Kateb Yacine Architect of Subversive Africanitis Literature and Decolonization in Action
Does this research, articulated around the problem:how does Kateb Yacine’s work embody a Pan-African vision, both literary and political, going beyond the boundaries of Algeria to embrace the struggles and imaginations of the continent? , reveals that the author transformed literature into a revolutionary act, merging innovative aesthetics and decolonial com-mitment. The analysis demonstrates how Kateb builds a “subversive Africa-nity” through linguistic hybridity (Nedjma), a reinvented Algerian orality, and a fragmented narrative structure, radically breaking with colonial codes. Its use of French as “booty of war” and its use of popular theater in dialect Arabic (Darija) and Tamazight are decrypted as weapons of cultural resistance, aimed at including marginalized masses.
By going beyond the categories of littératurophobie (rejection of literature) and littératurolâtrie (cult of the text), Kateb embodies literature, where writing becomes political action. His work draws a rhizome Africa, a space of intertwined memories and solidarity revolts, connecting the Maghreb to sub -Saharan Africa, Algeria to Vietnam. This literary and militant cartography still inspires contemporary struggles for emancipation, social movements (Endsars, Feesmustfall) in Afrofuturism. The study confirms that the heritage of Kateb Yacine, far from being a simple historic vestige, remains an open site for future decolonials of Africa and the world, where literature and revolution continue to feed each other.
Literaturocide Foundations and Markers to Understand a Threat in Perspective
As a personal reflection, this contribution is part of a research project on a paradigm that could be a scientific trigger. It is indeed a possible study on the use of the term “literaturocide”, a counterpart to the terms “literaturophilia”, “literaturolatry” and “literaturophobia”. Based on the existence of a constantly evolving literature, we thought of making our contribution to be able to subsequently debate the different notions that we have just mentioned in a context that is both purely scientific and specifically academic. We therefore insist on field surveys that are likely, initially, to allow us to calmly approach such a subject that has been close to our hearts for years already. This is why we have focused extensively on the various definitions whose “accuracy” poses problems, in order to subsequently encourage an inter-university debate on the four key concepts encountered in the sphere of general literature.

The Identity-Accent A Factor in the Hierarchization of Dominated Varieties
The process of expressing its affiliation to a linguistic community sharing the same norms (linguistic, cultural, etc.) could be very well expressed through the accent. In this case, it would be more appropriate to speak about an identity-accent: an accent that performs as an identity marker. This hypothesis is established in the context of a study concerning the Laghouati accent (an Algerian variety of academic Arabic), which considers the latter a factor in the hierarchy of varieties in contact, which are established in what we call horizontal power relations. The verification of this hypothesis is carried out through two sociolinguistic surveys which question the representa-tions/attitudes of the Laghouati speakers on several aspects of their variety and the other varieties in contact. The results of these surveys showed that the accent could in fact transcend its linguistic limits and play a fundamental role in the description of the concepts of identity (individual and/or collective) and linguistic communityL’acte de manifester son appartenance à une communauté linguistique partageant les mêmes normes (linguistiques, culturelles, etc.) pourrait très bien s’exprimer à travers l’accent.
