SUSTAINABLE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES ON THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF ORGANIZATIONS IN SOUTHEAST NIGERIA
The study examined the effect of Sustainable Conflict Management Strategies on the working
environment of Organizations in Southeast Nigeria. The study examines the impact of avoiding and cooperating
in conflicts on the workplace environment of sustainable organizations in Southeastern Nigeria. To carry out the
research, 720 respondents were surveyed from public and private organizations throughout the region, using a
quantitative design. The study group was found to be highly educated, with most people having HND/Bachelor’s
qualifications, and they were actively working in their professions for 5–10 years. The measurement model
showed that the constructs are both reliable and valid. The Alpha and CR values were both in the good range,
from 0.732 to 0.822 and 0.793 to 0.891, respectively. Since AVD (0.513), COL (0.602), and WOS (0.524) are all
above 0.50, the results indicate convergence. The Fornell-Larcker criterion and HTMT values indicate that the
factors are not related. According to SEM, using the Avoidance Strategy led to a poorer work environment,
whereas using the Collaboration Strategy improved it. The model helped explain 8.4% (R² = 0.084) of the
differences in the working environment and was found to be significant (F = 33.08, p < 0.001).
In conclusion, organizations in Southeast Nigeria should prioritize collaborative conflict management strategies
while minimizing avoidance tactics. The study recommends that Organizations should invest in training programs
that focus on collaborative conflict resolution techniques

The Global Revolution in Military Affairs and Combat Effectiveness: Challenges and Prospects for Nigeria
The advent of the Global Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA) has fundamentally transformed the
character of warfare, emphasizing technological superiority, precision weaponry, information dominance,
and network-centric operations. This paper examines the implications of the RMA on Nigeria’s combat
effectiveness, assessing the challenges posed by structural deficiencies, limited defense spending,
inadequate technological capacity, and institutional inertia. Using qualitative analysis and a review of
secondary data, the study reveals a significant gap between Nigeria's current military capabilities and the
strategic demands of modern warfare. However, it identifies key prospects for improvement through
policy reforms, enhanced investment in defense technology, regional partnerships, and the integration of
artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and drone warfare. The paper concludes that while Nigeria faces
substantial obstacles in aligning with the dynamics of the RMA, strategic commitment to modernization
and innovation can enhance its combat readiness and national security architectur
Climate applications for food and safety: A review
Climate change continues to reshape environmental conditions across the globe as its impact on food safety and food
systems has become increasingly urgent. Increasing temperatures, high precipitation, and intensified weather events
pose direct and indirect threats to agricultural production, food processing, transportation, and storage. These climaterelated disruptions introduce new food safety risks, exacerbate existing hazards, and challenge the integrity of supply
chains. This review explores the dynamic intersection of climate science and food safety, highlighting both
vulnerabilities and emerging adaptive strategies. It evaluates climate-smart agricultural technologies, predictive
modeling tools, cold chain innovations, and interdisciplinary approaches aimed at strengthening the resilience of food
systems. Case studies demonstrate practical applications in sectors such as dairy, grain storage, and fresh produce
handling, while attention is also given to policy frameworks, international agreements, and certification systems that
incorporate climate risk management. Challenges such as technological gaps, regulatory barriers, and inequities in
resource access are critically analyzed. The paper concludes by outlining future research priorities, including artificial
intelligence-driven forecasting, advanced traceability techniques, and capacity-building in climate-vulnerable regions.
Through these integrated climate applications, food systems can transition from reactive to proactive risk management,
enhancing food safety and nutritional security in an era of increasing climate variability

LANGUAGE, LOSS AND DOMESTIC ESTRANGEMENT: A SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF WESTERNIZATION IN YAMBO OUOLOGUEM’S TO MY HUSBAND
This paper presents a critical textual analysis of Yambo Ouologuem’s
poem “To My Husband”, exploring how postcolonial disillusionment, gendered
alienation, and cultural mimicry intersect within a domestic setting. The poem,
written as a dramatic monologue, unravels the speaker’s emotional and cultural
estrangement following her husband’s symbolic adoption of a Western identity.
Through careful examination of poetic devices such as repetition, irony,
enjambment, and juxtaposition, the study reveals the thematic tensions between
tradition and modernity, intimacy and alienation, indigeneity and colonial
mimicry. The poet’s strategic use of diction, cultural symbols, and tonal shifts
constructs a compelling critique of Western imperialism’s lingering effects on
African identity, marriage, and self-worth. Ultimately, the analysis concludes
that Ouologuem’s poem encapsulates the psychological and emotional toll of
cultural dislocation and the failure of colonial modernity to deliver meaningful
transformation within postcolonial African realities
INTERNAL CONTROL AND BANK PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM SELECTED COMMERCIAL BANKS IN NIGERIA
Despite the crucial role played by the banking sector in regulating the
economy worldwide and the significant failures and crises it has
experienced in the past for which t weakness in internal control was
responsible, a majority of the studies concerning the connection
between internal control and firm performance were carried out
employing members from numerous sectors other than the sector. This
research examines the effect of the compliance with internal control
system on the performance of banks in Nigeria Using the survey
research approach, the extent the compliance with internal control
system has affected the indicators of performance in banks was
examined, Frequency tables and percentages were employed to collate
and arrange the views those that responded to the questionnaires
distributed. The hypotheses of the study were tested using one sample
test technique. The research had a population of 84, while the size of
the sample was 69. The results indicate that internal control system has
a strong and positive impact on the performance of deposit-money
banks in Nigeria. This suggests that bank management should entrench
significant internal control components in their banks to achieve
optimal performance
BUREAU OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT ACT IN NIGERIA: A CRITICAL APPRAISAL
Mismanagement of resources and corruption are responsible for the persistence of poverty in
Nigeria. This paper titled Bureau of Public Procurement and Implementation of Public
Procurement Act in Nigeria: A Critical Appraisal assesses the public procurement practice with
the objective of suggesting how to enhance integrity and limit corruption in Public Procurement
The paper adopted both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection and analysis.
Using a population size of 400 drawn fro the Bureau of Public Procurement Abuja which was
reduced to a sample size of 200 respondents through simple random sampling technique, the
paper found; among others that; despite the existence of the Public Procurement Act 2007, there
is improper use of procurement method and this contributes in reducing competitiveness and
value for money such that to a large extent, some contractors are excluded from participating in
institutional tendering processes. Also, most institutions lack of a functional complaint
mechanism to channel complaint of breach or omission of procurement rules and this reduces
enforceability of rules. In conclusion, the paper is of the view that procurement laws should also
cover measures to ensure the integrity of procurement officials and to protect whistleblowers.
The paper therefore recommends that; the Bureau of Public Procurement should consider creating a Transparency Portal that can provide free real-time access to information on budget
execution, as a basis to support transparency in public procurement; and Nigeria should consider
establishing appropriate processes for complaint handling and sanctions on procurement, which
should include effective and clear procedures for responding to credible suspicions of violations
of laws and regulations relating to procurement
Enhancing Entrepreneurial Skills Through Experiential Learning in IoT, AI, and Cybersecurity
The integration of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity presents new opportunities for
innovation and entrepreneurship, yet traditional educational approaches often lack the interdisciplinary and applied
focus required to develop these competencies. This study evaluates the impact of an experiential learning workshop
that integrated IoT prototyping, AI-based anomaly detection, and cybersecurity principles to promote technical under
standing, entrepreneurial thinking, and ethical awareness. Conducted at Godfrey Okoye University, Nigeria, the work
shop engaged 476 undergraduate students from diverse academic disciplines in project-based learning activities and
collaborative design challenges. Statistical analysis of matched pre- and post-assessments revealed a mean increase of
25.5 percentage points (95% confidence intervals ±4.2% , p < 0.001 ) in quiz performance across all three domains. Regres
sion and exploratory mediation analysis indicated that prior knowledge and engagement with hands-on tasks were
significant predictors of learning gains. Qualitative feedback highlighted the perceived value of real-world application,
teamwork, and ethical reflection. The findings demonstrate the efficacy of experiential and interdisciplinary educational
models in fostering future-ready skills and responsible innovation. This study offers actionable guidance for designing
inclusive, scalable technology learning interventions and contributes to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 on
equitable quality education
INFLUENCE OF SCHOOL-BASED MENTORSHIP POLICIES ON EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG TEACHERS IN ENUGU STATE
This study examined the role of educational managers in implementing
and sustaining school-based mentorship practices for young teachers in Enugu
State, Nigeria. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 80
respondents comprising principals, vice-principals, and secondary school teachers
from five purposively selected schools. A structured questionnaire guided by three
research questions was the main instrument for data collection. Data were
analyzed using mean and standard deviation, with a decision benchmark of 2.5.
Findings revealed that formal mentorship policies are largely absent in many
schools, although some schools have adopted informal support systems.
Educational managers play a critical role in mentoring through role modeling,
collaboration, and assigning experienced teachers as informal mentors. The study
recommends the development of clear mentorship policies, regular training for
school leaders, and institutional support systems to improve the professional
development and retention of young teachers
