The study was a descriptive cross- sectional investigation that targeted terminally ill patients at the FMC. Data collection involved an interviewer-administered questionnaire, which included demographic details and assessments using the Modified Palliative Outcome Scale (POS) and the WHO-5 well-being index for evaluating palliative outcomes and psycho-social well-being, respectively. Through Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple logistic regression analysis, three hypotheses were tested. The findings, based on 202 participants, indicated a positive correlation between palliative care outcomes and the psycho-social well-being of patients at FMC Abeokuta (r=.544, P < .01). Further examinations showed that there were positive connections between the medical side and the psychological side of palliative care and how patients were feeling emotionally and socially (r=.395, P < .05) and (r=.296, P< .05) respectively. However, no significant positive correlation was found between social palliative care (social integration and support) and psycho-social well-being. The study recommends that social workers should be employed and be involved in a comprehensive psychological and emotional support interventions which should be integrated into palliative care services in healthcare centre

English grammar is an important aspect of English Language. Proficiency in it is indispensable for fluent oral and written communication. This study examines the relationship between teacher commitment and pedagogical content knowledge as predictors of students' achievement in English grammar in Akinyele local government, Ibadan, Nigeria. Using a descriptive research design, the study involved a simple random sampling of 200 students and 8 teachers from 4 secondary schools. Data were collected using the Teacher Commitment, Pedagogical Content Knowledge Rating Scale, and the English Grammar Achievement Test. The results showed low achievement in English grammar (x̄ = 8.07), despite teachers' high commitment (x̄ = 3.34) and pedagogical content knowledge (x̄ = 3.46). However, neither teacher commitment (r = -0.132, p > 0.05) nor pedagogical content knowledge (r = 0.202, p > 0.05) significantly correlated with students' grammar achievement. The findings suggest that while teachers exhibit positive attitudes and sufficient knowledge, these factors do not directly enhance student performance. The study recommends ongoing professional development for English teachers to improve their instructional strategies and foster a collaborative learning environment where they can share knowledge and best practices to enhance students' achievement in English gramma

Improvement on emotional variance analysis technique (EVA) for sentiment analysis in healthcare service delivery
This research introduces an innovative approach to improving sentiment analysis in healthcare service delivery by integrating Emotion and Affect Recognition (EAR) techniques into Emotional Variance Analysis (EVA). Leveraging logistic regression, the modifications, including adjusting confidence thresholds and utilizing the Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU) function, aim to address high polarity and enable real-time analysis. The methodology outlines a systematic process for EAR integration, offering practical insights for healthcare practitioners. In this study, additional datasets, including the Healthcare Patient Satisfaction Data Collection, the 9 Popular Patient Portal App Reviews for November 2023, and the HCAHPS Hospital Ratings Survey, are incorporated to enhance the robustness and reliability of the approach. The results across three healthcare centers demonstrate the effectiveness of this augmented approach, with comparisons against existing models using performance metrics. While showcasing promising potential, further research is needed to explore scalability and generalizability
