Some existence and stability results for ψ-Hilfer fractional implicit differential equation with periodic conditions: ψ-Hilfer Fractional Implicit Differential Equation
In this paper, we study the class of boundary value problems for a nonlinear implicit fractional differential equation with periodic conditions involving a ψ-Hilfer fractional derivative. With the help of properties Mittag-Leffler functions, and fixed-point techniques, we establish the existence and uniqueness results, whereas the generalized Gronwall inequality is applied to get the stability results. Also, an example is provided to illustrate the obtained results.
Recurrence Decompositions in Finsler Space
Finsler geometry is a kind of differential geometry originated by P. Finsler. Indeed, Finsler geometry has several uses in a wide variety and it is playing an important role in differential geometry and applied mathematics of problems in physics relative, manual footprint. It is usually considered as a generalization of Riemannian geometry. In the present paper, we introduced some types of generalized -birecurrent Finsler space, generalized -birecurrent affinely connected space and we defined a Finsler space for Weyl's projective curvature tensor satisfies the generalized-birecurrence condition with respect to Cartan's connection parameters , such that given by the condition (\ref{2.1}), where is\ h-covariant derivative of second order (Cartan's second kind covariant differential operator) with respect to \ and ,\ successively, and are\ non-null covariant vectors field and such space is called as a generalized -birecurrent\ space and denoted briefly by - . We have obtained some theorems of generalized -birecurrent affinely connected space for the h-covariant derivative of the second order for Wely's projective torsion tensor , Wely's projective deviation tensor in our space. We have obtained the necessary and sufficient condition forsome tensors in our space
Common Writing Problems and Writing Attitudes among Freshman University Students in Online Learning Environments: An Exploratory Study
This paper is an exploratory study on college freshmen’s writing problems in relation to their attitudes towards writing in online learning environments. The writing problems that were explored were the following, as identified by Yates and Kenkel (2002): a) Surface writing problems and b) Global writing problems. The problems were found in the essays of the participants. In conjunction with the writing problems that were identified, attitudes towards checking and revising one’s work, towards writing, and towards receiving feedback on one’s writing were also identified through the writing attitude scale adopted from Erkan and Saban (2011) and was re-worded to suit the Philippine college context. The results of the study revealed that the majority of the writing problems were surface problems, particularly those related to verbs, nouns, and prepositions. As for writing attitudes, the participants of the study generally manifested positive attitudes towards writing
Pragmatic Hedges in Editorials: A Focus on Vanguard, Guardian and Sun Newspaper Editorials in 2017
Many studies have been carried out on the operations of hedges in different language discourse especially in scientific reports and academic writing. Amongst these studies, none has focused on the operations, functions and layout of hedges in Nigerian newspapers. It is on this basis therefor that the current study pays attention to the nature and pragmatic functions which hedges are deployed in Nigerian newspaper editorials. It is the academic gap which the present study unravels. The study used the categorisation of hedges provided by Salager Meyer (1994) as the theoretical framework. The study sampled six editorials each from the 2017 editorials of the Vanguard, Guardian and Sun newspapers, making a total of 18 editorials for analysis. At the end, the study present amongst other findings that the shield hedges are the more frequently used hedges in the newspaper editorials as all the newspapers used it. On the other hand, the study found out that no newspaper editorial used the compound hedge as there was none found in the sampled data
Internet Security Issues in Smart City Environment
The invention of IoT devices brings innovation to solve and control house hold devices. The demand of IoT devices like Google and Amazon Echo family has increased after their invention. New inventions may leave a lot of security flaws that must be resolved or addressed. Invention of IoT devices especially devices made for household become, pre vulnerable to many cyber-attacks leading to the leak of privacy. Recent literature revealed that IoT devices have both positive and negative sides. Leakage of privacy and protection lea people into troubles due to the Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
Survival Analysis of Python and R within the Job Market Trend
The market nowadays, due to the rapid changes happening in the technologies requires a high level of interaction between the educators and the fresher coming to going the market. The demand for IT-related jobs in the market is higher than all other fields, In this paper, we are going to discuss the survival analysis in the market of parallel two programming languages Python and R . Data sets are growing large and the traditional methods are not capable enough of handling the large data sets, therefore, we tried to use the latest data mining techniques through python and R programming language. It took several months of effort to gather such an amount of data and process it with the data mining techniques using python and R but the results showed that both languages have the same rate of growth over the past years
Certain investigations in the field of special functions
Motivated mainly by a variety of applications of Euler's Beta, hypergeometric, and confluent hypergeometric functions together with their extensions in a wide range of research fields such asengineering, chemical, and physical problems. In this paper, we introduce modified forms of some extended special functions such as Gamma function, Beta function, hypergeometric function and confluent hypergeometric function by making use of the idea given in reference \cite{9}. Also, certain investigations including summation formulas, integral representations and Mellin transform of these modified functions are derived. Further, many known results are obtained asspecial cases of our main results
CAPTURING THE FRAMES OF NEWS STORY LEADS IN PHILIPPINE DAILIES: A DISCOURSE ANALYSIS
Using 31 news leads found in news articles published in Philippines newspapers – three broadsheets and one tabloid – the present study describes the news leads’ organizational structure and identifies the shared cultural context evoked by the news leads. The analysis of the news discourse employed Bhatia’s (1993) genre analysis focusing on communicative purpose, and Simpson’s (2000) physical structure analysis. The study revealed that the genre of journalism, specifically the 31 news leads, fulfilled its main communicative purpose - which is to convey information - through Direct, Summary, or Conventional lead. The leads are characterized by brevity and directness with adherence to the ideal length consisting of 35-word limit in both broadsheet newspaper and tabloid newspaper. The result implied that writing pattern or written discourse is influenced by the culture of specific genre. The result manifested that Filipinos are capable of adaptation to rules in a particular genre. The study served as an avenue in finding out the conclusion that digressiveness, which is a characteristic of writings of Oriental writers, is not always evident in the discourse of newspaper compositions of Filipino writers. This study maybe helpful to researchers who wish to analyze culture through discourse analysis using a specific genre
Exploring negation in Awing
Negation is a universal category and languages differ in many respects in the way they express the latter (see Klima 1964). In this regards, some languages express sentential negation (a subcategorization of negation) with one marker (Dutch, German, English, etc.) while others like French uses two markers. Alongside markers used to express sentential negation, other items, among which Negative Polarity Items, mark negation and tight a particular element within its domain. In this paper, I aim at providing a picture of the expression of negation in Awing (a Bantu Grassfield langue of the Ngemba Group spoken in the North West region of Cameroon). Accordingly, sentential negation is expressed with two discontinuous markers kě…pô. One fact important to the presence of this negative marker is the movement of postverbal elements to a preverbal position turning the SVO structure in non-negative clause to an SOV pattern in negative clauses. In addition, the study describes other negative elements and negation subcategories. In last, the study of negative concord reveals that Awing belongs to the group of Strict Negative Concord (SNC) languages in which n-words must co-occur with negative marker to yield negation
A note on the qualitative behavior of some nonlinear local improper conformable differential equations
In this paper, we present two qualitative results concerning the solutions of nonlinear generalized differential equations, with a local derivative defined by the authors in previous works. The first result covers the boundedness of solutions while the second one discusses when all the solutions are in L
