Business Mentorship System of the Igbos and Job Creation in Onitsha Main Market, Anambra State, Nigeria
The Business Mentorship System of the Igbos commonly known as 'Igba-Boi' apprenticeship is a common practice among the Igbo people, especially the Onitsha Main Market traders in southeast Nigeria. The study focuses on the effect of the mentorship system on creating employment opportunities and other aspects of entrepreneurship in Onitsha, Anambra State. Using survey data, the study explores the relationship between mentorship and job creation through the lens of Social Learning Theory, which suggests that skills and behaviours are learned through observation and social interaction. Structured questionnaires were distributed to 375 mentors, current mentees, and former mentees. Thus, with the help of descriptive and thematic analysis, the study shows that the system of the mentorship contributes to the strengthening of the entrepreneurial abilities of the mentees and the growth rates of businesses launch and employment. The study reveals that mentees who are well trained and equipped are likely to set up business ventures thus offering employment opportunities in the region. Based on these findings, the study recommends that government structures be formalized to support and enhance the capacity of this traditional mentorship system in fostering entrepreneurship and job creation in Onitsha Main Market and similar commercial hubs

KEY ACCOUNTING RATIOS AND THE SHARE PRICES OF LISTED COMMERCIAL BANKS IN NIGERIA (2010-2023)
Identifying what determines the share prices of commercial banks can generate important practical
and policy implications owing to the part that they play in financing in the economy. The basic valuation of the
stocks of quoted deposit money banks, using key financial ratios will disclose the banks’ readiness to make
healthy loans, receive interest and fees on other accounts and reduce counterparty risks. This study examined
the effect of some key accounting ratios, including return on average equity, return on average assets, net
interest margin and liquidity ratio, on the stock price of quoted commercial banks in Nigeria during2010 to
2022. It employed ex-post facto research paradigm as well as the fixed effect model of pooled regression
analysis. First Bank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank, UBA, Guarantee Trust Bank and Fidelity Bank constituted the
study sample. Findings indicate that, while return on equity has a positive and strong impact and net interest
margin has positive but weak impact, both return on average assets and liquidity ratio have negative and non
significant impacts on the stock prices of deposit-money banks in Nigeria. This implies that return on average
equity is a strong driver of share prices in the Nigerian commercial banks. To boost the stock prices of their
commercial banks, therefore, bank executives in Nigeria are advised to engage in activities that would enhance
their banks’ return on equity
The Role of International Law and Diplomacy in Inter-State Relations: Implications for Afghanistan and American War Relations

interstate relations, with implications for American-Afghanistan
relations. Specifically, the study sets out to interrogate whether US
war relations on terror in Afghanistan has reduced terrorism in the
country; ascertain how US counter-terrorism strategic relations in
Afghanistan undermined jus in bello principles of proportionality and
discrimination; and determine how US strategy failure in its
Afghanistan’s relations undermined its reconstruction and peace
building efforts. By adopting the Just War Theory (JWT), the paper
analysed the dynamic nature of US-Afghanistan relations, following
the 9/11 attacks, with findings revealing that the US had an incoherent strategy in its war relations in
Afghanistan, which ultimately led to its failure to restore peace, promote democracy and human rights
Role of Administrators in the Training and Monitoring of Attendance of Staff on Hybridization of Learning in Universities in Enugu State, Nigeria
The study looked at how university administrators in Nigeria's Enugu State are contributing to the
increasing hybridization of education. The paradigm used in the study was quantitative. It used a
descriptive survey research design specifically. The sample size is 40 university administrators.
Two theories served as the study's compass. The application of Skinner's Reinforcement Theory
and Expectancy Theory was the study's key component. Data were gathered directly from
respondents using a sixteen-item questionnaire. A statistical tool for analysis was the t-test. The
study's conclusions showed that personnel at both public and private universities were trained and
retrained by their management. They also monitor their staff attendance to work for punctuality,
among others. Findings also revealed that administrators do not bear the cost of all needed training
and retraining programmes, and they also do not provide proctors for monitoring students’
examinations. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that administrators at universities
should seek funds to help cover the expense of funding training and retraining. For effective
monitoring of staff on hybridization of learning, university administrators should ensure that they
provide course proctors to monitor students during online examinations. These will enable the
administrators to perform their roles efficiently to ensure effective hybridization of learning in
their universities

distance learning programs in government-owned universities in south-east Nigeria. The objectives were to find
out the extent of utilization of iLearn video conferencing in e-learning in distance learning programmes and to
determine the cost implications of utilizing e-learning in distance learning programmes of government-owned
universities in South East, Nigeria. This study utilized a descriptive survey research design. The study population
consisted of 12,928 respondents from ten government-owned universities in South East Nigeria; 12,752 students
and 176 lecturers. The sample size for this study consisted of 1,451 respondents, comprising 1,275 students and
176 lecturers. Data were analyzed using mean ratings and standard deviations to provide a clear summary of
responses. The t-test was employed to test the hypotheses, given the unbiased selection of the sample. The findings
showed that the extent to which iLearn platform in e-learning is utilized in distance learning programmes of
government-owned universities in South East, Nigeria is low and that the cost implications of using e-learning in
distance learning programmes in government-owned universities in South East, Nigeria, included expensive
uninterrupted internet facilities, high cost of maintaining computers and other devices used in e-learning, high
cost of downloading resource materials and conducting research online, as well as expensive Megabyte (Mb) data
and licensing or subscription fees for software tools. The study concludes that there is need for government-owned universities in South-East Nigeria to enhance the utilization of iLearn and other e-learning platforms while
addressing the cost-related barriers that limit access and efficiency. It was recommended among other things that
all stakeholders should implement initiatives to ensure that students in distance learning programmes have access
to the necessary devices for e-learning, such as laptops or tablets
