Advancements in Solar Thermochemical Reactors: Integrating Experimental Validation and Modeling Techniques for Enhanced Performance and Scalability
Solar thermochemical reactors offer a promising avenue for sustainable energy production, particularly in the realm of hydrogen generation. By leveraging concentrated solar radiation, these reactors facilitate high-temperature thermochemical processes for the production of clean fuels. In this study provides an overview of recent advancements in solar thermochemical reactor technology, emphasizing the integration of experimental validation and modeling techniques to enhance reactor performance and scalability. Key challenges, including achieving and maintaining high operating temperatures, material stability, and scalability, are discussed, along with methodologies for addressing these issues. The results and discussions highlight progress in novel thermochemical cycles, reactor designs, material development, and modeling approaches.
 
The Influence of Crankcase Oil Watering Content on the Operation of Diesel Locomotive Diesel Engines under Operating Conditions
The article is devoted to theoretical and experimental research on watering the crankcase oil of locomotive diesel engines and the development of recommendations for protecting these diesel engines from its harmful effects. A mathematical dependence of the diesel oil water-cut coefficient on the operating mode (loading) of diesel locomotives under operating conditions and differential equations for the water-cut intensity depending on the water concentration and the quantitative sodium content in diesel oil were obtained. A methodology has been proposed for the integral assessment of the water cut of diesel oil based on the quantitative presence of sodium in the oil under study, as well as a methodology for assessing the total water cut of diesel oil based on the sodium and lead content in this oil. The corresponding quantitative dependencies for the lead content in oil were obtained, taking into account the total amount of water that got into the oil and regression equation according to their definition for diesel locomotives TEP10 and 2TE10L. The established rejection criterion for the total water content of diesel oil for diesel engines of the D100 type is 1.5 percent. To protect diesel locomotive diesel engines from the harmful effects of crankcase oil watering, it is proposed to use filter elements made of polyvinyl-formal foam in diesel fine filters of type D100. It is recommended to continue these studies on a wider range of diesel locomotives of the locomotive fleet of «Uzbekistan Temir Yollari» JSC
Investigation of Alternative Species for Replacing Hydrogen in Methanation by Chemical Equilibrium Calculations
Recently, a methanation technology is gaining attention, where hydrogen and carbon dioxide are reacted to produce methane. However, hydrogen does not exist naturally, so having an alternative that can react with carbon dioxide opens up more options. In this study, equilibrium calculations of NASA-CEA were performed to investigate alternative species for replacing hydrogen. We selected 23 reactants of H2O, CH3OH, C2H5OH, NH3, CH3CN, CH3N2CH3, C3H8O(1-propanol), C3H8O(2-propanol), C2H6, C2H4, C3H8, C3H6, C3H4(allene), C3H4(propine), C6H5OH, (CH3COOH)2, HCOOH, HF, HCL, HBr, H2S, HNO3, and SiH4. Resultantly, suitable substances which produce more methane are C3H8, CH3N2CH3, and SiH4, but the amount of deposited graphite increases with the number of Cs in chemical formula. The maximum amount of methane is produced by SiH4. Under conditions of high carbon dioxide content, ammonia also shows a higher methane conversion rate than hydrogen, suggesting that SiH4 and ammonia are promising candidates to replace hydrogen
Heat Transfer Coefficients in a Metal-sorbent System for Heat Generation Stage Initiated by a pressure jump
Adsorption heat storage is a promising energy-saving technology that gives a possibility to make heat from alternative energy sources available to the consumer, as well as to use waste heat from industry and transport. To increase the efficiency of the adsorption heat accumulator, it is necessary to improve heat transfer in the sorbent-heat exchanger system. In this paper we consider a methodology for measuring the heat transfer coefficient of the metal-sorbent under real working conditions at the stage of the heat release initiated by a sharp change in pressure over the sorbent. The value of the heat transfer coefficient obtained for the flat layer of the granules placed on a metal plate was verified by measuring the power generated in a real heat exchanger under the same conditions.

Tilt Angle Effect on Natural Double-Diffusion Inside Tilted Square Enclosures Containing Non-Newtonian Power-Law Liquids
This study addresses the natural double-diffusion inside a tilted square enclosure containing non-Newtonian power-law liquids. The vertical sidewalls of the enclosure are subjected to solutal and thermal flux densities, whilst the other two boundaries are impermeable to mass transfer and adiabatic. The finite-difference technique was employed to achieve a numerical solution. The study presents and analyzes the inclination angle influence on mass and heat transfers for distinct values of power-law indexes. The findings reveal that as the tilt angle rises from 0° to 90°, there is a decrease in both mass and heat transfers. Conversely, as the angle increases from 90° to 180°, there is an observed increase in both mass and heat transfers

At the same time, such issues as improving methods for increasing the wear resistance of road milling machines, substantiating the indicators of their design and technological parameters, and modeling the work process are considered pressing issues
Methodology for Assessing the Efficiency of Transportation Works of Locomotives under Operating Conditions
An original method is presented for substantiating the energy efficiency indicators of locomotives for the actual, specifically formed and different from the calculated, conditions for organizing their transportation work along the route of rolling stock according to speed measurement tapes by averaging the mechanical work of the tangential traction of force of the locomotive and of the braking forces of the train. To implement the specified methodology and the algorithm for its execution, as well as to analyze the parameters of the energy indicators of locomotives of diesel traction, corresponding analytical expressions and graphical dependencies for deciphering speed measuring tapes are proposed. Analysis of the results of deciphering speed measurement tapes for diesel locomotives 2TE10L on one of the sections of the Uzbek railway, presented in the form of tabular data, confirms the correctness of what has been said and the possibility of obtaining completely objective information about the energy work of the locomotives under study for real conditions of organizing the operational activities of railways
The Body Unmatched: A Queer Therapist\u27s Experience with Engulfed Dysphoria
Engulfed by gender dysphoria? A feeling as if your body is other, wrong, mismatched, misconstructed, or visibly queer in the therapeutic milieu. Why does it feel overwhelming as a practicing queer art therapist to explore my own experience with gender even alongside gender-diverse clients? I find myself combing through those ruminating thoughts as depicted in my comic with the overwhelming amounts of slime taking over the composition–can the client tell? Can they see my dysphoria? The eating disorder that led to my experiences of this oozing effect of dysphoria? The restricting of calories to punish my body? How can I, the art therapist, be an expert on eating? “Eating healthy?” Body image? Exercise? Gender? Dysphoria? Euphoria? Will they still trust me if they knew? What if I can’t even accept my own body? Sharing similar experiences of living in a body that feels queer in the most literal sense – strange, odd, different – a struggle that might be a point of connection even across differences…I wonder: Should I disclose? Is that crossing a line? How can I navigate this ethical dilemma when the literature and professional discourse neglect to attend to these queer concerns?
In an attempt to depict this idea of gender dysphoria impacted by an eating disorder, I leaned into my artist identity as an art therapist by creating a comic using an oozing slime texture to engulf the disengaged figure in the comic. This slime, sticky and elastic in texture, represents the overwhelming thoughts of living in a body that sometimes feels and looks otherworldly to cis-normative bodies and ideals that conform to society. Slime captures the experience of a body feeling malleable, genderless, organic, and otherworldly. Slime often gets tied to language such as gross, weird, and strange, which historically gets tied to queer bodies. However, as a queer artist growing up in the nineties, the images of slime feel nostalgic, safe, and a recurring theme in my other artworks.
The comic intends to bring up, for the viewer, thoughts about how an artist and therapist experience their body both physically and mentally in the therapeutic space. In what ways do they perform gender? Succumb to gender norms? It invites queer therapists to give themselves grace in the therapy space and continue expressing their gender authentically while asking why it also often feels like an endless pursuit.
