Get PDFThe study aims to examine the effectiveness of the XGBoost regression algorithm andcompare it with the Random Forest (RF) algorithm, the Support Vector regression (SVR)algorithm, and the Deep Neural Networks (DNN) algorithm to predict car prices in the UnitedKingdom, the study found that the Random Forest (RF) algorithm is appropriate and effective foraccurately estimating car prices, and therefore can be relied upon to improve and rationalizedecisions of car buyers and seller, This conclusion is based on the RF algorithm achieving thehighest coefficient of determination (R²) of 95.90 % and the lowest Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE) of 1946.07, compared to the XGBoost regression algorithm, the Support Vector regression(SVR) algorithm, and the Deep Neural Networks (DNN) algorithm.Keywords: Data mining; XGBoost regression algorithm; Random Forest (RF) algorithm; SupportVector regression (SVR) algorithm; Deep Neural Networks (DNN) algorith

Get PDFThis study aims to understand the role that Information and Communication Technology(ICT) plays in supporting marketing creativity at the Algerie Telecom Corporation in Ouargla. Theimportance of this study lies in identifying the relationship between ICT and marketing creativitywithin the institution. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and a purposive sampleof 50 employees was selected، the hypotheses were tested using statistical methods provided by theSPSS_23 program, relying on means, standard deviations, correlation coefficients, and regressionanalysis، the study found variations in the dimensions of ICT in terms of their priorities. the resultsalso showed a strong positive correlation (82.9%) between the ICT dimensions (hardware andsoftware, information systems and databases, communication networks, and requirements for usingICT) and the dimensions of marketing creativity (research and development, marketing informationbase, and work environment). The study concluded that ICT plays a significant role in enhancingmarketing creativity within the organization
Impact of Organizational commitment as a mediating variable in the relationship between leadership style and job performance: an empirical study on the employees of Meghlaoua Hospital in Mila
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to study the effect of leadership style on job performancethrough the mediating role of organizational commitment. For the purpose, four hypotheses weredeveloped; the first three predicted positive relationships between leadership, organizationalcommitment and job performance and the last one suggested the mediating effect of organizationalcommitment. 86 employees in the hospital of Meghlaoua in Mila were surveyed. Using spss23 andAmos21, the results of the study supported all the hypotheses. Accordingly, leadership style had apositive impact on job performance; leadership style had a positive impact on organizationalcommitment; organizational commitment had a positive impact on job performance whenleadership style was controlled. The strength of the relation between leadership style and jobperformance was significantly reduced when organizational commitment was added to the model,suggesting the mediating role of organizational commitment. In the light of the findings, it issuggested that merely positive relationship between leadership style and job performance may notautomatically lead an employer to achieve the outcome-job performance. Therefore, the secret ofsuccess lies in improving organizational commitment through solutions to enhance leadership style,thereby increase job performance

Get PDFThis study explores the argumentative dimension in al-Ṣubḥ al-Munbi ʿan Ḥaythiyyat al-Mutanabbi by ʿAbd Allāh al-ʿAlawī, one of the prominent contemporary critical works that engages with the figure and poetry of al-Mutanabbi in a deeply analytical and dialectical style. The research falls within the scope of pragmatic studies that integrate linguistic and intellectual approaches. It applies the theory of integrated pragmatics and the argumentative scale to trace the manifestations of linguistic argumentation in the text.The study is structured into a preamble introducing the book and its author, followed by a theoretical chapter addressing the essence of argumentation, its core concepts, and the key tools of pragmatic analysis such as argumentative connectors and the argumentative scale. The second, applied chapter examines the expressions of argumentation in the book, focusing on the use of argumentative connectors and factors in constructing persuasive discourse—whether through affirmation, negation, preference, or rebuttal of opposing views.The research concludes that al-ʿAlawī constructed his critical discourse on a conscious argumentative foundation, employing pragmatic connectors and strategies effectively. This positions his work as a rich model of argumentative literary criticism in contemporary Arabic literature
Grammar and Polyphony From Ibn Makkī’s Tathqīf al-Lisān to Modern Readings of Laḥn al-ʿĀmma Literature
Get PDFAbstract: As the sole grammatical treatise and historiographicalsource for medieval Sicilian Arabic, Tathqīf al-Lisān wa-Talqīḥ al-Janān,authored by Ibn Makkī al-Ṣiqillī (d. 501/1107–8), has occupied a centralposition in the history of Laḥn al-ʿĀmma literature and Arabic linguistics ingeneral. And yet modern scholars did not register enough of the underlyingassumptions about language internal to Ibn Makkī’s methodology and logic.In this paper, I argue that his methodological insistence on cataloging themultiple grammars of spoken, dialectical Arabic reflects a recognition of theintrinsically diachronous and polyphonic nature of Arabic. Resisting aconception of language as static and normative, Ibn Makkī refrains fromlabeling spoken expression as categorically “incorrect.” This paper firststudies the methodological shift in Tathqīf al-Lisān from a prescriptive to adescriptive approach to language centered on linguistic polyphony. Fromthe formal organization in Tathqīf al-Lisān to its various methodologicalinnovations, this article attempts to address significant shortcomings inmodern scholarship on this grammatical treatise. Ultimately this paper readsthe Tathqīf al-Lisān not merely as a repository of Sicilian Arabic semanticor morphological data, but rather as a milestone in the history ofmethodologies in premodern writings on Laḥn al-ʿĀmma
