Análisis integral de los flujos comerciales entre el Perú y China con miras a la firma de un acuerdo de alcance parcial
Trade and its role in economic development have been amongst Peru’s priorities since the country’s economic opening. Along this line, it is easy to understand Peru’s decision to start negotiations to establish trade preference agreements with its main trading partners. This research starts by presenting the scenario for potential trade negotiations between Peru and the People’s Republic of China. The analysis is based on a methodology integrating calculations of trade indicators and the design of tariff item classification and potential identification matrices. Our outcomes’ analysis allows identifying those goods that are actually taking advantage of present trade relations between Peru and China, and other goods that might take further advantage of more open markets once a trade agreement is reached between the two nations. In addition, our research allows preparing a ranking of product classifications taking account of those industries and products where Peru should focus during trade talks with China
Agencia moral de la empresa: el aporte del análisis causal aristotélico
The initial question about the ontological status of the corporation precedes the question about its moral status. The Aristotelian causes are constitutive principles of reality that infl uence each other reciprocally and which we apply to the enterprise to design its anatomy’s ontological structure. The corporation’s material cause is the capability its members have to associate. The formal intrinsic cause is its organization for producing and trading the goods man needs. The extrinsic formal or exemplary cause is the shared mental model. And the corporation’s fi nal cause is its mission. And the common good is the mediate end that gives it sense. The corporation is considered as an entity possessing a certain unity based in the order embodied in the plexus of internal-external relations of the corporation

Simplificación administrativa municipal ¿imposición o iniciativa propia?
In 2006, thanks to an international cooperation project, an administrative simplifi cation process was implemented in a Peruvian province municipality to evaluate and modify the stages for the issuance of operation permits. As this initiative was organized by the cooperating institution, access to information was not complete and this resulted in overlapped efforts, additional time investment, changes in the budget and, above all, some inaccuracies in the expected results, which were noticed at the end of the consultation process by the municipality’s own staff. This case will demonstrate the importance of taking into account the points of view of an organization’s members during the decision-making process, as this is the key to success in any change initiative

Cuidados veterinarios: ¿Atender aves, vacunos o mascotas?
Company dedicated to the import and marketing of veterinary products, owes most of its growth to the exclusive representation of the Tasmil brand, a world leader in animal health products. While the products might be geared at the poultry, cattle, pig, and pet sectors, currently 80% of the company’s sales are concentrated in the poultry market, which is the most organized livestock market in Peru, with the highest growth potential. The company wishes to continue growing, but it has already reached the limit in its traditional product line. Moreover, it faces liquidity restrictions due to the decreased turnover of some product lines aimed at the livestock sector. Finally, there is always the risk of loosing the Tasmil representation, or even worse, that Tasmil is attracted by the poultry market and decides to operate directly in the country
Persona ética y organización: hacia un nuevo paradigma organizacional
In many corporations, the importance of ethics does not go further than just good intentions. Philosopher Josef Pieper warned about this situation when he wrote about prudence, a virtue that is at the basis of outstanding management and thus, also of company ethics and corporate social responsibility, an issue included in the problem as there are many ways to understand its significance. However, before any consideration on the importance of company–social relationships or on the values and moral actions of organizations, we must bear in mind that the type of corporation depends on the type of individual we represent in our minds. Without an anthropological vision it is not possible to ascertain the actions of people in the corporation or their attitudes towards its goals. Our work will try to contribute a proposal in which the corporation is explained and organized from the point of view of the peopl
Integridad: respuesta superadora a los dilemas éticos del hombre de empresa
The various scandals that have shaken the corporate world have shown the need to analyze once again the ethic foundations of the corporation. It is not enough to issue a simple negative judgment; we must learn from failure and reflect on its causes. Why didn’t these companies fulfill their missions? What happened to their fundamental values? What happened to the personal convictions of their general managers, with their vision of the future, with their contributions for the country and the community? Experience shows that it is not enough to merely propose worthy goals, guiding values or policies in favor of the environment and the community. It is necessary that all these propositions originate in the personal convictions of each individual, so that each action will have a distinctive, personal mark. Integrity must be found in the center of each individual and corporation. This paper presents integrity as a superior concept amongst the values and virtues which are normally mentioned; it implies that management must adopt the enabling attitudes and abilities they need to carry out their work properly
Integración de la ética en la gestión de las personas y los medios para lograr la sostenibilidad del cambio
Ethics is a key concept in management, yet it’s meaning is reduced to signify just goodwill. Ethics must be an important part of management, as companies should take actions based on objective and conclusive principles. Activities related to ethics should be included in all areas of the company. This is an important omission not only because decisions and actions must be guided by sound and objective principles but also because of the multiple benefits deriving from sustained and consistent work aimed at including ethics as a field of management activities and which therefore deserves management’s time and aimed at including ethics in all areas of people management within organizations. This paper will address elements and criteria on how to include ethics in company management from a general perspective and how this can add social value to communities
