Postcolonial Feminism, Subaltern Voices, and Literary Resistance in Azar Nafisi's Reading Lolita in Tehran
Get PDFThis study examines Lolita in Tehran (2003) by Azar Nafisi from an interdisciplinary perspective, informed by postcolonial feminism, subaltern theory, and counter-narrative discourse. The central argument is that Nafisi's memoir practices a form of literary opposition, where reading the banned Western literature that humiliates Iranians turns into a feminist and subaltern tactic of defiance under Iran's authoritarian and patriarchal regime. Employing a qualitative hermeneutic approach and close textual analysis, the study examines how the memoir's structure, literary allusions, and classroom scenes serve as counter-discursive spaces of resistance. Through theoretical lenses such as Spivak's concept of subalternity, Mohanty's critique of Western feminism, and Scott's notion of hidden transcripts, the research reveals how silenced female voices are reinscribed into history through acts of literary interpretation. Findings indicate that the study disrupts the binary constructions of the Iranian woman as a victim/passive reactant that is submerged in the role of an intellectual agent. The memoir serves as both a cultural resistance and a feminist self-history. This study contributes to scholarship on contemporary Middle Eastern memoirs, women's resistance narratives, and the broader politics of reading under repression. Future studies should investigate literary reading as a means of resistance and identity formation

A multi-framework case study on advancing outcome-based education in Aircraft Maintenance Technology
No full textInstructional quality in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) is essential for aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce readiness. In the Philippines, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation remains inconsistent, particularly in technical programs where cognitive objectives, practical training, and assessment strategies are often misaligned. This study developed and validated an integrated instructional framework that combines Bloom’s Taxonomy, Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory (ELT). A qualitative case study approach was used, drawing data from curriculum documents, instructor interviews, and thematic analysis of instructional practices in a state-run AMT program. The findings revealed heavy reliance on lower-order thinking outcomes, limited experiential learning opportunities, and weak integration of CBTA principles. The proposed framework provides a structured model that connects theoretical knowledge with practical competencies while ensuring alignment with the standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Key recommendations include sustained faculty development, redesign of assessment tools to emphasize performance-based outcomes, and institutional adoption of the framework as part of quality assurance mechanisms. Although this study focused on a single institution, the model is adaptable to other regulated technical and engineering programs. It also provides a basis for future multi-institutional validation, longitudinal evaluation of learning outcomes, and benchmarking instructional quality in global aviation education

Effectiveness of integrated theoretical and practical teaching strategies in vehicle digital control course
Get PDFThis investigates how the integration of theoretical and practical teaching strategies in the Vehicle Digital Control course influence student participation, comprehension of theoretical knowledge, and practical application, while also identifying key challenges and proposing targeted improvements. A qualitative descriptive research design was employed. Data were gathered through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with three (3) teachers and 10 students engaged with the integrated teaching strategy during the 2023–2024 academic year. Thematic analysis was used to interpret patterns in perceptions and experiences. The findings indicate that the theoretical and practical teaching strategies significantly enhance student engagement and the ability to apply theoretical concepts in real-world contexts. However, the study also uncovered critical barriers: limited access to functional equipment, difficulties in linking theory to practice, and inadequate teacher training in hands-on skills. Participants suggested greater investment in teaching resources, more practical teacher development programs, and the adoption of innovative methods such as project-based learning and simulation tools. The results guide the construction of an integrated Theoretical and Practical Teaching Strategies (TPTS) framework that blends essential elements, resource investment, teacher development, and creative instructional design, with active learning strategies and instant feedback. This framework confronts the key challenges identified, providing a scalable and flexible model for improving student engagement, knowledge retention, and practical skills in numerous technical courses
Методологія Адаптації Офісних Просторів До Гібридних Моделей Роботи В Умовах Постковідного Періоду Та Воєнного Стану
No full textДосліджено проблему адаптації та трансформації офісних просторів до гібридних моделей роботи в умовах постпандемічних і воєнних викликів. Обґрунтовано необхідність формування нової управлінської парадигми, орієнтованої на організаційну стійкість, ефективне використання ресурсів, інклюзивність і психологічний добробут персоналу. Розроблено та апробовано концептуальну рамку Resilient Hybrid Design (RDH), що створена на основі авторської методології “Методологія адаптації офісних просторів до гібридних моделей роботи в умовах постковідного періоду та воєнного стану” та інтегрує архітектурні, поведінкові, управлінські та цифрові підходи до трансформації офісного середовища. Методологія ґрунтується на принципах міждисциплінарності, системності та людиноцентричності, поєднує аналітичні інструменти (IoT, heatmaps, HR-аналітику) з поведінковим і психологічним моделюванням. Сформовано тривимірну модель адаптивного офісу, яка охоплює психологічний, безпековий та інклюзивний рівні. Вперше створено модуль Multi-Level Resilience Planning, що об'єднує фізичні, інженерні, організаційні й психологічні аспекти стійкості та забезпечує безперервність бізнес-процесів у кризових умовах. Запропоновано принцип data-driven управління простором, який трансформує емпіричні дані на стратегічні управлінські рішення та дозволяє кількісно вимірювати ефективність трансформацій. Практичні результати впровадження у проєктах компаній ТОВ “Лемон Груп”, ТОВ “Цех” та ТОВ “Мейт” засвідчили підвищення ефективності використання офісів із 45 % до 72 %, зростання міжкомандної взаємодії на 30–35 % і покращення задоволеності середовищем праці на понад 20 %. Наукова новизна полягає у створенні поведінково-економічної моделі управління офісними середовищами, що поєднує принципи resilient-дизайну, нейроінклюзивності та wellbeing. Практичне значення дослідження визначається можливістю масштабування розробленої системи — від окремих офісів до корпоративних і міжнародних мереж. Методологія формує новий стандарт управління простором, який забезпечує стійкість, гнучкість і людяність сучасних організацій у контексті глобальної нестабільності. У статті здійснено наукову апробацію авторської методології «Методологія адаптації офісних просторів до гібридних моделей роботи в умовах постковідного періоду та воєнного стану» (Methodology for Adapting Office Spaces to Hybrid Work Models in the Post-COVID Period and Under Martial Law), зареєстрованої як об'єкт авторського права (Свідоцтва №137528, №137529 від 1 липня 2025 року)
Correlation Between Histological Structure and Stage of Embryologic Development: A Review
Get PDFThe interpretation of embryonic development cannot be achieved without reliance on histological examination, through which both cellular and structural alterations across developmental stages are revealed. Explanations of organogenesis, differentiation, and successive developmental sequences are grounded in the correlation between embryonic phases and tissue architecture. Within this framework, the present analysis emphasizes how histological techniques are employed to classify and assess the progression of embryonic growth, findings that hold significance for fundamental biological sciences as well as for medical applications. Recent progress in molecular tools and advanced imaging has permitted developmental anomalies to be identified with enhanced precision, thereby facilitating earlier recognition and supporting timely therapeutic interventions. By incorporating histological evidence into experimental and clinical research, a more holistic perspective on both normal and abnormal developmental processes emerges. This synthesis not only enhances diagnostic accuracy but also aids in the design of improved therapeutic approaches, with particular relevance to advances in regenerative medicine
