Full text linkDuring its first 100 years in the Mexican Nation, the Jews have mantained a communitary structure that has preserved it ́s ancestral identity and at the same time has integrated many elements of the Mexican culture. The religious dimension, in the past central in Judaism and Jewish identity, shares nowadays it ́s importance with culture, nationalism and ideology. This paper studies the structure of theMexican-Jewish community since the arrival of the first inmigrants in the early 20th century untill today, and the development of a new identity, that of the Mexican-Jew.Durante sus primeros cien años en la nación mexicana, los judíos han mantenido una estructura comunitaria que preserva su identidad ances- tral y, a la vez, integra numerosos elementos de la cultura mexicana. La dimensión religiosa, otrora central en la identidad judía, comparte en la actualidad su importancia con cultura, nacionalismo e ideología.Este trabajo estudia las estructuras de la comunidad judía desde el arribo de los primeros inmigrantes en los inicios del siglo xx hasta la actualidad, y la gestación de una nueva identidad, la judeo-mexicana
