Az emberkereskedelem bűntettének aktuális anyagi jogi és eljárásjogi kérdései
This study was prepared in response to the György Mailáth academic competition announced by the National Court of Justice Office. Trafficking in human beings is a highly lucrative, highly latency-sensitive, borderless phenomenon that is growing in scale and scope, and is taking on more and more forms all over the world. In my study, I aim to present the current substantive and procedural issues of trafficking in human beings, in order to raise awareness and to make more people aware of the signs that can be a warning sign to prevent victimisation.
A Study on Entrepreneurship and Growth Nexus in High and Low-Income Countries - The Application of Panel Regression Estimation
While common sense would suggest that entrepreneurship and economic growth are positively related, it remains unclear whether entrepreneurship is a primary predictor of economic growth conceptually and empirically. Evidence from the literature has revealed a mixed result. Some authors conclude that entrepreneurship drives economic growth positively and significantly. However, others found an inverse relationship between entrepreneurship and growth. Within the paper's framework, entrepreneurship's actual impact on growth across some selected high- and low-income countries has been brought to light. The discussion starts by measuring the degree of association among the variables across the selected clusters of countries. A panel estimation technique, more specifically the Generalized Methods of Moments (GMM) technique, is adopted to make the comparison. Data on 39 high-income countries as well as 24 low-income countries from the period of 1999 to 2019 were considered. It was observed that entrepreneurship positively impacts growth across high-income countries. However, entrepreneurship does not necessarily aid growth within low-income countries
Success and Impact of the 2024 European Universities Games on the University of Miskolc
The University of Miskolc implemented one of the most significant and complex projects in its history by hosting the 2024 European Universities Games. In the research, which is partly descriptive and partly empirical, I examine the success and impact of the event from the perspective of the University of Miskolc, utilizing management theory and sports science approaches. To provide a better understanding of the research question, I introduce the process of organizing the event. The changes in the legislative environment and organizational model of the hosted international sports events in Hungary have significantly affected the event's project organization and, consequently, its execution. I will also look at another factor that influenced the large-scale project, the transformation of the University of Miskolc into a private university, similar to the co-organizer University of Debrecen. I participated in all phases of the organization of the event, I use primary data during the research
Application of column tests to derive transport parameters of manganese in mine waste dump material of Rudabánya
The most accurate method to create a transport model of an area is to determine the transport parameters of a contaminant in the investigated porous media. The batch and column tests are the tools that can be used to derive this information. To describe the transport process in a column, 1D transport equation is applicable therefore the equation's analytical solution becomes possible. In our work, two-column test setups were investigated from the aspect of their accuracy in the determination of longitudinal dispersivity, retardation factor, and irreversible reaction rate constant, respectively. In the first measurement method, a solution with constant concentration (0.01 M Mn solution) was percolated through the column filled with mine waste dump material. In the second measurement method, distilled water was percolated through the column continuously but in a moment an impulse amount of manganese (10 ml 0.5 M Mn solution) was injected into the column at its bottom. The first measurement served the breakthrough curve (BTC), and the second measurement resulted the impulse curve (IMP). The retardation factor of Mn found in the media is similar in both measurement setups (RBTC=1.87, RIMP=1.47). The value of the irreversible reaction rate constant differs in the two experiments; an order of magnitude difference was found between the result of the breakthrough test (µBTC=6.94·10-5 1/s) and the impulse test (µIMP=2.09·10-4 1/s)
Social innovation initiatives of NGOs in a Hungarian disadvantaged area
The study examines social innovation endeavours initiated by non-profit organisations in the Abaúji region53. Addressing the challenges facing the region (emigration, ageing, unemployment and educational inequalities) requires the accurate identification of local needs and the involvement of the population in decision-making. One of the tools for these initiatives is social innovation and support for social innovation endeavours. The key actors in the social innovation process are non-profit organisations (NGOs), which see social innovation primarily as a mission. The aim of our study is to present social innovation solutions initiated by NGOs in the region and to explore the possibility of their adaptation as good practice. The study alsoidentifies the main sets of criteria that, in addition to providing a structured record of each case study, will help to make good practices comparable. Documentation against the identified criteria will support the process of adaptation, which is critical to the successful implementation of social innovation initiatives
Platforms and trust as two columns of sharing economy
In the past two decades, economic models based on platform-based sharing, driven by the IT revolution, have caused a fundamental shift in traditional business practice, global capitalism, and societal values. The platform, along with all its features, has taken over the role of the organizational form since they have brought together strangers with under-utilized capacities and belongings, with those who need them without looking for ownership. The entire economic ecosystem - marketing techniques, business practices, supply chains, and consumption habits - has undergone a significant transformation. Consumer behavior is changing rapidly, and consumers are looking for appropriate and efficient access to goods and services through the Internet, without the financial, emotional, and logistical burdens of ownership. The radius of trust which was initially confined to family, friends, and local communities; now encompasses strangers who do not speak a common language and who are in different countries. Trust driven by Digital Identity (DI) and Trust and Reputation Information (TRI) have enabled what was considered unbelievable or even impossible some years ago. Further expansion and deepening of trust, based on new technologies combined with the international legal framework, has the potential to rewrite modern capitalism and societal values. This paper introduces the role of platforms in the evolution of the sharing economy, the role of trust in promoting such platforms, and the role of well-designed platforms in fostering and nurturing trust which is essential for promoting and sustaining sharing economy models
The effect of bowing technique on violin sound
By the bowing of a violin especially by folk and gipsy bands a special bowing technique can be observed. Often a diagonal (not perpendicular to the string) bowing, resp. the bow slids onto the fingerboard. This study deals with the effect of this special bowing technique on the emitted sound of a violin and compares it with the classic detaché bowing technique on all four strings

Challenges in defining and measuring social resilience
Over the past two decades, resilience has gained considerable popularity in both social and economic sciences, reinforced by the effects of various economic and social shocks and the pandemic that has spread worldwide. On the other hand, more and more detailed and extensive studies have been launched on the various types of resilience (social, economic, ecological, etc.), which, in addition to the undoubtedly useful scientific results, have highlighted the elusive nature of the phenomenon and the lack of a centripetal force to channel the various lines of research in a single direction and unify the various interpretative frameworks.
The paper attempts to provide a conceptual overview of one type of resilience, social resilience, based on the available theoretical framework. With the help of previous research results, I will define a set of indicators for this concept to test and verify it in the context of empirical research. Refining the indicator set and the definition also provides an opportunity to distinguish between different types of resilience partially, thus contributing to a more accurate scientific understanding. The added value of the paper is that some of the indicator groups have been tested empirically, thus demonstrating the scientific value of the method
An attempt for analysing the agricultural performance and potential in Romania on NUTS3 county level
Present study proposes to give a snapshot view on the Romanian agriculture regarding its potential and performance. The analysis is made with recent datasets referring to the year 2020. County level (NUTS3) calculations have been made to give a more detailed view of the territorial diversity of the Romanian agriculture. A scoring model had been constructed in order to reflect the agricultural potential and performance level of each Romanian county
