The Educational Status of Turks in Minority Schools: A Qualitative Exploration in Western Thrace
The main purpose of this research is to address the educational status of Turks living in Western Thrace in minority schools. After the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, the Thrace region was divided into East and West, with Western Thrace now covering parts of Greece and Bulgaria. Around 150,000 Turks live in this region, facing social challenges, particularly in education. This research examines the problems experienced by Turks in minority education, the struggles in the process and its effects. The research is qualitative and designed with a phenomenological pattern. The study group comprises 13 participants selected through the maximum sampling method. The selection criteria for participants included: completion of primary and secondary education in minority schools in Greece, pursuit of higher education in Türkiye, and experience in teaching or working in a Greek minority school. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form, with interviews recorded and analyzed using content analysis. The prominent conclusions are as follows: There are cultural problems in the education of Turkish minorities in Greece and there are legal obstacles to solution; there has been a struggle on this issue for years, there have been periodic improvements, but the fundamental problems still continue; it has been seen that many people, such as Dr. Sadık Ahmet, pioneered civil initiatives and that the initiatives had positive and negative effects. In conclusion, this research highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the Turkish minority in Western Thrace regarding their education. Despite periodic improvements and civil initiatives, fundamental problems persist due to cultural barriers and legal restrictions. The findings emphasize the need for continued efforts to address these issues and propose solutions to improve minority education in Greece. It is recommended that legal and educational reforms be implemented to address the challenges faced by the Turkish minority in Western Thrace, ensuring equal and improved access to quality education
Religious Moderation in the Frame of Religiosity and Science Education
This study aims to determine the percentage of science education subjects at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru that are influenced by their level of religiosity and religious moderation. An experimental design is employed as the research methodology. A purposive sample technique was employed in this study's sampling. The study encompassed 100 participants, all students at the school. The data were analyzed using the SPSS tool in data analysis. The findings of the study indicate that students who receive instruction in religion moderation typically have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of their faith. The fact that students in the control group scored significantly higher than those in the study group is indicative of this. The results of this research indicate that there is a substantial relationship between students' science education and religion and religion. Parents' and students' knowledge, as well as the school's curriculum, are factors that affect religion and science education. Religious education has the power to mold the personalities of religiously moderate students
Integrating Al-Ghazali’s Educational Philosophy: Advancing Transformative Learning in Islamic Schools in the Digital Era
This study examines the importance of integrating Al-Ghazali's legacy into modern Islamic education. This study focusing on the concept of meaningful learning and relevant teaching practices. The research aims to analyze how Al-Ghazali's principles can be applied in today's educational context. The methodology employed is library research, involving a review of various relevant literature and sources. The findings reveal that applying Al-Ghazali's teachings can enhance both academic understanding and character development in students, offering a comprehensive approach to modern education
Integration of 21st Century Skills into Islamic Religious Education Learning Methods
Integration of 21st Century Skills into learning methods is crucial in modernizing Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly to address the challenges of learning that are relevant to the demands of the times. This study bridges the gap between traditional Islamic pedagogy and 21st-century competencies, focusing on the material of QS. Al Hujurat: 13. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through in-depth interviews with four PAI teachers from four Public Elementary Schools in Garo City, who were purposively selected based on their active involvement in teaching PAI and their experience implementing 21st-century learning strategies. Interviews were conducted during March–April 2025, recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that PAI teachers apply active learning methods such as group discussions, project-based learning, and the use of digital media, with the main challenges being limited learning time, lack of supporting facilities, and minimal teacher training, while existing support includes school policies and collaboration between teachers. These findings confirm that integrating 21st-century skills into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning can increase student engagement and material relevance, but requires adaptive strategies to address resource constraints. This study contributes theoretically by offering a framework for integrating 21st-century competencies into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and practically by providing recommendations for teacher training and strengthening systemic support
The Influence of Al-Ghazzali's Rationality in Islamic Education
This research is motivated by the need to understand the contribution of Al-Ghazzali's thought in Islamic education, particularly regarding the concept of rationality that integrates reason and revelation. Al-Ghazzali's rationality is considered crucial in addressing the challenges of the modernization of Islamic education, which demands a balance between spiritual and intellectual values. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of Al-Ghazzali's rationality on curriculum development, learning methods, and character formation in Islamic education. The method employed is qualitative research with a library research approach, focusing on content analysis of various relevant primary and secondary sources. Data were collected through documentation techniques and literature studies from books, journals, and scientific articles related to Al-Ghazzali's thought and Islamic education. Data analysis was conducted inductively by grouping main themes that illustrate the relationship between Al-Ghazzali's rationality and Islamic educational practices. The findings indicate that Al-Ghazzali's rationality plays a central role in building the foundation of holistic Islamic education, harmonizing reason and revelation. His thought encourages the use of reflective learning methods and an integrative curriculum that combines religious sciences with general knowledge, while also emphasizing character formation based on Islamic values. In conclusion, the application of Al-Ghazzali's rationality enriches modern Islamic education by balancing the intellectual and spiritual aspects of students. Recommendations for further research include conducting empirical studies to test the direct implementation of Al-Ghazzali's thought in contemporary educational contexts and comprehensively evaluating its impact on the quality of education and student character
Bibliometric: Halal Brand on Marketing Performance
The rapid development of the halal industry has positioned halal branding as a critical element in influencing consumer behavior and shaping marketing strategies. In the increasingly competitive global market, halal labeling and brand image significantly shape consumer trust and preferences, which subsequently impact a company's marketing performance. Despite its importance, research on how halal brands affect marketing performance remains limited. This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of halal brands and marketing performance by reviewing previous studies indexed in the Scopus database from reputable international journals. Using quantitative methods, the collected data provides a comprehensive overview of outputs, organizations, authorship, and topic characteristics, demonstrating the feasibility of bibliometric analysis. The research focuses on articles published between 2012 and 2022, utilizing search engines such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Elsevier (Science Direct), and Publish or Perish. Results show a growing academic interest in the relationship between halal brands and marketing performance, indicating the need for further research to deepen understanding in this area
Efektivitas Restorative Justice Terhadap Perkara Penyalahguna Narkotika: Sebuah Tinjauan Yuridis Antara Kebijakan dan Realita
Restorative Justice atau Keadilan Restoratif adalah suatu pendekatan alternatif dalam sistem peradilan pidana yang berorientasi pada pemulihan kondisi dan hubungan antara pelaku tindak pidana, korban, serta masyarakat yang terdampak. Pendekatan ini telah menjadi salah satu inovasi dalam penyelesaian perkara pidana di Indonesia, dengan menitikberatkan pada penyelesaian yang bersifat partisipatif, dialogis, dan berkeadilan restoratif, sebagai pelengkap terhadap mekanisme peradilan konvensional. Dalam konteks penyalahgunaan narkotika, pendekatan ini dinilai mampu mengurangi overkapasitas lembaga pemasyarakatan serta memberikan keadilan yang lebih berorientasi pada pemulihan. Namun, realitanya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk tumpang tindih kebijakan, resistensi aparat penegak hukum, dan pemahaman yang belum seragam. Studi ini memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan analisis efektivitas implementasi restorative justice terhadap perkara penyalahguna narkotika secara yuridis, dengan meninjau peraturan perundang-undangan serta praktiknya di beberapa daerah di Indonesia
Kajian Semantik Denotasi dan Konotasi dalam Bahasa Arab: Pendekatan Analisis Tematik
In studying the science of meaning or semantics (dalalah science) there are many kinds of meaning, two of which are denotation meaning and connotation meaning. In Arabic, denotation and connotation meanings are not only limited to one dimension as in Indonesian. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the meanings in Arabic that are commensurate with denotation and connotation meanings. This research is a library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection method uses library techniques. And using thematic analysis techniques, namely identifying themes related to denotative meaning and connotative meaning of Arabic contained in books, books, and scientific journals. Because there is no literature that provides an explicit classification of the meaning of denotative and connotative equivalents in Arabic, this paper will contribute to providing an understanding of the differences in denotative and connotative meanings in Arabic. The three equivalent meanings are: the first is the basic meaning and the Idafi meaning, the second is the haqiqi meaning and the majazi meaning, the third is the mukjami meaning and the siyaqi meaning. The three meanings have a relationship or connection with each other
Pengaruh Media CORD-MAM Challenge terhadap Penguasaan Kosakata Bahasa Arab
Vocabulary mastery is one of the crucial aspects in Arabic language learning that plays a role in improving students' language skills, both in understanding texts, writing, and speaking. However, in practice, many students experience difficulties in memorizing and understanding Arabic vocabulary due to learning methods that are still conventional, less interactive, and not interesting for students. The lack of using innovative learning media is also one of the factors that affect students' low vocabulary mastery. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using CORD - MAM Challenge media in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in grade V students of MI Mambaul Khoir Talang Prigen Pasuruan. This study used quantitative method with Pre-Experiment One Group Pre-test-Post-test design. The research subjects consisted of 27 students who were randomly selected as samples, Data were collected through observation, interview, pre-test and post-test to measure the level of vocabulary mastery before and after the application of media and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery after learning using this media. The average pre-test score of 67,78 increased to 83,15 in the post-test. The Paired Sample T-Test results showed a significance value of 0,00 (p < 0,05), which indicates a significant effect of using this media on improving student learning outcomes. This finding shows that the use of CORD - MAM Challenge in Arabic language learning is able to increase students' active involvement and create a more fun and interactive learning atmosphere. This challenge-based learning model not only helps students in remembering and understanding vocabulary better, but also increases their learning motivation. Therefore, this method can be used as an effective alternative in Arabic language learning, especially in teaching vocabulary at the primary school level
Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Tiga Dimensi Pada Hasil Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) Di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al-Mujahidin Samarinda
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah media tiga dimensi efektif pada hasil belajar ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di MI Al-Mujahdin Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode eksperimen jenis quasi eksperimen desain model nonequivalent control group desaign. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi,tes dan dokumentasi. Kemudian teknik pengujian instrument menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan taraf kesukaran soal. teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis(uji t). Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkaan penggunaan media tiga dimensi pada hasil belajar IPA materi ekosistem adalah dengan melihat hasil rata-rata pretest dan posttest dengan perolehan nilai pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media yaitu kelas V A, dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 36,96 dan nilai rata-rata posttest yaitu 84,56 hasil belajar kelas kontrol V B yang dijadikan kelas kontrol dengan metode ceramah diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar pretest yaitu 40,43 dan nilai rata-rata posttest yaitu 71,95. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh nilai sig (2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa penggunan media tiga dimensi efektif pada hasil belajar IPA di MI Al-Mujahidin Samarinda
