Advocacy of 4IR Agenda in Selected Feature Films: An Analysis of Aneesh Chaganty’s Searching and Nicholas D. Johnson & Will Merick’s Missing
Get PDFA film contains images that are projected on the screen to generate chimera of movements. It is a visual story-telling type of entertainment which can also serve as a tool of edification. Film is also used to probe vital social issues. It is deployed to make the audience take note of a development, learn about a new culture, and experience dissimilar perspectives on a given subject matter. Genre of films include; historical, science-fiction, comedy, drama, thriller, drama, adventure, crime, gangster, horror, western and musical. The genus of film that brings controversial discourse to the consciousness of its audience is referred to as advocacy film. Advocacy film also allows its audience to examine issues from different perspectives. Existing studies on films with advocacy are mostly documentary films. However, scant attention has been paid to advocacy feature-length films. Guided by Emerson Kim’s Media Advocacy Theory, this study investigates how the Fourth Industrial Revolution agenda were established in Aneesh Chaganty’s film; Searching and Nicholas D. Johnson & Will Merick’s film; Missing. The study concludes that film is not entertainment only; it could also serve as a means to display/situate social, political, cultural, economic and technological discourses in the age of industry 4.0. 
A Comparative Analysis of Morphological Changes in Old and Modern English: Evolution, Patterns and Implications

The research draws upon a wide range of sources, includingOld English texts, dictionaries, Modern English texts, and linguisticstudies, to conduct a comprehensive analysis. By employing Labov\u27s(1981) theory of language change and variation, the studyinvestigates the evolution of Old English morphological structuresand its impact on Modern English. A selection of 20 Old Englishwords and their Modern English counterparts serves as the basis forexamining the morphological patterns of change and variation in OldEnglish vocabulary. The study employs descriptive and comparativeapproaches, analysing representative linguistic samples from bothOld English and Modern English texts. No full textThe path to global prosperity, as declared by the world leaders is Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for tackling the problems of rapid destruction of natural resources, envitonmental pollution and climate change. This paper considered Entrepreneurship, Information and Communication Technology Education by looking at the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship education. The objective of this paper is to find out the significance of ICT to entrepreneurship education for sustainable development in Nigeria. The paper, however, discussed the concepts of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneur with the associated characteristics. The evolution and development of entrepreneurship education in Nigeria were delved into. Entrepreneurship education was discussed in relevance to sustainable development. The interaction with some entrepreneurs in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States revealed that small scale business entrepreneurs are encouraged by using computer-related machines for their business operation. However, the paper concluded that workforce preparation is being slowed down and that entrepreneurship education, as a functional training, can energise the youths for the changing globalisation features. The usefulness of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to entrepreneurs was discussed. This paper recommended that more entrepreneurs should embrace ICT in order to facilitate the operation of their businesses and that government should provide an enabling entrepreneurial environment where emerging entrepreneurs can thrive and innovate for sustainability. 
Gender Relations and Industrialization in Literature
Get PDFIn the world today, women’s issues dominate discussions in many areas of life like economics, politics and labour. Women’s roles in many aspects of life are being re-examined. Gender issues have succeeded to a larger extent in creating awareness of the oppression of women. It has helped to check a great degree of these oppressions. As a literary theory, feminism is contributing its quota in shaping knowledge about women and gender roles cross culturally. This work adopted Threefold pattern theory of gender because women have proven beyond reasonable doubt that they are not inferior to men but help mate and should treat equally with men. The work did not limit to biblical achievement the women made both in the Old and New Testament but equally discussed what women have achieved in this 21st century in various field of lives such as education, economics, politics and in religious matters the work concludes that women should give more opportunity to use their God giving talents and recommends that in this era of industrial revolutions women should allow to be fully participated in all aspect of lives that can bring progress and development to the world at large. 
Nigerian Cultural Diversity and the Place of Pidgin Language: A Study of LASUSTECH Students
Get PDFThis paper examines Nigerian cultural diversity and the place of pidgin language within it. The study was conducted at Lagos State University of Science and Technology, (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, Nigeria. Anchored on social identity theory, the study employed qualitative methodology with data collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) as approaches to gain an insight into the cultural diversity and the roles of Pidgin English in Nigeria. Out of 56 participants interviewed, the results showed that the majority of the students identified themselves as belonging to the Yoruba ethnic group. In addition, the majority of them believed that pidgin was an important part of their culture. The study also revealed that there was considerable variation between different student groups, with some using Pidgin extensively, while others only relied on it in certain situations. The findings of the study suggest that there is a strong relationship between Nigerian cultural diversity and the role of pidgin language. The paper suggests that further research be conducted to further explore this dynamic relationship
Poor Performance in English Language and Issues of Security and Good Governance in Nigeria

In other to achieve this, the paper considers the language policy and the of it in ensuring effective communication. The crisis of security and good governance as discussed by writers like Oladejo and Akinwumi are the determinant factors militating against considerable performance of Students in English. The study brings to the fore the concerns of educationist on issues of security challenges in the society. The study reveals the theme of security threats as menace to education and good governance in Nigeria. The writers assert that unless the teaching and learning of English language is given the priority it deserves, issue of security and challenges of leadership and good governance will remain unattainable. The study recommends that the Nigerian government at all levels should take the security of life and property of the citizens seriously so as to bring about the expected and effective teaching of English that may result into outstanding performance of students in examinations.  
The Discourse of Nature and the Planetary Crisis in Nwanmuo’s: The Wisdom of the King and Onwueme’s “What Mama Said”
Get PDFThe engagement of Nigerian drama in the landscape of ecocriticism has been in the front burner of scholarly discourse in the last three decades. Many have argued that little is known or heard about the contributions of drama to this already vexed issue of arts and ecology. Literary critics over the years have x-rayed works done in this regard and findings have revealed that lierature have contributed to the ecodiscourse in the five decades. However, drama overtime especially has not spared the neglect of nature and its eco-elements by the human race in its quest for survival. This paper takes a cursory look into the sphere of ecocriticism and the contributions of two notable Nigerian dramatists - Chris Nwanmuo and Tess Onwueme to the field of eco-humanism. Nwanmuo’s Wisdom of the King and Onwueme’s What Mama Said come into focus as among the many voyages of drama into the world of science. The objective here is to excavate the echoes of nature in these plays and from the discoveries in the study, these plays represent an apt description of the state of Africa’s ecological landscape and the role mankind plays in this eco-degradation. Drama no doubt has a role to play and has been doing so in creating the needed awareness on humanity’s place in curbing the anti-environmental activities going on in many parts of the African continent. The paper concludes that largely eco-problems are not just a consequence of exploitation and exploration of natural resources but largely a result of decades of neglect, inhumanity and poor leadership
Leveraging Office Information Technology and Information Management for Sustainable Development in Tertiary Institution: Evidence from Federal Polytechnic, Bida

It focuses on 120 individuals, including deans, secretaries, deputy registrars, HODs, and directors. A census approach collected comprehensive data through surveys, interviews, observations, literature review, and record analysis. Using a mixed-method approach, primary and secondary data were gathered. Primary data included surveys, interviews, and observations, while secondary data involved reviewing literature, reports, and records on sustainable development initiatives. The research employs a descriptive design to understand office IT and information management practices for sustainable development. It highlights the significance of IT in enhancing efficiency, reducing resource consumption, and promoting a sustainable workplace culture. The study emphasizes information management systems for data capture, organization, and analysis to inform decision-making and implement sustainable practices. Challenges include initial costs, compatibility issues, and change management. The study outlines emerging trends like cloud computing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence integration that can promote sustainable development. By leveraging these technologies and managing information effectively, organizations like Federal Polytechnic, and Bida can drive sustainable development, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to a sustainable future. Sustainable development in its real terms entails meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Food, health and environmental sustainability therefore explores food being grown or produced with consideration of its health, environmental and social impact. This study focuses on the importance of sustainable food systems, how it relates with mental health of individuals and our environment and what needs to be done at the local, global and national scale in order for us to maintain sustainable food systems, good mental health and a sustainable environment. Entrepreneurship Education for Sustainable Development: Implications for School Administrators

The Resource-Based Theory is used to examine the implications of entrepreneurship education for school administrators in this paper. The theory emphasizes the importance of effective resource and capability management in achieving long-term competitive advantage. This means that, in the context of entrepreneurship education, schools must provide adequate resources and support to teachers and students or them to develop the skills and knowledge required for longterm entrepreneurship, such as access to mentorship, networks, and financial resources. The paper emphasizes the role of school administrators in promoting entrepreneurship education by aligning educational practices such as active learning, collaboration learning, inquiry-based learning, experiential learning etc, with prevalent values of sustainable development, creating an environment conducive to innovation and creativity, and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to develop their entrepreneurial abilities. The paper concludes by emphasizing the potential benefits of entrepreneurship education for students, such as the development of critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of social responsibility, which are all necessary for long term entrepreneurship capabilities
