Using Mindfulness and a Resiliency Based Pedagogy to protect Forensic Psychology students from Secondary Trauma in teaching
In this paper I will be reflecting on the development of a mindfulness and resilience based pedagogy in Forensic Psychology. I will describe how I approached this using the ‘What’ reflection model by Rolfe, Freshwater and Jasper (2001) which asks three questions:
What?
So What?
Now What?
The paper concludes with recommendations for how Forensic Psychology could be taught in a way that reduces the risk of secondary trauma for Forensic Psychology students by using a Mindfulness and Resiliency Based Pedagogy

Applying Threshold Concepts in Interdisciplinary Subjects
Interdisciplinarity is expanding as a pedagogical approach within higher education. This text examines how the model of threshold concepts can address the advantages, and possible limitations, interdisciplinarity brings. It concludes that whilst threshold concepts are important, they are at times a complicated factor in the design of effective learning environments within interdisciplinary subjects. Regardless of the various obstacles discussed, such as the value of threshold concepts for a curriculum that aims to be creative, the overall notion remains a valuable one toward some form of curriculum benchmarking. Wherever present they illustrate a clear, and perhaps neglected, focus for evaluating teaching strategies and learning outcomes

Crafting strategic thinking: Creative pedagogy for management studies
This paper presents a format from the creative arts, refocused for application in management studies, as a method to enhance and support the development of strategic thinking. It involves the application of multi-page paper constructions (zines) within facilitated sessions to enhance imaginative strategic thinking by both management learners and practitioners. It draws on a longitudinal case study of the six-phase evolution of affordances of a zine as a method for reflective, creative and connected thinking. The focus moves from purely personal private reflections to the possibility of deploying zines for collective reflection and action. Specific examples are provided of zine workshops and events. Strategic thinking relates to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA). The affordances of zines relating to tangibility, efficiency and mental processes appear well-suited to a VUCA context. The paper concludes with reflections on the nature of multi-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary collaborations such as this one
