to expand their business outside of the country, gain local and worldwide acceptance and become sustainable businesses. The various internal challenges, coupled with the intense external competition, are important reasons for every business establishment to build a feasible corporate culture. Furthermore, the researcher also believes that an excellent corporate culture contributes to the company’s managerial effectiveness. Hence, this study’s primary objective is to investigate the relationship between corporate culture and managerial effectiveness. The study applied a mixed method of qualitative and quantitative research to test the research model’s scale. This study starts with the qualitative method through semi-structured key informant interviews with fifteen managers and professors in Vietnam. The study then applied the quantitative method by involving 400 survey respondents working in private enterprises from March 2020 to August of the same year. The qualitative and quantitative analysis in this study indicates that the four/five PERMA model factors (Positive Emotion, Relationship, Meaning and Accomplishment) positively impact the corporate culture. Meanwhile, another factor (Engagement) is not influenced by corporate culture. Furthermore, corporate culture is positively related to managerial effectiveness, so the hypotheses of H1, H3, H4, H5 and H6 are supported. However, the quantitative result in this research could not find the difference between the corporate culture and managerial effectiveness of the various company types of production, distribution and service (H7 is not supported). The conclusion, recommendation, limitation and suggestion for further study are also discussed in this study

The Indonesian national 2013 kurikulum (K13) draws from the national ideology of Pancasila. There are five principles in Pancasila. The first one is the theistic principle relating to God-centred education emphasising faith and piety. It accommodates diversity in religions. The research was conducted to evaluate the implementation of the theistic principle in Sekolah Dian Harapan and Sekolah Lentera Harapan, as a Christian school system under a head office collectively known as SDLH. Both schools used enriched K13. The evaluation of curriculum implementation was done using Stufflebeam’s Context, Input, Process and Product evaluation model. The study employed qualitative methodology. It addressed both the macro and micro perspectives by looking at the whole school system as a single case, while treating each CIPP stage as a distinct unit of analysis. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and participatory self-studies. The respondents were the leadership team of 39 schools which consists of principals, vice-principals, and curriculum-coordinators. The findings show that God-centred education occurred intentionally in the SDLH school system. Nevertheless, this study found substantial shortcomings in the alignment of the implementation of the theistic Pancasilaist Godcentred education from Input to product of learning. While SDLH intended to convey GCE at the contextual level, the implementation was not deeply and profoundly effective. The inconsistency started at the input stage resulting in a weak learning process that affected the GCE delivery as reflected well in the product of learning. The research makes significant contributions to the theistic God-centred education in Indonesia in a way it highlights the crucial gaps which will help enable constructive curriculum alignment from policy to practice

A specific study focusing on the success of asnāf entrepreneurs is currently very rare because zakāt distribution is still consumption dominant. The asnāf entrepreneur program is expected to be a sustainable solution for poverty alleviation and it deserves in-depth review. This study aims at building a conceptual model that determines the success of asnāf entrepreneurs. Literature research data were collected on publications produced between 2000 and 2020, sourced from Google Scholar, using published applications. The preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) and bibliometric approaches were used for data analysis. The results of the study led to development of a conceptual model for determining asnāf entrepreneur success, which includes six variables: characteristics, competency, intention, religiosity, resources, and opportunities. Asnāf entrepreneur success can be measured in four dimensions: life improvement, financial performance, non-financial performance, and maqāṣid sharī‘ah. Another important finding is that three theories, namely theory of planned behavior, giving back theory, and resource-based view, support the study. Two additional theories support the conceptual models, namely: human capital theory and theory of opportunity identification and development. Results of this study produced a conceptual model for determining success of asnaf entrepreneurs
