    No full text
Data security issues are an important aspect of data and information communication over networks. In addition, it is also necessary to look at the security side of the software. In addition to software, computers have an internet protocol in the form of HTTP which is commonly used to access websites. On the LMS website, students have access to lecture materials, discussion forums with lecturers and access to assignments given by lecturers. Wireshark is used to analyze network protocols, can log all packets going through and display detailed data. The purpose of this study is to use a Wireshark application to sniff LMS and pinpoint vulnerabilities in the system. The results of the sniffing process carried out using Wireshark on an LMS that uses the HTTP protocol clearly indicate the absence of encryption and expose the risk of vulnerabilities to the system. Recommendations given to LMS are the use of HTTPS protocol, implementation of Multi Factor Authentication, website log monitoring and password management. Recommended password management are periodic password changes, standardization policies for the use of characters in passwords and password hashing. It is hoped that when the recommendations are implemented it will improve security on the LMS website and reduce risks in data communication

    Get PDF
In agriculture and plantations, the land is an important thing, but sometimes the soil needs to be measured for its fertility, so measuring instruments are used. In this study, the authors tried to collect data for measuring using the Backpropagation method to determine the prediction of fertility in the soil. The backpropagation method is used to predict and also Backpropagation is a Neural Network algorithm. In using this method, input is a sensor that will take data in the form of soil moisture, pH when wet, and pH when dry, followed by this method which processes the data to be generated. The results of research with the Backpropagation algorithm get 80% accuracy of the 10 test data used for test results. The results tested initially were not as expected but with several trials, it was almost as expected but needed to be further developed. With the hope that there are people who can develop better for more knowledge and hopefully it can be useful for more. The suggestion in this is for readers who want to develop their suggestions to collect more data from this research to get more satisfying results. If the data is not more efficient, more efficient or accurate methods or means of data collection are expected to be used

The presence of the Corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has changed the order in all corners of the world in a very short time. This large-scale change has occurred in the last two years starting from 2019 until now. This has resulted in the world of education experiencing major changes in the teaching and learning process. The learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic (online) is very much different from the previous learning process (face to face). This is a big problem in the world of education. The online learning policy, which was thought to be the solution to this problem, turned out to be just a bridge to break the passion for learning for students. evidenced by the impact felt by students during online learning. The satisfaction of online learning by Prima Indonesia University students can be seen from the results of the keosener (google form) that the researcher has distributed to 501 students. Researchers use data mining to explore important information that is expected to be used as consideration for enforcing the current online learning process. Researchers use the C 4.5 Algorithm method in data mining in order to bring out the impact of online learning. Measurement of satisfaction level is done by calculating the Entropy and Gain of each data that becomes a Decision tree and testing the results using Rapid Miner. The C 4.5 algorithm is very helpful for researchers to find out the impact of online learning carried out during the covid 19 pandemic. From the results of calculations and testing, it shows that there is a decrease in student interest in learning in the online learning process. this concludes that online learning in the pandemic era has a negative impact on students at Prima Indonesia University

    Get PDF
Banks are institutions and institutions that are organizations and institutions in Indonesia and have an important role in the sustainability of the Indonesian economy. Bank Mandiri is one of the banks that provides micro business credit facilities to the business world. The higher the public's interest in getting micro business credit, the banks need software to help determine who is entitled to credit. In order to produce a proper feasibility analysis, a method of decision-making in overcoming these problems is needed so that determining who is entitled to receive credit is not too long and efficient in reducing credit risk. Problems arise in the decision-making process for granting micro-business loans, namely the inaccuracy of micro-business credit recipients. The above problems can be resolved by building a Decision Support System which can assist decision makers in assessing and selecting micro business loans using variables: Income, Collateral, Loan Limit, Installments, Length of Business, Number of Dependents. The system built by applying the Simple Additive Weighting method is known as the method of adding weight. The Simple Additive Weighting method requires a decision matrix normalization process  to a scale that can be compared with all available alternative ratings. This will be a reference in ranking and consider the advantages and disadvantages of applying for a credit loan in order to find the desired candidate. From the test results using 10 data samples, it was obtained that the first rank was received credit on behalf of A5 with a value of 9.33, and the last rank was on behalf of A6 with a value of 6.4. and very helpful in solving problems faced by Bank Mandiri Pematangsiantar

Design of captive portal LAN with redundancy connections

    Get PDF
Captive portal networks are in great demand because users have privileged authentication in the form of usernames and passwords to enter the LAN network without having to share with other users. However, the captive portal network is difficult to implement redundant connection because it must be in the form of a ring topology and the application of a bridge network. Captive portal is a web page for the authentication process to enter the network where the authentication back end can use radius, kerberos, ldap with the AAA framework. Meanwhile, fault tolerance is a redundant connection mechanism as an alternative path provider if the main path is broken. Here there is a tiered mechanism so that fault tolerance can be implemented into the captive portal network. This study describes the process of designing a captive portal network starting from analyzing, conceptualizing and finally designing the network itself. The final result of this research is 2 pieces of redundancy connection network design to the captive portal framework

    Get PDF
Digital identifier is a technology used to prove ownership of a work. At this time, the Digital Object Identifier is a form of implementation of the digital identifier used in every scientific work. Not infrequently there are several cases of theft of ownership or copyright of a work, both scientific works, and certain other works. Watermarking is a technique created to protect the ownership of works. Watermarking techniques can be applied to several media such as audio, video, and also documents, one of which is the Portable Document Format document file. In this study, researchers want to build copyright protection for scientific works. Researchers offer research concepts using a Digital Object Identifier which is always installed on scientific papers to be published. The Digital Object Identifier will later become the basic data in building the Quick Response Code. The Digital Object Identifier of each scientific work will not be the same as each other, this will certainly make the Quick Response Code more unique. The results show that the watermarking process in building copyright protection of scientific works can be very successful Quick Response Code can be read and detected properly without experiencing lag time. Quick Response Code readings from several variations of motion are also not very influential, so it can be concluded that distance does not limit the detection of Quick Response Codes. From this research, researchers can deduce that the watermark is performed on the scientific work not only serves as the copyright protection of that scientific paper but can also be an alternative for other researchers to access the scientific work

Security Analysis and Improvement of Lighweight VANET Authentication Protocol (Case Study : Zhao et al. LVAP)

    Get PDF
VANET is an ad-hoc network implemented on vehicle communication to ensure traffic safety and traffic management efficiency. VANET security is a concern because of various vulnerabilities, especially from authentication criteria that the attacker can exploit. VANET is vulnerable to Sybil attack, entity impersonation, message modification, and identity falsification. Several mechanisms and protocols have been developed to address these vulnerabilities. The design of the VANET authentication protocol also needs to be proven using formal methods to ensure that the protocol meets the required security criteria.  In this research, the security of VANET authentication protocol developed by Zhao et al. was analyzed using the Datta et al. security protocol analysis method. Instead of BAN Logic, the Scyther tool was used to verify security claims and find possible attacks. Our Security analysis results show that Zhao et al.'s protocol does not meet confidentiality and entity authentication criteria. Scyther tool can find attacks on nonce confidentiality and man-in-the-middle attack. Therefore, we modify Zhao et al. protocol by adding signature and session key confirmation to improve its security. Based on analysis results, our modified Zhao et al. authentication protocol met confidentiality and entity authentication criteria. The use of signature and session key confirmation prevents man-in-the-middle attack and protects nonce confidentiality. Therefore, our research concludes that modified Zhao et al. authentication protocol more secure than the original protocol in terms of nonce and session key confidentiality, aliveness, weak agreement, non-injective agreement, and non-injective synchronization

    Get PDF
The biggest problem faced by printing companies during the Covid-19 pandemic was that the number of orders was unstable and tends to decrease, which had the potential to harm the company. Therefore, various appropriate marketing strategies were needed so that the number of product orders was relatively stable and even increases. The impact was that the company could survive and continued to grow. This study aimed to assist company managers in developing appropriate marketing strategies based on association rules generated from one of the data mining methods, namely the Frequent Pattern Growth (FP-Growth) method. The case study of this research was a printing company where there was no similar research that used a printing company's dataset. This study produced nine association rules that meet a minimum of 25% support and a minimum of 60% confidence, but only two association rules that had a high positive correlation, namely for a custom paper bag and banner products. Therefore, several marketing strategies were suggested that could be used as guidelines for companies in managing sales packages and giving special discounts on a product. The results of this study are expected to trigger an increase in the number of product orders because this study tried to find the right product for consumers and did not try to find the right consumers for a product
