A state of the art on print advertisements versus commercials : how consumers\u27 brand loyalty affects advertisement recall
This thesis is a compilation of facts concerning a state of the art on print advertisements versus commercials and advertently how consumers\u27 brand loyalty affects advertisement recall. The data presented herein is based on personal experience, library research, observation, experiment and intensive readings of similar works. Advertising\u27s history dates back to hundreds of years ago when people (criers) publicized their wares by shouting what they hawk or sell. With time, advertising has come to be something of a major vehicle for corporate growth and diversification. It seems to have become practically indispensable to our economy and society. Among others, one of the advertising\u27s most difficult purposes is understanding the point of view of potential consumers for a product. Therefore, the study attempts to answer the following questions: (a) Do consumers perceive, recognize and recall advertisements when engaged in actual shopping behavior or pattern? (b) To what extent does advertising\u27s impact translate into the strategy used to select a brand? (c) Is there any relationship between advertising recall and brand loyalty by consumers? (d) Is it possible that advertising can provide the valuable function of reducing the cognitive effort required to make a choice

Locus of control as a predictor of rehabilitation potential in hearing-impaired individuals
To facilitate successful vocational rehabilitation services to clients it is helpful to make accurate diagnosis as to which clients will have the best chances of success. The present paper examines the locus of control construct as a predictor of rehabilitation potential in hearing-impaired individuals. Hearing-impaired individuals were found to have relatively high external orientations when compared to normally hearing individuals. It is suggested that unique developmental processes in the hearing-impaired may lead to the formation of external orientations. Implications are made regarding the development of a rehabilitation prediction model for the hearing-impaired. Therapeutic implications for changes in locus control are also presented
Scholarship budget forms and reports system (SBFARS)
The Department of Computer Science at Southern University is charged with the responsibility of processing and issuing scholarships to outstanding students for their academic excellence in the field of Computer Science.
