THE RISE OF CRYPTOCURRENCIES: ASSESSING THEIR IMPACT AND REGULATORY CHALLENGES
The meteoric rise of cryptocurrencies represents
a watershed moment in the evolution of financial
systems, driving global discussions on
technological innovation, socio-economic
transformation, and regulatory adaptation. This
paper offers a comprehensive exploration of the
multifaceted impacts and challenges posed by
cryptocurrencies. Beginning with their potential
to democratize global financial systems, it
underscores how they might reshape remittance
flows and influence both formal and informal
financial sectors. While technological
innovations, such as blockchain and smart
contracts, hold transformative potential, they
concurrently introduce notable security
challenges. Regulatory responses vary
dramatically across jurisdictions, highlighting the
global struggle to assimilate this novel force into
established frameworks. Based on a synthesis of
the presented analyses, the paper adopts a
cautiously optimistic stance, recognizing the
immense promise of cryptocurrencies while
emphasizing the need for robust security
measures and adaptive regulations. The study
concludes with a call for collaborative efforts to
ensure a secure, inclusive, and innovative future
for this burgeoning domain
Education for Sustainability: A Pathway to Global Resilience
This work addresses the pressing challenges of today, emphasizing the urgent need for
sustainability. Environmental degradation, social injustice, and economic instability are
interrelated issues demanding immediate action. Sustainability offers a holistic approach to
tackling these problems, ensuring that present needs are met without jeopardizing the ability of
future generations to meet theirs. Environmental sustainability is crucial for protecting ecosystems
and natural resources. Social sustainability involves building inclusive societies where everyone
can access essentials like education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Tackling social
inequalities, fostering diversity and inclusion, and empowering marginalized groups are key to
creating a fairer and more just world. Economic sustainability requires developing systems that
are resilient, inclusive, and environmentally conscious. Achieving sustainability necessitates
collective action on local, national, and global scales. Governments, businesses, civil society, and
individuals all play vital roles in advancing sustainability goals through policy reforms, innovation,
education, and advocacy. Ultimately, the call for sustainability is about more than just protecting
the planet; it's about building a more prosperous, equitable, and resilient future for all. It is both a
moral duty and a practical necessity in a world facing unprecedented challenges. The authors urge
governments and other stakeholders to promote economic systems that are resilient, inclusive, and
environmentally responsible. Furthermore, education should empower individuals to act as
proactive agents of positive change in building a more sustainable and resilient society
COMMUNITY AND GENDER PARTICIPATION IN SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA
The general objective is to determine why communities and women in. Nigeria-participate so
little in community development. The theoretical framework is anchored on the participatory
theory. The participatory theory seeks to .engage local ‘population in the decision making
process and Implementation of projects. Most manifestations of participatory .development.

The Effect of Alcohol on the Performance of the Brain
the brain. It has an array of blood vessels and nerves located in the brain, associated with
effective learning. Alcohol enters your blood stream right after consumption and is quickly
carried around the body. At first, it makes one feel relaxed, but that feeling is followed by
drowsiness or confusion. This is because of alterations to one's brain chemistry.
The Effects of Alcohol on the Brain
Over time, alcohol has been consumed by people across ages in different institution of learning
as it is perceived to have positive effect on the brain and enhance the speed of its operations. It is
however worthy of note that alcohol exert more negative effects than positive as far as academic
achievement of the learner is concern ranging from dizziness, dousing off, anger, unnecessary
anxiety, etc. When the student continues in the act of alcohol consumption, such student
becomes addicted with time. The origin of the word 'addiction' is from the Latin for 'bound to'.
Think about that. Being addicted to alcohol means you are bound to it, one in the same. Alcohol
has become part of you. Making matters worse, heavy and/or persistent drinking also makes
alcohol a part of your brain, and it's not good. This is especially true when considering how
prevalent alcohol use, and abuse, is in Nigeria
Governance, Insecurity, Poverty and Pauperization in Nigeria
The core attributes of good governance include the accountability of government and its institutions
and officials for their decisions and actions, the existence of institutions and mechanisms to enforce
government accountability, and the ability to redress transgressions. Using a descriptive and analytical
approach, the study revealed that corruption is the outcome of weak governance and flourishes under
weak social institutions. Poverty is not only dehumanizing; it is also debasing because it is a condition
that deprives individuals of the right to exercise their potential. The result is that many Nigerians now
live without hope, which has resulted in depression and high blood pressure. Based on the findings, the
study recommended, among others, that restructuring Nigeria will reduce the agitation for self
determination because of marginalization, create a specialized anti-corruption court to hasten the trial
of corruption cases, and strictly observe the principles of the rule of law
Flora Nwapa’s Efuru and toxic masculinity in Igbo Nigerian society
This work focuses on the concept of toxic masculinity in Igbo society, in relation to the two major male characters
in Flora Nwapa’s 1966 novel, Efuru, set in Igbo Nigerian society. The methodology applied in the study is the
qualitative content analysis, using the theoretical tool of toxic masculinity. Toxic masculinity is viewed here in
much the same way as it was viewed in the earlier years of its coinage (1980s). It describes the behaviour of
“troubled” or “troubling” men who are labeled as “toxic” and needing therapy because of violence, or lack of
engagement in family life, and employment (Harrington, 2020). This analysis reveals how the underachieving,
non-committal and harmful behaviours of Adizua and Gilbert, the two leading male characters in Efuru, are
indicative of toxic masculinity. Nwapa’s Efuru therefore seems, at the time of its writing, a foreshadowing of the
issue of toxic masculinity which has now become topical in the present day society of Nigeria. This paper reveals
the urgent need for all stakeholders to devise sustainable means of breaking the incidence of toxic masculinity in
real society. Literature reveals the paucity of works in the discussion of Nwapa’s Efuru and indeed other African
literary works from the angle of toxic masculinity. These factors collectively underscore the significance of this
study

Transfer Pricing Development For Taxation Purposes: Africa As The Focal Point
Transfer pricing carried out with taxation as the motive refers to some
communal exercise inside the wide domain of global taxation. It is aimed at shaping the
tax foundation of the countries that get associated with multinational transactions, but has
ever an issue that is controversial. Current governmental and general worries regarding
tax dodging have animated the criticisms of the recent regulations and controversies
concerning the plans for substitutes. This paper investigated the general grasp of the
fundamentals of transfer pricing have evolved especially in Africa. This work employed
conventional realities and appraisal of related literature. Although it observed a handful
of challenges militating against the application of transfer pricing regulations, it noticed
some progress and a measure of resilience to the employment of the arm’s length
guideline. It recommends that African governments ought to be more resolute in making
sure that the taxable incomes of multinational companies are not diverted away from
their jurisdictions artificially; they should insist that the tax foundations announced by the
companies in their territories reflect the profitable activities carried out in them
TELE-NURSING AND THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE DELIVERY IN NIGERIA: ISSUES, CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS
Tele-nursing is a relatively new technology where the ICTs like the mobile phone, videoconferencing machines can be used by the nurses to communicate nursing care, and services with the patients who are geographically separated from them. It is also used for purposes of diagnosis, assessment, counseling and follow-up treatment. With this system, the patient can access the services of the nurse irrespective of time, climate and especially in emergencies. In spite of its benefits, there appear constraints of this technology as they relate to Nigeria, the health system and the patient’s readiness to accept the technology. This work anchored on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) interviewed some health workers and patients and also made use of publications from the library to appraise if tele-nursing is technically acceptable as a treatment option, patients’ attitude towards the treatment option, the benefits and encumbrances of the technology. It was found that although tele-nursing can save time and be convenient in managing chronic cases, it does appear that it has not generated the level of confidence needed to complement the physical appearance of the nurse in Nigeria among others. Challenges which include illiteracy on the side of health consumers were identified. Recommendations which include that government should subsidise the cost of data to reduce cost of tele-nursing communication among the citizens were made
