    Kajian ini dijalankan adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui kaedah pengurusan koleksi tekstil oleh pihak Muzium Negeri Terengganu. Muzium Negeri Terengganu ini dipilih oleh kerana ia merupakan salah satu institusi yang bertanggungjawab dalam memelihara dan memulihara khazanah warisan khususnya yang diperolehi di Negeri Terengganu. Kajian ini tertumpu kepada mengenalpasti kaedah untuk menguruskan koleksi di galeri Tekstil Muzium Negeri Terengganu. Kajian ini juga akan lebih tertumpu kepada pengurusan koleksi tekstil dari perolehan, pendaftaran, pemuliharaan, penyimpanan, penyelidikan dan pameran. Penyelidikan ini akan memberikan cadangan pengurusan koleksi tekstil kepada Muzium Negeri Terengganu bagi tujuan penambahbaikan dalam menguruskan koleksi tersebut. Hal ini kerana pengurusan koleksi tekstil perlu diberi perhatian supaya koleksi tersebut dapat dipelihara, dipulihara dan dapat dipamerkan kepada tatapan umum dan generasi akan datang

    The effect of crime and safety program on tourist travel intention in Malaysia

    The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of planned crime, opportunistic crime and the improvement of safety program on tourist intention to travel. Planned crime, opportunistic crime, and safety planning are the focus of many decision-making processes and destination selection models, which highlight the travel factor. It plays an important role in establishing destination awareness and influencing travel intentions. This survey has been distributed to 384 respondents in Malaysia through non-probability sampling by using Google form. The data was analyzed by using SPSS and was tested using descriptive analysis, reliability analysis using Cronbach’s Alpha Rule of Thumb and correlation test. The result revealed that planned crime, opportunistic crime and safety program influence tourist travel intention

    This study aims to examine the effects of post-MCO on accommodations, food, and transportation toward travel preferences among university students. A total of 368 respondents comprising Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) students were selected in this study using a quantitative approach. The findings of this study showed that accommodation, food, and transportation are the significant factors that influence travel preferences among UMK students. Furthermore, the findings of this study were extending the knowledge of travel preferences within the context of the tourism industry in general and Malaysia in particular

    This study focuses on customer satisfaction towards online food delivery in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The study examines the relationship among effect of price, service quality, and food variety of customers satisfaction towards online food delivery. This study conducted at Pengkalan Chepa at Kota Bharu, Kelantan. A quantitative research was carried out to accomplish this research. The convenience sampling was used and responses from 394 respondents are collected. Descriptive analysis, reliability test and Pearson correlation was used to analyze the data. The relationship between customer satisfaction toward online food delivery are influence by price, customer service and food variety. The results support all the variables. In conclusion, service quality was the mostly effect the level of customer satisfaction toward online food delivery with the highest value

    The study is about food waste management at the dining restaurant in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Nowadays, food waste has become a crucial issue in a community, especially for hospitality industries such as restaurants, hotels, and other industries. Therefore, this research aims to identify the relationship between knowledge on food waste management at the dining restaurant. Secondly, to determine the relationship between attitude on food waste management at the dining restaurant. Lastly, to identify the relationship between practice on food waste management at the dining restaurant. The quantitative method being used is questionnaires. About 384 respondents were administrated among consumers at Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The final result shown that there was a significant relationship between the knowledge, attitude, and also practice on food waste management at the dining restaurant

    Food waste awareness among hospitality students in Universiti Malaysia Kelantan

    Food waste can be defined as food that is discarded from human intake, whether it is other food that has been preserved or left a reputation after being eaten. This food waste has also affected large environments such as odour pollution, air pollution and soil pollution that go through the process of transformation and decomposition. In addition, this food waste can be reused as compost, animal feed or raw materials such as biogas generation. In addition, this wastage occurs is due to a handful of working women who often commit wastage of expired food due to busy work and not having time to cook. Indirectly the disposal of expired food waste such as vegetables and fruits can be recycled as dishwashing products or organic flooring. In addition, to being chemical -free and environmentally friendly, it also saves on student expenses. Furthermore, there is food waste that occurs among hospitality students at the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. As a result, the researcher has made a study on food waste among such students. Therefore, this study is to find out about the awareness of food waste among Hospitality Students at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. Thus, there are 238 respondents who have followed this study who use social media methods such as Google Form, WhatsApp, E-mail, and others. Furthermore, this study can pay attention to the awareness of food waste among hospitality students at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. The results of this study have shown that regarding the behaviour, knowledge and level of concern for food waste in hospitality students

    Finite Element Analysis of Impact Test for Fiber Metal Laminate Fuselage Using SolidWorks ® Simulation

    Fuselage is the central body of an airplane that is designed to accommodate the crew and passengers. In a simple word, fuselage is a body which is mean the external structure of vehicle. Different types of aircraft have different types of fuselages, depending on how quickly they are required to travel and what they are carrying, but a fuselage is always hollow and always has a front cockpit. The main objective is to design a new fuselage with a new material that have the specific strength that may help to enhance the properties of fuselage. The fuselage model is created using the Finite Element Analysis via SolidWorks® software. The dynamic analysis is made to the test the maximum stress and maximum displacement of material. The materials used for the test are aluminium alloy Al 2042-T3, titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V (SS) and GLARE. The three type of material were compared between each other by impact test. The results are shown in terms of stress and terms of displacement. It has been found that GLARE is the best material in terms of displacement while in terms of stress, aluminium alloy is the best material in this study

    Modification of Polymer Inclusion Membranes has gotten much attention for diverse applications comparing to pure polymeric membranes. Regarding the alteration polymer blends, inclusion of nanoparticles filler and treatment techniques have been the primary research currently. However, this adjustment requires proper interaction understanding and the performance of materials utilized to set up the mixed matrix membrane before implementation in such essential applications. The membrane has a main drawback which is a lack of the long- term stability and strength. Thus, it is the uttermost important to increase the ability of the membrane by improving the properties. The objectives of this research are to fabricate and evaluate the physical, chemical and electrochemical properties of nanoparticles mixed matrix PIMs, to study the efficiency of the MG extraction using fabricated nanoparticles mixed matrix PIMs and to evaluate the kinetics of malachite green extraction in aqueous solution using fabricated nanoparticles mixed matrix PIMs. The membranes were fabricated through dry method phase inversion technique. Determined quantities of base polymer and carrier were dissolved in solvent under continuous magnetic stirring until a homogeneous solution was obtained. The membrane solution was then be spread on a flat glass plate using automatic film applicator to produce a membrane film. The performance evaluation of the membranes with different nanoparticles are being investigated using dye solution. The dye extraction of the fabricated membrane is affected by the presence of nanoparticles in the membrane. It has been prominent that PVC membrane is hydrophobic in nature. Due to the blending of hydrophilic nanoparticles, the hydrophilicity of the membrane surface being enhanced. Hence, the nanoparticles will innovate the structures of the supported mixed matrix flat sheet membrane. Apart from that, the other significance of this study is to help findings of MG extraction utilizing mixed matrix membrane and its behaviour

    Chemical modification of lignocellulosic material for heavy metal removal

    There are various waste water treatment options available worldwide. However, researchers around the globe are continuously studying on it in order to add options that could be cost friendly. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to extract out cellulose from industrial waste sawdust and compare the efficiency in metal ion removal by using cellulose and sawdust as adsorbent. TAPPI Extraction method was used to extract out cellulose from the sawdust. The adsorbents were analysed by using Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy to determine the elements and bonds in it. Both adsorbents were mixed with self-prepared copper solution at different pH which was 5, 8,9,10 and 11 for two, four and six hours. The water was filtered after the contact and analysed by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy to determine the amount of copper ion left in the solution. Based on the results, the cellulose act as a more effective adsorbent compared to sawdust. However, both adsorbents were having six hour contact time and pH five as optimum contact time and pH

    Synthesis and characterization of aluminium doped Zinc Oxide by hydrothermal method

    Zinc Oxide (ZnO) is a very promising material for semiconductor device and has high electrical resistivity. Al doped ZnO were synthesized by hydrothermal methods in order to study the influence of Al on the growth of ZnO in terms of band gap and its physical properties. Hydrothermal method is one of the most common method for preparation of ZnO. Al were doped to ZnO of different concentrations (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 mol%). 1.0 mol% of Al doped ZnO showed the lower band gap and XRD were used to characterize the samples. XRD shows the phase formation of Al was successfully doped in ZnO and ZnO gave hexagonal wurtzite structure. The average crystallite structure for pure ZnO, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mol% of Al doped ZnO is 34.59, 34.24, 31.08, 26.59, and 24.96 nm respectively. UV-Vis spectroscopy reveals the band gap of pure ZnO, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mol% of Al which is 2.18, 2.20, 2.28, 2.46 and 2.50 eV. The analyses show that Al doped ZnO successfully synthesized via hydrothermal method and doping with Al reducing crystallite size and increasing the band gap of ZnO
