IoT based housing area portal with NodeMCU, Web, and Android Applications
The access time of using the portal in certain blocks in a residential area can be a problem for some residents. Another problem that arises is if the officer holding the portal key is not in place. The purpose of this study is to create a system to regulate access rights to a particular block within a residential area so that the opening and closing of the portal can be done at any time by residents in the intended area. There are several blocks of this system, namely the NodeMCU controller block, ESP32CAM, Android applications, and web applications that are built using the PHP and MySQL programming languages. NodeMCU is used as the main controller to manage servo motors, send and receive data to and from the server, receive input related to open and close portals from the android application. The web application is used to register users, view the portal usage log, and verify the login process of the application. This system has been running well based on the results of tests that have been carried out, where the registration process, login, opening and closing portals, log usage is in accordance with the objectives to be achieved
Development of Laboratory Equipment Inventory System Using Radio Frequency and Internet of Things
The purpose of this research is to create a laboratory equipment inventory system. With this system, users, namely lecturers, lab assistants, and final project students, can find out the borrower's data, borrowing time, return time, and the tool availability status. The research method used is experimental. This system is based on IoT technology. The main brain from the hardware side uses the NodeMCU ESP8266. NodeMCU, apart from being a controller, can also function as a WiFi module. On the server-side, PHP and MySQL are used. When the user wants to borrow a tool, the user can use an RFID tag to open the cupboard. Furthermore, the NodeMCU will continue to scan for the presence of items in the cupboard using a radio frequency with RF433MHz. This information is sent to the server when the cupboard is closed and locked automatically. The server will receive the information and decipher the information. As a result, the testing process in this study proved that the system has been able to detect the presence of items in the cupboard and track anyone who borrows laboratory equipment with a 100% success percentage
Smart Cluster Housing Monitoring with ESP32, ESP-Mesh and Django
The purpose of this study is to create a monitoring system for cluster housing. The method used in this research was experimental. Monitoring carried out in this system was installed and tested on ten houses. This system used an ESP-MESH for communication between ESP32 boards in residential areas. The process of sending data to the online server used two ESP32 boards that function as a mesh server and a gateway for data transmission. The data sent is in the form of data from ultrasonic sensors, PIR1 and PIR2 sensors, Flame sensors, Gas sensors, and Photos. The photo result was taking by ESP32CAM when the system detects an intruder. When something bad happens, such as fire detection, intruders, and gas leaks, residents will receive text and image notifications through the LINE application. The head of security will also get notifications via the web application. The web application is built using the Django framework. The results of this study are a monitoring system for cluster housing using ESP32, ESP-MESH, and Django. Based on the test results, this system has been running well by the initial objectives
