    Evaluating the Efficiency of the Financial Performance of Algerian Economic Institutions Using Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) - A Case Study of a Sample of Algeria Petroleum Institutions during the period (2010-2016)

    The objective of this study is to attempt to assess the efficiency of the financial performance of Algerian oil companies by measuring the relative efficiency for a sample composed of 8 oil institutions in Algeria during the study period (2010-2016) where we applied the Data Development Analysis (DEA) method with its two models :constant returns and variable returns with input orientation (CCR-I), and the study variables were :6 inputs (assets, value added, production, investor capital, employee expenses, operating costs) and 6 outputs reflect some of the traditional and modern financial performance indicators (rate of return on assets, rate of return on equity, sales rate of return, market value added, economic value added, investments returns), in order to achieve the results of the study, we relied in our research on the SIADV.3.0 and 25SPSS programs, and the results of the study showed that one oil company achieved full efficiency and 7 oil institutions did not achieve efficiency due to the existence of unused resources (defects), that is, untapped capacities.Therefore, the improvements needed to reduce inputs and increase outputs of inefficient institutions must be introduce

    This research based on the measurement of the achieved performance by several sectors,of different activities.These sectors belong to the public and private, and here the following problematic was raised:What is the efficiency level of the performance of public and private sectors in some economicactivity sectors in Algeria?This research was based on the Data Envelopment Analysis Model, which is a method based on thelinear programming to estimate the maximum limits of the performance, and then measuring thedegree of relative effectiveness of a group of decision- making units by depending on a set of itsinputs and outputs.The research has found that the two sectors, are nearly similar in the performance; because theactivity sectors that suffer from inefficiency and ineffectiveness (decrease in the level ofperformance), represent the largest part in the activity sectors, in both legal sectors.However, it should be noted that some activity sectors, achieved a high degree of efficiency and agood performance in the private sector compared to the public sector.The efficiency vary among the other activity sectors.     The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that determine the selection of accountingmethods according to the financial accounting system in Algeria Where this study examines thedecisions of managers to choose the accounting strategy from the perspective of positiveaccounting using the data of 88 Algerian stockholder companies for the year 2019-2020.Where the determinants were identified and represented in each of the: bonus managementsystems, leverage, taxes, company size, degree of conservatism, the opinion of the auditor,accounting conventionWe use a multiple regression model that was constructed using the least-squares method clarifyingthe economic and environmental determinants affecting the selection of Algerian shareholdingcompanies for their accounting policies.The research showed that the environmental determinants of the degree of conservatism, and theopinion of the auditor were the most influential in the decisions of selecting Algerian shareholdingcompanies for their accounting strategy as for the economic determinants, the research has proventhe existence of some of them with different effects from previous studies.The research also confirmed the launch of the project to the actualization of the financialaccounting system must rely on the positive approach to interpreting accounting practices in theenvironment of Algerian institutions as an aid approach to building accounting standards that fit theAlgerian environment

In order to achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive approach was relied on through the academic and theoretical framing of the subject of the study. This gave rise to, the foundations of the research problem, which called the researchers to resort to the analytical method in order to analyse the data obtained by preparing a questionnaire. After analysing the results of the research, we came to the conclusion that the the “halal” label on the product has an effect on the consumer’s behaviour, we also came to note the exploitation of the marketing function for the value of Islamic religious faith for commercial purposes through the concept of "halal product"

    Examining the causal relationship between the Saudi stock market (TASI) and Oil prices

    This study examines the existence of a causal relationship between the Saudi stockmarket and Oil prices (Brent oil, WTI crude oil, OPEC basket prices). Saudi Arabia is OPEC’slargest oil producer. Using a daily dataset covering the period from 2 January 2019 to 30 March2022, we find that most studies show oil price volatility transmits to stock market volatility. Weused the co-integration approach of Johansen-Juselius (1990) and the causality test ( Granger,1969, Sims,19972).
