SAA's Archiving the Archaeologists: Bill Lipe
SAA's "Archiving the Archaeologists" series is an oral history project designed to capture personal insights and recollections of archaeologists near retirement or already retired. Archaeologists interviewed in the series reflect on their careers, how and why they became archaeologists, and their contributions to the discipline. This series not only archives the words and images of senior archaeologists, but it also provides other archaeologists, avocationalists, students, and the public insight into what it is like to be an archaeologist in a particular time and place. The series "Archiving the Archaeologists" is funded by the Society for American Archaeology and is a project of the History of Archaeology Interest Group. In this interview, Bill Lipe discusses the Glen Canyon and Cedar Mesa Projects as well as his creer at Washington State University. WSU Organic Farm Newsletter, August 6, 2020
Farm News, August 6, 2020: We were excited about tomatoes last week but the excitement continues! The heat has REALLY brought on the harvest and we have options. Above is the line up. Clockwise from top left: Red Romas, Saladettes, Red Slicers, and Orange Romas. You can find all these at the Friday store and online. We do have the Red Romas in bulk quantities (10# box) and you can pre-order online. These romas are meaty, large, and do make great sauce for canning. They are versatile and a tasty tomato for slicing up for sandwiches or salsa, too

Farm News, September 2, 2020: The Roma tomatoes are finishing the summer strong and are available in bulk online or by email order. We had some customers take advantage of our box deals and get their pantries stocked with salsa and sauce for the winter. These romas are very meaty and process very well for both salsa and sauce. They are actually great for any occasion and we encourage folks to try them as a slicer. The bulk price is $1.60/ pound for 10 #'s and up. The online store lists them as 10# units but you can buy more. The boxes in the above picture have about 20#'s each. I suspect we will see production start to decrease in the next week so wanted to encourage anyone still wanting larger quantities to get their orders in soon
WSU Organic Farm Newsletter, September 16-17, 2020
Farm News, September 16, 2020: Why a picture of pumpkins? Well, it's a hopeful picture of what's to come! All the smoke this week has put a hold on much of our regular work as WSU has been closed to all students. We have done the minimum work each day to keep the farm operational but without our student crew it is difficult to have everything done as normal. We are NOT opening the online store this week due to lack of staffing. The forecast does look like things should improve by Friday. If the smoke has cleared enough we will open just the farm stand for regular walk-up sales. This will get posted Friday morning at the latest so you will know what we've decided based on the air quality and staff available to run the stand
