    No full text
Bedtime procrastination and while-in-bed procrastination is one of the important problems frequently encountered in adolescents. This study was carried out to examine the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Bedtime Procrastination and While-in-Bed Procrastination Scales for adolescents. This methodological study was conducted with 348 adolescents aged 12–18 between March and April 2023. Cronbach’s alpha and omega coefficients were employed to test the psychometric properties, split-half and item-total correlation methods to test the reliability, and confirmatory factor analysis to test the construct validity of the scales. It was determined that the Bedtime Procrastination scale Cronbach’s alpha and omega coefficients of this scale were 0.93. The While-in-Bed Procrastination Scale Cronbach’s alpha value of this scale was 0.86, and the omega coefficient was 0.84. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, it was found that the fit indices of both scales were greater than 0.90 and that the RMSEA was less than 0.08. The Bedtime Procrastination and While-in-Bed Procrastination Scales for adolescents, whose Turkish psychometric properties were examined in this study, are valid and reliable measurement tools. These scales can be used to evaluate whether adolescents procrastinate going to bed and sleeping while in bed and what activities they are engaged in before going to sleep, to reduce inadequate sleep habits, and to develop sleep-focused education programs

Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd, hicrî II. asırda yaşayan zâhidlerdendir. Kaynaklar, Hasan-ı Basrî’nin öğrencisi olan Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd’i sûfîlerin ve abidlerin şeyhi olarak tanıtmıştır. Râbia el-Adeviyye ve Utbetü’l-Gülâm gibi Basra’nın önemli zâhidlerinin ondan istifade ettiği rivayet edilmiştir. Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd’in Allah sevgisi konusunda fikir beyan etmiş olması ve ilk hankâhın öğrencisi tarafından kurulması, onun tasavvuf tarihindeki önemini gösteren diğer hususlardır. Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd’in düşünce fikir ve faaliyetlerine dair kapsamlı bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Bu çalışmada Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd’in hayatı, hocaları, öğrencileri, zühd anlayışı ve tasavvuf tarihindeki konumunu ortaya koyma amacıyla, İslâm tarihi, hadis ricâl literatürü ve tasavvuf klasiklerinde onun hakkındaki bilgiler tespit edilerek değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. İnceleme sonucunda Abdülvâhid b. Zeyd’in ilk sûfî tarifini yaptığı, etrafında müridleri olan bir şeyh profili çizdiği, müridlerini riyâzete yönlendirdiği ve zikir halkaları hakkında fikir beyan ettiğine dair bulgular tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgular, onun tasavvufun kurumsallaşmasına öncülük ettiğini göstermektedir.Abdulwahid b. Zayd is one of the ascetics who lived in the second century AH. Sources have introduced Abdulwahid b. Zayd, a student of Hasan al-Basri, as the sheikh of Sufis and worshippers. It has been reported that prominent ascetics of Basra, such as Rabi’a al-Adawiyya and Utbah al-Ghulam, benefited from him. Abdulwahid b. Zayd’s expression of ideas on the love of God and the establishment of the first khanqah by his disciple are other aspects that highlight his significance in the history of Sufism. A comprehensive study on the thoughts and activities of Abdulwahid b. Zayd has not been conducted. In this study, information about Abdulwahid b. Zayd’s life, teachers, students, understanding of asceticism, and his position in the history of Sufism has been identified and evaluated using Islamic history, hadith literature, and Sufi classics. As a result of the examination, findings have been identified indicating that Abdulwahid b. Zayd provided the first definition of a Sufi, was introduced as a sheikh with disciples around him, guided his disciples towards ascetic practices, and expressed ideas about dhikr circles. These findings demonstrate that he played a pioneering role in the institutionalization of Sufism
