The Javanese Eagle is a rare and protected animal in Indonesia. These animals only live in a few species and are threatened with extinction. These birds need to be bred to avoid extinction. One form of communication between the Javanese eagles and each other is the sound of their tweets. These tweets can be studied and classified to conserve endangered animals. This study will classify the sound of the Javanese Eagles for the benefit of animal conservation. Data in the form of voice tweets will be classified. This classification uses algorithms from improved MFCC (Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients) and Deep Convolutional Neural Network. The result of this study was to classify the sound of the Javanese Eagle from the lack of food or drink, the normal tweets state of the bird, and to find out the Javanese Eagle in finding a partner. This research has been carried out by comparing the CNN architecture with AlexNet and VGGNet models and various combinations of training, validation, and test data. The best model dataset underwent division into 80% for training, 10% for validation, and 10% for testing. Training and testing of both IMFCC and VGGNet models occurred using the same dataset. During training, VGGNet achieved 100% accuracy, while testing yielded 99%. ROC Curve: 'Normal' AUC 0.996, 'Looking for Partner' AUC 1.000, 'Looking for Food' AUC 0.996. This study aids Javanese Eagle conservation, crucial for preventing extinction at conservation sites

    Get PDF
Compared to ten years ago, medical college students now face more complicated problems, such as relationship problems that are more serious and mental health difficulties like depression, anxiety, and suicide ideas. Counselling is essential for assisting students in developing a deeper understanding of both themselves and their environment, which will enable them communicate with others more skillfully. The purpose of this study was to evaluate how much counselling assisted medical students in controlling their anxiety and depression. An experimental design of "before-and-after with control" was used. 120 randomly chosen medical students from a private medical college were given the Beck Anxiety and Depression Inventory. The students were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group, with 30 males and 30 females in each. Means, standard deviations, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The study discovered that the students who received counselling had lower levels of anxiety and depression. Counselling proved beneficial in boosting self-confidence and enhancing the ability to adjust, by reducing anxiety and depression among medical students. Both male and female students in the experimental group showed significant reductions in anxiety and depression levels, while the control group, which did not receive counselling, maintained the same levels of anxiety and depression

The Effect of Dark Leadership Traits on Employee Job Embedded: A Chain Mediation Analysis of Leader-Member Exchange and Perceived Insider Status

    Get PDF
The study focus on dark leadership traits (narcissistic, psychopathic, and Machiavellian), highlights the negative effects on employee job embeddedness, and emphasizes the mediating roles of Leader-Member Exchange and Perceived Insider Status. Leadership characterized by narcissistic, psychopathic, or Machiavellian traits collectively referred to as "dark leadership" that integrates self-serving behaviors with manipulative tendencies, often driven by arrogance and personal gain. This style of leadership can have profound negative impacts on both organizations and their employees. The growing interest in understanding the detrimental effects of dark leadership on subordinates has become a focal point in organizational behavior research. This study, grounded in social exchange theory and resource conservation theory, develops a chain mediation model to examine how dark leadership influences employee job embeddedness. Utilizing data from a survey of 405 corporate employees, the study's findings reveal a significant negative relationship between dark leadership traits and job embeddedness. Additionally, leader-member exchange (LMX) and perceived insider status are shown to act as mediating variables in this relationship, both independently and in a chain mediation framework. These findings offer valuable insights into the complex dynamics of dark leadership, contributing to the theoretical understanding of its impact and providing practical implications for improving leadership practices across various organizational contexts

    Get PDF
The main issue is the lack of awareness and comprehension of the Islamic finance industry which has become a serious challenge for clients, investors, and other players in the Malaysian Islamic finance industry. Despite the government's support for Malaysian Islamic banking, some obstacles like lack of human resources, misconceptions about Islamic money, and difficulty with standardization and harmonization persist. Islamic banks, Islamic capital markets, and takaful institutions are three of the most important elements of Malaysia's Islamic financial system. A research instrument adapted from previous studies is administered for data collection on a sample of 253 respondents which consist of 150 male and 67 female. The purpose of the current research is to examine the factors that influence attitudes toward the adoption of Islamic finance. The study extends the theory of reasoned action (TRA) by incorporating additional variables such as awareness, religious obligation, and social influence. The data collected are subjected to data cleaning through SPSS 25 version and structural equation modelling using PLS-SEM 4.0. The results of the study reveal that consumer attitude towards Islamic financing is collectively determined by awareness, religious obligation, and social influence. It reflects that all three predictors (awareness, religious obligation, and social influence) are the major predictors of a consumer’s attitude toward Islamic finance at (1% p >0.000). The study also recorded an R² of 86% representing overall variance in attitude towards Islamic fiancé may be explained by the study model. In conclusion, the success of Islamic finance ultimately depends on consumer awareness, religious obligation, and social influence. The results provide vital inputs to policymakers and practitioners in offering and promoting Islamic financing. Also, the knowledge and understanding of key consumer-specific factors can be used by Islamic finance institutions in framing strategies for positioning and targeting Islamic financing products. The study is subjected to certain limitations which include the fact that the study design is cross-sectional in nature and limited to adult workers in Malaysia. Essentially, this study is a pioneering effort to apply an integrated TRA model to determine consumer attitudes to the use of Islamic financial products among adult workers in Malaysia

The objective of this research study was to analyze the impact Job Satisfaction, career planning, organizational culture, training and development, employee engagement practices and employee turnover have on organizational performance in the banking sector of Pakistan. The research evaluated the mediating impact of employee turnover in the relationship between Human resources practices and organizational performance. Employee retention is low in the banking sector as employees leave due to low motivation and a high burden of work. The personal and demographic factors are the core reasons found by researchers. In the banking sector, it has been found that the lack of organizational commitment, Job Factors, and Job Satisfaction are the determinants of employee retention. This research has been conducted within the Pragmatism research paradigm which is the combination of both Positivism and Interpretivism. The data has been collected from Officers, Senior Officers, Managers, Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and Executive Vice Presidents working in Commercial Banks of Pakistan through questionnaires and interviews. The sample of 385 responses was collected through a self-administered questionnaire from middle and top managers/executives of banks, and five in-depth interviews of Senior Bankers were also conducted to analyze the factors affecting employee turnovers and organizational performance. The research results were analyzed through SPSS Software for quantitative data analysis and NVivo was used to analyze the qualitative data collected from respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is was applied to analyze the direct and indirect impacts of variables on employee turnover in the banking industry. The research results reveal that the data reliability of the scale wassignificant and values of Cronbach’s Alpha for all variables were greater than 0.7 which shows the scale used to collect the data was reliable. The structural model analysis was applied to evaluate the significant impact of variables, with Job Satisfaction, Career Planning and development, Organizational culture, training and development, and employee engagement practices as independent variables, Employee Turnover as mediator, and Organization performance as dependent variable. The results showed that Job Satisfaction, Organizational culture, training, and development have a significant impact on employee turnover, and employee turnover has a significant impact on organizational performance in the banking industry based on ‘t’ statistics and probability values of direct effects in SEM. The research results of indirect effects showed that the analysis variable employee turnover has a significant mediating impact on the relationship between Job Satisfaction, Career Planning and Development, Organizational culture and organizational performance, and the other two variables i.e. organizational training and employee engagement did not show the mediating impact. Eleven hypotheses were developed and tested in this research study. This research was focused on the banking sector in Pakistan. The study’s emphasis was on commercial banks and employees working in commercial banks. Due to the limitations of cost and time, the researcher was unable to include all conventional banks in Pakistan. The research is useful for the banking sector in Pakistan to analyze employee retention practices, considering that employee turnover is a critical factor for organizations. Banks need to focus on Job Satisfaction, Organizational culture, and Training and Development to keep employees motivated within their organizations. The findings and results of the research can only be generalized to organizations operating in the banking sector in Pakistan. The study will not contribute to the whole Financial Sector of Pakistan; the focus was only on Pakistan's Commercial Banks. This research will assist in understanding the mere impact of employees and organization performance to maintain the manpower in Banks. This research will identify the reasons/issues involved in employee turnover in Commercial banks in Pakistan and get control over factors identified for employee turnover. The research related to HR practices in Pakistani commercial banks has focused on several constructs individually or in diverse combinations: which are: job satisfaction, career planning, organizational culture, training, and employee engagement. Moreover, research has extensively contributed to the assessment of the impact of the above-mentioned constructs on employee turnover, and similarly, research has significantly contributed to the analysis of the mediating role played by employee turnover in the relationship with organizational performance, offering insights for researchers, HR practitioners, and bank regulators
