    No full text
The issues of global warming and the accumulation of hazardous waste, particularly plastic waste (18.55% of the national waste composition), demand serious commitment from Indonesia in achieving its Net Zero Emission target. This study focuses on Generation Z in West Java, the largest population segment with great potential as agents of change in sustainable consumption (Green Consumer Behavior or GCB). The objective is to analyze the influence of Environmental Awareness, Environmental Knowledge, Product Availability, and Environmental Policy on GCB, with the mediating role of Attitudes toward Environmentally Friendly Products. Using a quantitative causal research design, data were collected from 385 Gen Z respondents in 14 cities/districts in West Java and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that this model has a very high explanatory power, covering 92.7% of GCB variation. All direct and indirect hypotheses (H1–H13) were proven positive and significant. Environmental Knowledge was the most dominant factor shaping attitudes (path coefficient 0.475) and directly influencing GCB (path coefficient 0.352). A crucial finding confirms that Attitudes toward Environmentally Friendly Products play a significant psychological mediating role, bridging the influence of Awareness, Knowledge, Availability, and Policy toward green consumption behavior. These results underscore the urgency of improving environmental literacy and product availability as keys to encouraging Gen Z participation in plastic waste mitigation efforts in West Java

Public sector organizations play a vital role in providing public goods and services and ensuring transparency and accountability. However, there are significant challenges, as evidenced by West Java being ranked among the top three provinces with the highest number of public service complaints in 2022 (21 complaints). The 2023 pre-survey results show public dissatisfaction with service delivery, staff behavior, and complaint mechanisms. This highlights the urgent need to improve service ethics, empathy, and creativity in public services. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Organizational Reward, Knowledge-Oriented Leadership (KOL), Empathy Ethical Interaction (EEI), Creativity, and Organizational Performance (OP). Using explanatory research and the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, this study involved a sample of 262 Heads of Departments from 27 Regencies/Cities in West Java. The analysis results show that the model has a very high predictive power (Q² = 0.998), where exogenous variables explain 90.5% of OP variation. All eight hypotheses were significantly accepted. KOL proved to be a dominant factor, having the strongest influence on EEI (t = 5.285) and OP (t = 3.047). Crucially, EEI significantly influenced Creativity (t = 2.305) and Organizational Performance (t = 2.186), functioning as a mediating variable that strengthened the relationship between variables. In conclusion, EEI is a vital catalyst for bureaucratic creativity and innovative public performance, especially given the cultural diversity in West Java. An empathy- and ethics-based leadership approach will strengthen innovation and organizational effectiveness, ultimately accelerating the realization of good governance

Work can impact the balance between personal and professional life, especially when someone has to face long working hours and excessive workloads. In addition, increasing demands from work or family roles can also trigger conflicts between the work domain and personal life, which in turn can cause stress and even disrupt daily life stability. This study aims to examine the relationship between the variables Personality Traits, Technology, and Time Management on Work-Life Balance in Generation Z and Millennials, with the goal of gaining an understanding of how to improve life balance and create a healthy and productive work environment. This study was carried out using quantitative methods in the DKI Jakarta area to investigate the relationship between these three variables and the level of Work-Life Balance in both generations. A total of 220 respondents from various industry sectors in Indonesia participated by filling out questionnaires. The results show an R-Square value of 0.648 for the three variables (Personality Traits, Technology, and Time Management). The Technology variable had the most dominant influence with a coefficient of 0.906 (T = 13.411; p = 0.000), while Time Management had a negative influence with a coefficient of -0.143 (T = 2.681; p = 0.007), while Personality Traits had a very small and insignificant effect (T = 0.178; p = 0.859). Bootstrap Multigroup Analysis (MGA) with SmartPLS showed no significant difference between Millennials and Generation Z in the relationship between the variables tested. Work-Life Balance is determined by time management effectiveness and proportional technology use. Appropriate technology use can support work flexibility, but without good time management, it can cause fatigue and reduce an individual's well-being

    No full text
In modern agriculture, the convergence of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has emerged as a promising solution to address challenges related to crop management, fertilizer optimization, and plant disease detection. This paper presents an integrated system that leverages IoT sensors, AI algorithms, and machine learning models to provide comprehensive support for farmers in making informed decisions regarding crop cultivation. The proposed system comprises three main components: crop recommendation, fertilizer suggestion, and plant disease detection. Firstly, utilizing IoT sensors deployed in the fields, environmental data such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and nutrient levels are continuously monitored and collected. This data is then fed into AI algorithms to analyze the optimal conditions for various crops. Based on historical data, weather forecasts, and crop characteristics, the system generates personalized crop recommendations for farmers, taking into account factors such as soil type, climate, and market demand. Secondly, the system provides intelligent fertilizer suggestions tailored to the specific needs of each crop and soil condition. By analyzing soil nutrient levels, crop growth stages, and environmental factors, AI algorithms determine the appropriate type and amount of fertilizer required to maximize yield while minimizing environmental impact and input costs. This dynamic approach to fertilizer management aims to enhance nutrient utilization efficiency and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Thirdly, the system incorporates AI-based image processing techniques for early detection and diagnosis of plant diseases. High-resolution images of crop leaves captured by IoT-enabled cameras are analyzed using deep learning models trained on extensive datasets of diseased and healthy plants. By identifying visual symptoms and patterns associated with various diseases, the system provides timely alerts to farmers, enabling proactive disease management strategies such as targeted spraying and crop rotation. Overall, the integration of IoT and AI technologies offers a powerful framework for optimizing crop production, improving resource efficiency, and mitigating the risks associated with pest and disease outbreaks. Through real-time monitoring, data-driven insights, and proactive interventions, the proposed system empowers farmers to achieve higher yields, reduce input costs, and contribute to sustainable agriculture practices
