La “furor poetica”, A Manifestation of Autism Spectrum Disorders? The Case of the Poetic Writing of Simon-Gabriel Bonnot

    No full text
This contribution proposes to analyze the way in which the poet Simon-Gabriel Bonnot, suffering from ASD-HPI, expresses his hypersensitivity, whatever the meaning requested. The abnormally developed acuity with which Simon-Gabriel Bonnot feels his environment can constitute, for the reader without disturbance of this nature, a kind of initiation into the carnal properties of the world. This extreme sensual experience goes hand in hand, in the poet, with the painful anguish of life and death. In other words, I postulate that what appeared to the Ancients as a possession by the Muses (the “furor poetica”) can be understood today as the result of a permanent state caused by a particular cerebral activity, in the occurrence that caused by ASD-HPI.Cette contribution se propose d’analyser la manière dont le poète Simon-Gabriel Bonnot, atteint de TSA-HPI, exprime son hypersensibilité, quel que soit le sens sollicité.

Reality by Quentin Dupieux Aesthetic Panoply of Madness in Cinema

    No full text
The movie Reality by Quentin Dupieux exploits the resources of cinematographic expression to bring the experience of madness to its spectator. Through a surrealist comedy in the world of cinema, the French director deploys several aesthetic strategies to embody in the image the delirium that invades his main character. A mixture of humor (absurd and nonsense), causes a disruption of the fictional mechanics. The Story becomes unstable. Then, with his criticism of the cinematographic institution, who drives mad with his dreams of glory, the film shows that madness is not only a particular relationship between the individual and himself. Finally, the construction of the scenario lets the spectator immerse himself in the film without any particular effort, while a multitude of incoherent elements accumulate as the story progresses. In these conditions, the spectator is available to analyze what happens to the main character, and find an explanation for certain disturbingly strange events. Thus, Reality also drives its spectator mad, in search of a deliberately missing meaning from the events that spring here and there.

The Figure of the Mad Painter in the 19th Century Novel Oscillation between Genius and Madness

    No full text
The article proposes to explore the theme of madness of grandeur which engenders madness in its pathological sense in artists and especially in the character painter in the novel of the 19th century.  The novelists stage the figure of the painter and study it from different angles.  One of these studies presents this character sometimes as a genius and sometimes as a madman.  It is about the talented painter but subjected to a creative force which devours him little by little, pushes him to always seek the ideal and to claim to give birth to a perfect and sublime work.  This artistic passion translates into a frenzy that viscerally inhabits the artist and destines him to a tragic end : the inevitable consequence of the alliance between genius and madness that cannot be distanced from each other.  Frenhofer, the painter of Balzac in the fiction Le Chef-d’œuvre inconnu (1831) and Claude Lantier, hero of L’Œuvre (1886) by Zola are the faithful representatives of this typology of ingenious artists who sink into madness ; because victims of an obsession and an overflowing creative passionL’article propose d’explorer la thématique de la folie de grandeur qui engendre la folie dans son sens pathologique chez les artistes et surtout chez le personnage peintre dans le roman du XIXe siècle.

This article aims to analyze the forms of discursivities of self-glorification as a manifestation of identity withdrawal. It is in a pragmatic perspective that it fits in particular in the first two degrees. By studying this question from top to bottom, it emerges that the socio-political context of the country, marked by multiple elections, favors its resurgence and this is manifested by a self-glorification of oneself marked by discursive clues, which self-glorification aims to present oneself to others as being the best and deserving of national delightsLe repli identitaire est devenu un phénomène viral dans les réseaux sociaux numériques au Cameroun, Facebook en particulier.
