    Get PDF
The paper introduces the possibility of use of Artificial Intelligence in the whole claim settlement process on insurance companies’ vehicle claims. A fully automated vehicle claim settlement needs to develop the automatic liability check of the accident, which is now only made by human experts. The main points of this article are the main directions of the possible future development, such as to recognize the traffic situation, and to make a proper accident reconstruction

In this paper the authors are focusing on Jean Nouvel, a significant member of the French architect society. The aim of this research was to analyse the most remarkable elements of the architect’s life’s work: what kind of notable results he created, what ideas did he apply, etc. The authors tried to make a comparison between the design ways of architecture and mechanical engineering

Investigating Collagen as a Bio-Material by Molecular Dynamics Simulations

    Get PDF
In this work, molecular dynamics simulation is used to describe and analyze the behavior of model collagen polymer (Pro-Pro-Gly)9. This project aims to highlight the important role of molecular dynamic simulation in determining the structural stability of collagen, and establishing collagen as a hydrophobic or hydrophilic protein under different temperatures. The system was simulated at four different temperatures (300, 310, 320, and 330 K). The results indicate that the average number of hydrogen bonds within the protein and the protein backbone was similar at each temperature. The solvent-accessible surface area of hydrophobic and hydrophilic atoms for the four temperatures indicates that the collagen model peptide is mostly hydrophobic. All the results show that the structure of the studied polymer was the least stable at 320 K and the most stable at lower temperatures (300 K). The average effect across the first 100 ns was investigated. The dominant states obtained within this time interval will be explored in following studies. Researchers can use the results of this work to develop collagen with the appropriate thermal stability for biological applications

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF REMNANT SURFACES MAPPED USING TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL METHODS IN THE BOGÁCS-CSERÉPFALU BASIN PILOT AREA

Mapping remnant surfaces is essential in geomorphologic research because it allows us to deduce the surface-forming processes. Compared to the traditional methods, the suggested GIS-based method is an effective, faster, and more objective way of geomorphological mapping. However, the prerequisites of the applicability and reliability of the GIS method have not been fully examined yet. The study compared the results of traditional and GIS-based geomorphological mapping in a pilot area by analyzing the histograms of absolute and relative elevation and the slope conditions of remnant surfaces. It can be concluded that despite its errors, the GIS-based method yielded satisfactory results, showing the locations of these remnants similarly to the traditional map

Súlytalan büntetés? – néhány gondolat a végrehajtásában felfüggesztett szabadságvesztésről

    Get PDF
In the system of sanctions, in the last few decades the significance of alternative sanctions that replace imprisonment has increased. Known as a form of suspended sentencing, technically suspended imprisonment is a popular alternative sanction in the Hungarian sanctioning system. The judge, however, may often face the issue that suspension itself seems to have become imponderous, even more that the convicted themselves look at it as if they “got away with it”. This paper aims to explore the practicalities of this legal institution, besides offering the possible proposals to solve this problem.A büntető szankciórendszerekben az utóbbi évtizedekben megnövekedett a szabadságvesztést helyettesítő alternatív szankciók jelentősége. A feltételes elítélés egyik formájaként ismert, végrehajtásában felfüggesztett szabadságvesztés is egy népszerű alternatív szankció büntetőjogunkban. Az ítélkező bíró ugyanakkor gyakran szembesülhet azzal, hogy önmagában a felfüggesztett szabadságvesztés súlytalan büntetésnek tűnik, sőt maguk az elítéltek is úgy tekintenek rá, hogy felfüggesztettel „megúszták” a bűncselekmény elkövetését. A tanulmány a jogintézmény gyakorlatban való működését kívánja feltárni, valamint a fent említett problémának szeretne utánajárni, lehetséges megoldási javaslatokat is felsorakoztatva

A jogi személyekkel szembeni fellépés büntetőjogi lehetőségei – Egy sajátos felelősségi forma és bírósági gyakorlata

    Get PDF
Intervention against legal entities often propose many, given occasion for argue questions. At all is it needed to regulate with means of criminal law, how deep it should be, etc. Does this specific form of responsibility preserve accesorial nature on all occasion? Nowadays, our modern, civilized and quickly changing world it coud not be declared categorically. That is sure, it is needed to regulate more and more circumstantially the responsibility of legal entities. There is a question we have to ask: What is the legal entity? - Or rather Who is the legal entity?A jogi személyekkel szembeni fellépés számos, vitára okot adó kérdést vet föl. Mi a jogi személy? - Vagy inkább, ki a jogi személy

Although the Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters has been in force for more than seven years, many questions on its application are still being raised before the Court of Justice of the European Union. This paper describes the most important decisions of the Court of Justice in relation to the interpretation of the Regulation with reference to its scope and jurisdiction rules, especially the special and exclusive jurisdiction rules in case of contractual and tort law cases.

Child marriages - yesterday, today, tomorrow?

Child marriage is a formal or informal union involving a child or person under the age of 18. It is currently associated with violations of human rights, particularly the rights of children. The consequences of child marriage are long-term and relate to gender equality, health, and education, among others. Therefore, efforts are being made in national and international jurisdictions to eliminate harmful (traditional) practices. While individual countries have raised the marriageable age to 18, many still allow exceptions. Slovenia is one such example. In this article, the author analyzes the approach to the abolition of child marriage at the international and comparative law levels and is particularly critical of the current Slovenian regime. Child marriage is a formal or informal union involving a child or person under the age of 18. The Commission is responsible for investigating cartel law violations and imposing fines on companies. The investigations are carried out in an administrative procedure in which the facts of the case must be investigated in compliance with the rule of law. Here, fundamental rights must be guaranteed. In this respect, the jurisdiction of the ECJ still shows deficits, as it is based on the assumption that human rights belong exclusively to human beings. When legal persons are fined, they must be granted the guarantees of constitutional law.The Commission is responsible for investigating cartel law violations and imposing fines on companies.
