The paper situated, within the theoretical framework of development communication, adopted focus group discussion and purposive sampling technique. 19 doctoral researchers of the National Centre for Technology Management, Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife, an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Nigeria were purposively selected out of the 37 researchers at the Agency. They were so selected because they are the top researchers who executed the major research projects at the institution. Questionnaires were administered to the researchers; they were also engaged in a focus group discussion because the issue beinginterrogated is of common interest to them. It concluded that the major media of communication of science and technology research outcomes are journal, conference paper, books and monographs because they are the acceptable standards of communicating research findings and means of determining career advancement, while alternative media of communication are not yet popular because of their non-acceptability as means of disseminating research outcomes. Nigeria is one of the epicenters of the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) with substantial cases. Globally, lack of knowledge of SCD especially people within the reproductive age is frequently attributed to the increase in recorded cases of SCD. Therefore, this study investigates online presence of reproductive health advocacy campaign organisations and knowledge of sickle cell disease among undergraduates of two private universities in Oyo State. The study is anchored on Information Processing Theory; it adopted exploratory sequential research design involving content analysis and descriptive survey research design. Qualitative data involved ten health advocacy organisations; through content analysis using non/frequency counts and contingency data analysis; quantitative data collection involved a sample of 323 undergraduates of Lead City University and Kola Daisi University using self-developed \u27Social Media Sickle Cell Advocacy Campaign Questionnaire\u27 administered on Google forms and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, Findings revealed that ten advocacy organisations have online presence majorly on Twitter (70%), Instagram (70%) and Facebook (70%); fully involved in providing online support services through informative sharing of educational contents, research findings, organising conferences and fund raising. Findings further revealed that majority of the undergraduates have a good knowledge of SCD which suggested that online advocacy campaigns effectively enhance their knowledge. Again, there was a significant relationship between social media advocacy campaigns and the level of knowledge of SCD (0.701; P=0.000). The study concludes that social media platforms are potential and powerful tools for disseminating health information and suggest its intensive and proactive use among the young people.&nbsp

Alcoholism and drug abuse can lead to serious health challenges. A girl-child who abuses alcohol and drugs is more likely to struggle with addiction later in life likewise have permanent and brain damage. It is therefore recommended that couples with marital related issues should seek help from social workers for guidance. Marriage and family life counsellors should organize education seminars on the influence of marital instability and single parenthood on children especially the girl-child on educational performance. There is a need for vital consideration for policymakers, government and other stakeholders to promote the academic performance of children who are products of broken homes.&nbsp

Diachronizing the Popular: from Hip-Hop to Orality

The development of studies in African music has been pioneered in the studies of scholars across the globe. African scholars whose theories help to shape the development do so in the quest to map out the strategy that would march the usual canonical parameter often seen in the fight for an erudite scholarship. In this regard as well, efforts have also been made to see how globalization and civilization have shaped various artistic developments, music inclusive. However, there is a silent trend in the movement of music as an art or a process of socialization. Being an art, when it is African in nature, there is a need to see the diffusive nexus or praxis that might have arisen as a result of global influence, possibly to see the level of syncretism within the African indigenous orientation of music and its current blend with westernoriented form - Hip Hop. The work sets out the origin of the term "Hip-Hop" while it also pays attention to the nature of African music, and the place of African oral poetry in the artistic rendition of the African version of Hip-Hop. In Its specific orientation, it also maps out Nigeria as a case for further investigation

Several attempt shave been made by Nigerian government in order to find solutions to graduates’ unemployment without significant success. Nigerian graduates lack necessary skills, knowledge and ability to work in teams, think creatively or interact effectively with colleagues and potential customers. An enterprise culture which is a critical mix of success oriented attitudes of initiative, creativity, intelligent, risk taking, collaboration and opportunity recognition is the missing ingredient. To succeed in this period of job uncertainty, Office Technology and Management students should not rely on white collar job or paid employment on graduation but must maximize the use of the skills, knowledge and ability acquired while in school to create enterprises in order to earn a living and contribute to nation building. The researchers take a look at promoting enterprise culture among Office Technology and Management students for sustainable living. In doing this, relevant literatures were reviewed on the key words: Enterprise, Culture, Entrepreneur and Office Technology and Management. The paper identified ways of promoting enterprise culture among Office Technology and Management students and concludes with suggestions.&nbsp
