Diabetes mellitus is often referred to as the "silent killer", it is estimated that as many as
1.6 million deaths are directly caused by diabetes globally. Diabetes is a corneal disease
in which the pancreas does not produce enough insulin. There are several factors that
can cause symptoms of type II diabetes, namely due to age, obesity and family history or
genetics. There are many ways to deal with type II diabetes mellitus, there are
pharmacological and non-pharmacological ways, one of which is by applying yoga
exercises. Yoga can increase muscle activity so that it can improve muscle cell
metabolism in glucose absorption, yoga movements can help the pancreas to function
effectively in regulating blood glucose levels. This study aims to determine how effective
the application of yoga in the suffering of type II diabetes mellitus in lowering blood
glucose levels. This research method uses the case study method. The application of yoga
exercises was carried out during 7 days of home visits, the results obtained were blood
glucose levels which were originally 258 mg/dl decreased to 169 mg/dl. It can be
concluded that the application of yoga is effective for lowering blood glucose levels in

APLIKASI TERAPI VOKAL AIUEO PADA PASIEN STROKE NON HEMORAGIK DENGAN AFASIA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS JAMPANGKULON
Stroke is a major health problem in the world. Stroke ranks third as the cause of death, in 2013 there were 5.5 million people died and increased by 12% in 2018, namely around 14 million people. Nationally, the prevalence of stroke in Indonesia in 2018 based on doctors' diagnoses in the population aged 15 years and over was 10.9% or an estimated 2,120,362 people. In West Java, it is ranked 11th with the number (11.4%) or an estimated 52,511 people. More than 9.7 million new cases of non-hemorrhagic stroke. Approximately 60% of strokes that occur each year, arefound at the age of <70 years. Every year, 51.9 million people experience deathand disability from non-hemorrhagic strokes. One of the symptoms of a nonhemorrhagic stroke is difficulty speaking (damaged verbal communication) or understanding speech. Impaired verbal communication is a condition where a person cannot communicate effectively due to inhibiting factors in the form of physical or mental disabilities. Impaired or damaged verbal communication in stroke patients can be in the form of aphasia and dysarthria. Aphasia can be controlled through pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, such as theapplication of AIUEO vocal therapy. The purpose of implementing this therapy is to evaluate its effectiveness in improving motor function in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with aphasia. This method of application involved observation and interviews, with one veteran who was diagnosed with aphasia. AIUEO vocal therapy is carried out routinely every day for 7 consecutive days, with a duration of5 minutes per session. The results of applying AIUEO vocal therapy showed an increase in the patient's motor function as measured using the DERBY scale. Overall these findings indicate that the application of AIUEO vocal therapy has an effect on improving motor function in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with aphasia. This finding addresses the potential benefit of non-pharmacological interventions in managing symptoms associated with aphasi
PENERAPANRELAKSASIGENGGAM JARIUNTUKMENGONTROL TEKANAN DARAH PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SELAJAMBE
Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure in blood vessels increases chronically
with systolic and diastolic numbers showing numbers more than 140/90 mmHg, this occurs
because the heart works harder in pumping blood to meet the body's oxygen and nutrient
needs. Hypertension that is not treated immediately can interfere with the function of other
organs, especially vital organs such as the heart and kidneys. Hypertension can be
controlled through pharmacological and non-pharmacological techniques. One of the nonpharmacological measures that can control blood pressure is the finger grip relaxation
technique. The finger-grip relaxation technique is a simple relaxation technique with a
touch of the hand that involves breathing to balance the energy in the body. The purpose
of the application of finger holding relaxation is to cause a sense of comfort and relaxation
and can reduce heart rate, respiratory frequency and blood pressure in hypertensive
patients. This application method involves observation and interviews, with one participant
who has been diagnosed with hypertension. This finger holding relaxation therapy was
carried out for 3 days in 3 meetings with a duration of 15-30 minutes. The results of the
application of finger grip relaxation show a significant decrease in blood pressure in
controlling blood pressure in hypertensive patients, on the first day before application
189/100 mmHg after being done to 174/100 mmHg, on the second day before being done
160/100 mmHg after being done to 155/90 mmHg and on the third day before being done
156/76 mmHg after application the results were 147/96 mmHg. It can be concluded that
there is a significant effect of the application of finger grip relaxation in controlling blood
pressure in hypertensive patients
