L’étoffe des cadres. Un accès genré à la fonction publique d'Etat

    No full text

A greedy algorithm for the estimation of instantaneous frequencies in the time-frequency plane

    No full text
In this paper, we propose to study mode recovery in the time-frequency plane from a parametric perspective. Formulating the inverse problem to solve, we seek to retrieve the number of components as well as their parameter. To that end, we propose a greedy algorithm that iteratively add new components to the solution, while providing at each step a coarse-to-fine optimization to avoid local minima. Numerical results allows to assess the performance of our method, with respect to component and instantaneous frequency retrieval.

Characterization of Neofusicoccum parvum small secreted proteins belonging to Alt a1 and cerato-platanin families affecting defenses in Nicotiana benthamiana and Vitis vinifera

International audienceBotryosphaeria dieback, which is associated with xylem-inhabiting Botryosphaeriaceae fungi, is one of the major Grapevine Trunk Diseases (GTDs) responsible for significant reduction of longevity and productivity of grapevine. Since the ban of sodium arsenite, no efficient treatment is available to fight against GTDs. Neofusicoccum parvum is considered as one of the most aggressive Botryosphaeriaceae causing wood decay. However, little is known about the molecular players of host-pathogen interaction. In this study, we characterize three small secreted proteins (NpCP1, NpAA1.1, and NpAA1.2) from N. parvum, previously isolated by their affinity for arsenite. Sequence and structure analysis revealed that these secreted proteins belong to cerato-platanin and major allergen Alt a1 families, and have strong structure similarity with known effectors from other pathogenic fungi. NpCP1, NpAA1.1, and NpAA1.2 expression was early induced after infection of grapevine wood with N. parvum, suggesting a role in the colonization process. Further investigation of the role of these secreted proteins was realized after transient overexpression in Nicotiana benthamiana and Vitis vinifera. Whereas their expression did not trigger extensive cell death in both systems, our work shows that these small secreted proteins could differentially manipulate the expression of defense genes after agroinfiltration, and could thus be considered as effectors. More specifically, downregulation of enzymes involved in ROS production and ethylene biosynthesis suggests a role during wood colonization

Homolytic Photocleavage of the B–N Bond in N-Heterocyclic Carbene Borane Scaffolds: Towards Efficient Type I Photoinitiators

    No full text
International audienceA new family of Type I photoinitiators based on N-heterocyclic carbene borane is introduced. The compounds are synthesized using a previously unknown homolytic B–N cleavage reaction. Three original NHC-amino borane compounds were designed and synthesized, and their UV absorption properties were assessed. All exhibit high molar extinction coefficients and frontier orbitals on the N-atom-bearing group. Their photolysis is rapid. ESR experiments clearly support the B–N homolytic bond cleavage to both NHC-BH2 • and a delocalized radical centered mostly on sulfur. Outstanding polymerization profiles of a benchmark trifunctional acrylate monomer are noted in laminate, where the final acrylate conversions reached 70% with filtered light (λ > 300 nm)

Elucidating the role of dopants in the photocatalysis of ZnO nanowires for enhanced water remediation: A comprehensive analysis using Al, Ga, Cl, Cu, Sb, Al-Ga, and Al-Cl

    No full text
International audienceAs a sustainable semiconductor absorbing UV light while exhibiting high photocatalytic activity, ZnO in the form of nanowires has emerged as a promising candidate. Here, its intentional doping with Al, Ga, Cu, Sb, Cl, Al-Ga, and Al-Cl is investigated to thoroughly assess its effects on photocatalysis. We show that the photocatalytic processes are governed by • OH hydroxyl radicals, as the main reactive species degrading methyl orange, and that free h VB + act as the primary active charge carriers on the surfaces of ZnO nanowires, regardless of the nature and concentration of dopants. The main degradation pathway is found to proceed through the oxidation reaction of a phenyl ring bearing the dimethyl amino group. The photocatalytic activity is further revealed to be higher for Sb and Cu acceptors than for Al, Ga and Cl shallow donors. Beyond its ranking, the photocatalytic activity is optimal for a specific concentration of dopants, from ten to several tens of ppm, except for Ga doping. Eventually, a photo-corrosion phenomenon is concomitant with the photocatalytic processes, raising concerns about the chemical stability of ZnO nanowires. These findings revisit the effects of intentional doping of ZnO nanowires for photocatalysis and open perspectives to address chemical and technological challenges
