An analysis of psychopathy characteristics in a non-incarcerated population
Psychopathy has received increased recognition as a critical clinical construct for evaluation and management of troubled individuals. To date, clinical research has examined psychopathy simply as a global construct rather than focusing on its specific criteria. In addition, researchers have tended to utilize downward extensions of adult, incarcerated conceptualization to understand general populations. Research pertaining to non-incarcerated diverse populations is scarce. This study is designed to assist in evaluation of personality traits related to psychopathy in a general, non-institutionalized population showing that there are selective psychopath characteristics present in non-incarcerated population
An economic analysis of United States agricultural exports to four major trading partners : Canada, China, Japan, and Mexico
The United States government has enacted several policies and programs aimed at promoting agricultural exports. This is indicative of the importance of U.S. export trade in its agricultural products. This study identifies and examines several important macroeconomies factors including policy and international relations that influence United States\u27 agricultural exports performance .. After testing for Non stationarity property of the annual time series data, the study employs multiple regression techniques to evaluate export enhancing factors for Canada, China, Japan, and Mexico. The important findings of the study are: (1) exchange rate inversely affects U.S. agricultural exports, meaning a strong U.S. dollar tends to discourage U.S. agricultural exports while a weak U.S. dollar tends to encourage U.S. agricultural exports. (2) The relation between the population growth of the importing country and U.S. agricultural exports to a notable extent depends on the agricultural labor supply composition of that population. (3) The relation between the gross domestic product (GDP) growth of the importing country and U.S. agricultural exports depends on the contribution of agriculture to the importing country\u27s GDP. (4) Finally, relations of policy variables with U.S: agricultural exports seem to be influenced by the self-sufficiency status of the importing country and the country\u27s nature of diplomatic relations with the U.S
