Random Projection on Sparse Representation based Classification for Face Recognition
Get PDFSparse Representation based Classification for Face Recognition (SRC-FR) has becomes popular, because of its ability to overcome several problems in FR such as occlusion and image corruption. Given this advantages, this method suffers from heavy computational process. In this paper we propose dimensionality reduction of image samples to reduce the compu- tational burden. This reduction is performed by multiplying the feature matrix with random projection matrix (Φ) of smaller size than feature matrix A. Two random projection matrices are generated using Gaussian and Uniform distribution. Several reduction factor in matrix Φ are verified which are from 1 to 256, are evaluated. Higher reduction factor indicates higher dimen- sionality reduction. As a reference we compared the proposed reduction method to the classical linear down scaling the image. The simulation results on AT&T Dataset that consist of 400 images shows that the proposed method with reduction factor of 8 to 256, achieve recognition rate higher than the classical linear down-scaled method. Plastic waste is very difficult to decompose naturally; thus, it has not been a serious concern due to the lack of human awareness of the environment. The purpose of this research is to educate the public so that plastic waste can be processed into something useful by recycling it into paving blocks for roads. The research method used was qualitative research methods. This study discusses the design of an educational website about recycling waste into roads. This website aims to educate the public to be more concerned about the environment by utilizing waste by recycling it into roads. This research’s discussion is the design of an educational website about waste recycling for the community and create a community that cares about the environment. Business Performance and Implementation of Total Quality Management: A Case Study in Indonesia

The research was conducted as there was not much research done to explore the application of TQM in coffee exporting companies in the city
of Kintamani, Bali. Thus, this research plays an important role in examining the effect of the application of total quality management factors
on company performance. In this research, the effect of TQM variables which are: customer focus factors, continuous improvement factors
and employee empowerment factors on the company’s performance was measured by using a balanced scorecard approach. The research
result showed that the customer focus, the continuous improvement, and the employee empowerment factor has a positive impact on the
performance of coffee exporting companies in the City of Kintamani. The result showed that continuous improvement factor has a more
dominant influence compared to the customer focus factors and the employee empowerment factor. Thus, it is very important to consider the
consistency when the companies implement TQM. In conclusion, TQM is important for coffee exporting companies in Indonesia to enter
global competition, especially for world market-oriented companies and should be supported by the government and stakeholders
Presence of Pretrial in the Perspective of the Pancasila State of Law
No full textPretrial is a process that precedes a trial in court or a preliminary examination before entering a trial. However, in its application, pretrial institutions both before and after the Constitutional Court Decision Number 21/PUU-XII/2014 are not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code and also have weaknesses or shortcomings. This paper aims to find out the presence of pretrial institutions in the perspective of the Pancasila state of law. In other hand, pretrial institution as an institution that oversees the protection of the human rights of suspects/defendants is regulated in Chapter X Articles 77 to Article 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The determination of the suspect must be carried out carefully by taking into account the principle of presumption of innocence as a general principle in criminal procedural law that must be enforced by law enforcers. In law enforcement, of course, there must be supervision both vertically and horizontally so as to minimize the occurrence of irregularities. Therefore, it is important to establish an Ad Hoc institution as a substitute for a Pretrial institution in which the judges consisting of career judges, legal practitioners and academics can act whether there is an application or not which is filed by the suspect/defendant or his family or proxies so that the decision is objective. Smartphone Usage in the Collection of Zakat
No full textFor zakat organizations, the corona virus pandemic disaster has an impact on zakat
funds, infaq, shodaqoh so that a strategy and innovation is needed, namely by utilizing
information technology through web-based information system applications as a medium to
facilitate and improve the efficiency of zakat management in collecting zakat using smartphones.
The purpose of this research is to get an overview and illustration of the use of smartphones
among the community and zakat organizations in the collection of zakat. This research uses
descriptive quantitative method. The results showed that the use of smartphones has not been
fully implemented, system updates from the application itself is still in the development stage,
the lack of maximum socialization of zakat applications so that many people do not know how
to leave zakat by using a smartphone. In addition, not all levels of society have smartphones so
the use of smartphones has not been thorough. This research brings usefulness and important
information, especially the use of smartphones that can bring a positive impact to the community
in depositing zakat, infaq, shodaqoh because it is more effective, efficient, easy, simple, fast
especially in the current pandemic conditions that are recommended not to leave the house

No full textKegagalan investasi saham dapat dipicu karena investor kurang mencermati kondisi keuangan perusahaan yang merupakan cerminan keberhasilan para manajer dalam mengelola dana yang tersedia di perusahaan. Kebijakan dividen kepada pemegang saham, ditenggarai berdampak terhadap minat investor dalam membeli saham. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah informasi arus kas operasi dan kebijakan dividen memiliki dampak terhadap pergerakan harga saham.
Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Perusahaan IDX High Dividen 20 Index dengan metode deskriftif kuantitatif pada ukuran Populasi 100 dan ukuran sampel 55 laporan keuangan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Uji statistik menggunakan analisis jalur, analisis korelasi, analisis koefisien determinan dan ujit.
