No full textPalermo wurde zwischen 800 und 1200 mehrfach von religiösen und politischen Expansionen erfasst. Ihre vielschichtigen Auswirkungen auf die Stadt stellt diese Studie heraus, indem sie die Transformationen urbaner Räume unter muslimischer und christlicher Herrschaft analysiert. Der gewählte Fokus gewährt neue Einblicke in lokale gesellschaftliche Aushandlungsprozesse, denen im (zentralen) Mittelmeerraum auch überregional große Bedeutung zukommt.Tra l’800 e il 1200 Palermo fu toccata diverse volte da ondate di espansione religiosa e politica. Il presente studio ne traccia le molteplici ripercussioni sulla città, analizzando le trasformazioni degli spazi urbani avvenute sotto il dominio musulmano e cristiano. Tale approccio apre nuove prospettive sui processi locali di negoziazione sociale che sono tanto significativi nello spazio mediterraneo (centrale) anche a livello sovraregionale.The city of Palermo underwent several waves of religious and political expansion in the period 800 to 1200 AD. This study highlights the multiple effects on the city by analysing the transformation of urban spaces under Muslim and Christian rule. The chosen approach offers new insights into local social negotiating processes, which are very significant in the (central) Mediterranean region, also from a supra-regional perspective
